1. Your article is a fountain of information - Thank you
Isaac Storm   (10.29.11)
In addition to reading the article, I clicked on Missing Peace at the end of this article and read the articles by Missing Peace. Of particular importance was the article on the water situation - this was the first time that I had read such a detailed account of the real situation. I hope others will read that and other articles as well in order to obtain a clear picture. The demonization of Israel must stop and the best way to stop it is by printing the truth. Hopefully, Missing Peace will write more articles in Ynet and the Jerusalem Post as well.
2. Any sane,semi-educated, average-intelligence equipped
tom ,   tel aviv   (10.29.11)
person knows these things to be true. Still, how can I expect the "World" (no such animal) to see through this balatant self-delusion, when my own countrymen, be that august& exalted writers like Oz or fine musicians like Barenboim can't or won't??! "Frustrating" doesn't even begin to describe the feeling of helplessness one has, when watching the gullible masses jump to their death from the high perch of hard-fought -for Democracy& Freedom of the Western Civilisation. Looks like the one-celled organisms in burkas& kaffiyehs are to "Inherit the Earth" if we proceed with this madness. But keep on writing these articles, keep on watching programs like "Latma", keep on listening to people like Pat Condell (on the You Tube) and all may not be lost... me hopes

Unless the author can prove that the Egyptian authorities are plotting the liquidation of 8 million Egyptian Cops I am very skeptical as to the prospects of that community being obliterated a-la the the tiny community of Jews that lived in Egypt (who in fact were not obliterated but mostly fled after the Mossad inveted a Jewish terrorists group that bombed several packed cinemas and provoked a pogrom). Furthermore, anyone who quotes from that hack Melanie Philips is also probably a hack themselves
4. NO..ISRAEL IN STATE OF DENIAL
LAWRENCE ,   SAFED ISRAEL   (10.29.11)
But Iran and others will issue a healthy wake up call.
5. Simply Put!
Taz Man ,   USA   (10.29.11)
The writer is correct: the Western world's view of the Middle East is truly distorted. The "Arab Spring" that they hope for will only blossom into an "Arab Nightmare." The true intent (for anyone with any sense-at-all) is for the collective gathering of the Arab mind-set for the eventual attack on Israel, which will only result in a resounding defeat, once again, for the Arab military effort. The age-old Israeli/Arab conflict goes back to the earliest-of-times (no need to go into a Biblical treatise). Israel WILL conquer; they WILL be the victor in this long struggle between Jacob and Esau. God bless Israel and His Jerusalem! A Christian Zionist
6. #3 providing a perfect example of denial
Nic ,   UK   (10.29.11)
Also a perfect example of trolling. I'm sure that all historic records to the contrary are just made up then?
7. Arab "Spring" = Islamism via "democracy". Mentality lacking.

8. Balance&Prosperity ME: BIG ISRAEL&pronounceable spellings.

9. THE WEST AND THE MIDDLE EAST
HERMIE ,   PA USA   (10.29.11)
Melanie Phillips one of our most brilliant journalists wrote about this Islamic situation in "LondonStan" or the Islamitiziation of Europe. Now it is the Copts who will be forced to leave Egypt etc following the Jews..who mostly fled years ago. Libya is already a barbaric state if you saw what happened to Ghadafi and his son. One can imagine what would happen to the Jews if god forbid Islam conquered Israel...During WW II the Arabs had a plan which mimiced the final solution. Within 2 years Islamic fundamentalist governments will be everywhere except Israel. But in say 20 years even Israel could be demographically wiped out as a Jewish state
10. The World Turned Upside Down
Martin Gray ,   United States   (10.29.11)
As long as it's the Obama policy to support the Islamic Brotherhood then nothing will change. 2012 cannot come fast enough for me. Tremendous damage to repair.
11. #3's post is a perfect example of the denial written about.
Harry Wright ,   UK   (10.29.11)
12. The human mind
Sagi   (10.29.11)
is feeble and easily manipulated. This is a fact which has been exploited throughout history by those in the know, politicians, military leaders and especially religious clerics of all denominations. Religious wars have cost countless lives and will continue to do so until Mankind rids itself of this scourge.
13. If things continue as they are
Sagi   (10.29.11)
Israel will be obliterated in maximum 50 years from now and 50 years after that European countries will fall like dominoes. There is only one way to stop this disaster and that is to subdue the rise of Islam and its mission to conquer the world and at best to subjugate others or at worst to annihilate them. This is the correct scenario and those who disagree are indeed in denial.
14. The Israeli Defense Force
Mike Judge ,   Tempe USA   (10.29.11)
People can talk all they want about attacking Israel but they will never dare to try it. Why ? The mighty Israeli Defense Force.
15. 3- Copts - Look at the stats of Christians in Arab world
Ron ,   Melbourne, Australia   (10.29.11)
You do not have to have program of liquidation. Simply look at the drop in Christian population in Islamic countries in the middle east - It is a true eye opener. You do not have to a liquidation policy - simply make their life hard, their blood cheap and their prospects nil. By the way there was no MOSAD when they were killing Jews in Arab countries - e.g. Iraq, before even the creation of the state of Israel.
16. this article is real politik
sweeter than honey ,   far away   (10.30.11)
disguised as the exact opposite, posing as being against the real politik of nation's other than the writer's. too funny.
17. Author Dumb if he believes denial
Tarbouche ,   Aswan   (10.30.11)
The West, Viz Europe want to close out the Jews from history. They know the facts well enough. Obama on the other hand has Islam to motivate him , unleashing Ikhwan everywhere. G-d help us thwart their machinations
18. ...12: the human pocket also.
aviG   (10.30.11)
19. Melanie Philips
Niss ,   uk   (10.30.11)
Melanie Philips should have a position as an advisor in the UN or similar world organisation for middle east and human rights problems she knows what she is talking about i dont think she will be asked because she is not in denial
20. #14
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (10.30.11)
What mighty Israel Defence Force? The IDF that under Olmert and Halutz was fought to a standstill by 5000 Hezbolla fighters? The IDF that under Barak failed to achieve any aim in Cast Lead? You mean the IDF that is helpless to protect civilians from rocket attack so that every child in Sderot (and soon Ashkelon) suffers from PTSD? The IDF which only "success" in the past years is violent ethnic cleansing of Jews in Gush Katif, Amona and Migron? The IDF which has a general who says that graffiti on a mosque is the same as the murder of a Jewish baby?
21. Who's in denial here?
David ,   Amsterdam   (10.30.11)
Calling Mr Kortenhoeven a Middle East expert, or his party a friend of Israel, is a far more serious state of denial than the West will ever be in. The good man hardly knows a word of Arabic (I am not sure how well he knows Hebrew, but he does not speak it fluently, as far as I am aware). Writing and talking a lot about a subject, and being obsessed by it, does not turn you into an expert. His party is largely responsible for the fact that soon kosher slaughter might be banned in the Netherlands (even though he himself abstained or voted against the ban, kol hakavod for him). The only time such a ban was implemented in Holland in modern history was during the years 1940-1945. Save us from such friends, please.
22. Gaddafi's PR firm used academics. Its time to expose these
rachel ,   usa   (10.30.11)
firms WHO PROTECTED CRIMINALS ! "The Monitor Group" located in Cambridge , Massachusetts . A 1,500-strong with 29 worldwide offices, is a consultancy firm used to improve the public image of Muammar Gaddafi around the world . The Monitor Group made a PR campaign on behalf of the Libyan leader between 2006 and 2008. The campaign, believed to be worth about $3m, focused on paying for top academic figures to travel to Tripoli for personal conversations with Gaddafi. Travel cost of visits to Libya included special arrangements, the $3m budget submitted to the Libyan regime by Monitor included $450,000 for a "visitor programme" that would cover "honoraria for visitors ,debrief costs and follow-up costs".

25. #3 is whistling past the graveyard...
Steve ,   USA   (10.31.11)
Another ” show only me alone” ill liberal denying history they rewrite for, themselves. Denial..?...they want to subjugate and kill, all non muslims so please wake up. Yes it is ill liberals that incite this coming war by appeasement with their Islamic Brothers in Arms. It's weakminded superficial thinking of ” hope” and miracles that's the problem. A vote for terror by appeasement is the fact of Obamas FP failure. They guy needs to be impeached for Libyan War Crimes ill liberals celebrate for the great ” Humanitarians” they are not. Look at Gaza and get a clue. Hillary..” We came, We Fought and He died”.
