91. # 82 It seems you need History and Georgraphy Lessons
Ibrahim ,   Jerusalem   (09.20.11)
My friend Saudi Arabia is a sovereign state founded long time ago. Your Israel at least was never there, according to D.C Holocaust museum there is a map saying how Jews fled Europe and came to what you call Israel. But apparently the map said Palestine and not Israel, I can trust the Holocaust museum more than what you say here, you can visit the museum in D.C ;) Peace
92. #85 Check in British History
Ibrahim ,   Jerusalem   (09.20.11)
According to the British history before your fairy tale Israel state existed, way before 1948 there was a printed currency which had Palestine on it and written in Arabic English, I believe also hebrew. Now you and russians and europeans, I suggest russians can go back to The Jewish Autonomous Oblast, American Jews can come to your City "Brooklyn" and the rest can go whereever they came from in Europe. As for Arab Jews who lived before 1900 in Palestine are welcome to stay here and share government and everything as a Palestinian Jew. As for other Arab jews from africa or Yemen or Iraq and so on, if their countries are not welling to host them, we are more than happy to live with them, because we share the same culture, unlike American and European Jews. Regards,

First, I love Israel, have most of my family there and I'm hoping to move there at some point. That being said people like Dr Misgav are really doing their very best for me to stop having such plans. Looking back at history to prove a point is in this case very counter productive. The fact is that there are a couple of million Palestinians who do not have a passport, who can not vote in the elections that really matter to them and who can not freely travel in- or outside their own region. It is shameful that Israel has allowed this for decades. Say what you want about Palestinians but they are human beings and they live where they live. Where are they supposed to go? To Jordan? To Lebanon? And live in refugee camps to the end of days? Why does Israel wish that upon their neighbours? Why be so mean?
94. Really?
Sammy ,   Irvine - Ca -USA   (09.20.11)
So when Ben Gurion drafted declaration of independence there were no Palestinians west of the river and no Jordanians east of it????!!!! What about declaring the emirate of Jordan in 1921???? What about the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians that were displaced as a result of the 1948 war???? Is the educational system in Israel that messed up? Do they teach you lies? or do these arguments help most Israeli sleep at night? See the book Image and Reality of the Palestine Israel conflict by Norman Finkelstein whose parents endured the holocoust!!! See UN records, even see the records of the Hagana and other terrorist jewish militias!!! God your ignorance is what will inflict major damage on your cause...Israel could have lived peacefully had it been a reasonable neighbor but power is blinding at times!!!! you are suffering from being spoiled too long!!! its a zero sum game and something will give....the left in Israel as weak as it is has figured it out but they are just like the left in the states nutured!!!!! PEACE!
95. Inaccurate information by the author
Radboud Rijpkema ,   Amsterdam, Netherlan   (09.20.11)
Dr. Haim Misgav seems to have difficulty understanding the meaning of the English word 'a'. The Balfour declaration states the following: His Majesty's Government view with favour the establishment of Palestine as national home for the Jewish people,' At least try to use objective arguments instead of falsifying them. Thank you
96. #91 ummm...I think YOU need the History Lesson
(09.20.11)
Saudi Arabia was founded in 1932...if you really want to be generous you can say that the founding began in 1902 when Ibn Saud Captured Riyadh. So you could say that Israel was founded at the signing of the British mandate. In either case difference in years between the founding of Saudi Arabia and the Founding of Israel is pretty much non-existent. Saudi was founded when Ibn Saud conquered the land in an aggressive war. Israels borders were defined as the result of a defensive war. So please tell me why is Saudi Arabia legitimate and Israel is not??
97. Jordans Crown Prince Hussein II is Palestinian
Joe ,   LA US   (09.20.11)
and next to be king JORDAN IS PALESTINE
98.  Puzzled !!!
Taher ,   Amman   (09.20.11)
100% I agree with you.
99. #92 ibrahim
solomon ,   bklyn   (09.20.11)
The Romans conquered the land and changed the name to erase any Jewish connection with it. They didn't have to erase an arab connection, as their wasn't any. "Palestine" comes from Philistines who were of Greek origin. This was a name of the area, not a state. The people who therefore became Palestinians were the Jews. This was the case until 1948; when you spoke of Palestinians in 1948 you meant the Jews. If you welcome Jews from arab countries, you are the only one. Abbas has declared any new "Palestine" will be judenrein. Hamas has long stated that they want the entire area judenrien. And from what I hear from my Jewish friends from arab countries, given the way they were treated in the countries of their birth, they will have none of it, thank you very much. As the arabs came from arabia [get it?] in the 600's CE arab conquest, with many coming in the early 1900's in response to a better economy (due to the influx of additional Jews in the late 1800's), and even more in 1947 when Jordan wanted arabs to take the place of the Jews (who had been there for centuries) were kicked out, I suggest you return to your countries of origin. Unless of course you continue to ignore history. Best Regards

"israel", jordan etc. were/are palestine, "if the "israeli" people, the jewish people, the palestinian people, the bedouin people etc., all agree on that, with support of the united nations organisation, the entire people/family of humanity and of mankind.
101. To: No. 91
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.20.11)
Your ignorance is astonishing. Saudi Arabia became a state in 1932. Israel became a state roughly 4,500 years before that. The modern State of Israel was established in our ancient homeland. You really are an ignoramus.
102. To: Joe at No. 97
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.20.11)
Actually, the Jordanian monarchy are Iraqi. The current "king," Abdallah, is half British and half Iraqi. His wife is Kuwaiti. Their son is a hybrid. The REAL Palestinians are the Jews.
103. # 92 IBRAHIM - MANDATE MONEY
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (09.20.11)
was in the three languages, in common use in the area, Hebrew, Arabic & English, which was issued by the British Government for the twenty five years that it had the Mandate over Palestine, that is why it had Palestine on it, restricted to use in what the Brits called Palestine, it couldn’t be used in England where the paper money was printed, nor could the coins be used in England, where they were minted It wasn't issued "WAY BEFORE” merely between 1923 & 1948, during the duration of the "Mandate" Your fictional Palestine never had its own Capital City, or its own Rulers or any money that they issued for themselves I would just love to have a Genuine Ancient Palestinian coin of some sort, issued by a Palestinian entity, its price would be above the price of the most valuable diamond known to mankind Additional facts for you to digest, neither Palestine nor Jerusalem are mentioned in your Koran, are they?
104. incorrect information
hussam muhidat ,   AMMAN   (09.20.11)
I think that the author fall in a big mistake. he didn't know that there is in Jordan people who are ready to die for their land and their leaders. the author also forget that the holy Quran said that Israel will diminish at the end and Palestine will be free at last . I say that we are here in Jordan ready to fight you and defeat you (jewish) . I recommend the author to re-read the history again about the jordanian tribes .
105. #104
nathan ,   Israel/USA   (09.20.11)
Please Please tell me exactly where in the Koran Palestine is mentioned. And when you do I will point you to where in the Koran Mohammad says that the Jews should leave and go back to there home in Israel....are you saying Mohammad was mistaken?

Your post says nothing, means nothing and goes nowhere. Please try to write coherently.

sjoerd ruurd van der ,   mankindnation...   (09.21.11)
i do not agree with your opinion, this time. if i were you , i should mind my own business. we shall mind our own business. i (shall) write in my own way, etc...
108. #107 Why?
Phil ,   Ireland   (09.21.11)
You don't seem to understand. If you tell everyone else your opinion, I can tell mine. If I have to "mind my own business" and not say anything, then you shouldn't say anything either, if you were to "mind your own business". Please try to write in clear English so that all "mankindnation", whatever that is, can at least understand what you are trying to say.
109. #92 IBRAHIM, AT THE VERY LEAST
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (09.21.11)
You could have said "Shukran" when I took the time to clarify your misunderstanding about "Mandate" money Also, you could have been courteous enough, since I went through the effort, you could have told me where Palestine or Jerus alem are mentioned in the Koran Habbi, it is time you learned some manners
110. to nr. 108.
sjoerd ruurd van der ,   mankindnation..   (09.21.11)
in that case, i have my own opinion. everybody has the right to have her/his own opinion.

if iam want to use the word mankindnation, iam free to do that, so is everybody.

Ramzi ,   Jordan   (09.21.11)
Agree, but don't forget to give them their human, national and political rights.
113. #110 + 111 womankindnation
Phil ,   Ireland   (09.21.11)
First, I never said you did not have a right to your opinion. I said that seeing as you think I should keep my opinion to myself, you should do likewise. Second, I never said you do not have a right to use the non-existent word "mankindnation". I said that it means nothing. It does not exist.
114. Jordans Crown Prince Hussein II is Palestinian
Balzeebub ,   Mount Hermon   (09.22.11)
your commnet is partly valid as long as the current King stay's in power. as things stand now in jordan, the rift between Eastern Jordanians and the crown is diverging at a high speed. THIS KING WILL ABDICATE....at some oint in the near future. the eastern JOrdanians will never allow such foolish assumptions such as Palestine is Jordan to see the light of day......

i went on to the next subject.
118. #116 & 117
Phil ,   Ireland   (09.23.11)
There is a big difference between opinion and fact. You can't keep passing off facts as opinions. If you have gone on to the next subject, you should keep your opinion to yourself. Otherwise you can expect me to give you my opinion and a few facts.
119. Oh dear dear! pontus No93
Alf Red ,   Londonistan   (09.23.11)
Oh dear-dear, may I advise you NOT to think of moving to Israel until you get a very good course of history and current situation in the Middle East. It seems to me you, living in Sweden, imagine Israel's neighbours something similar to your Danes, Finns and Norvegians. Have you ever mistook a cobra for some docile snake and had to bear the consequences? If not, try it - a very refreshing experience, I promise.
120. to nr. 118.
sjoerd ruurd van der ,   mankindship   (09.30.11)
so everybody and me also have that right in that case, i thought.
