I don't understand why the word "embarassing" was used here. "Amusing" maybe--but calling it "embarassing" seems odd if not preducial on the part of the author of this article. There's nothing remotely to be embarassed about by what Perry did...

Has anybody noticed that the use of LORD in the prayer, is the informal one, used when reciting the Almighty's name OUTSIDE of actual prayers. This indicates that the whole thing was staged for the cameras and is not a genuine candle lighting ceremony.
