Every nation has an absolute right to defend itself from other nations, state sponsored terrorism or mad terrorists acting independently but from a "safe" haven of a supposed uninvolved country. If that defense includes offensive operations to root out the attacker, that is a legitimate act of self defense. Gaza must be emptied of terrorists.

Israel disengaged settlers and IDF from inside Gaza in 2005. We the people of the outside world assumed the Gazans would take the opportunity to establish the beginnings of the Palestinian society and show the Israelis they can do it by peaceful means. Therefore instigating the push to get settlers out of the West Bank. But instead all they did was fire more rockets at Israel from a closer distance. Gaza GOT what it worked for.

Some of this rocket attack from Gaza I think is to make Israel take their eye 'off the mark'. IDF now has their marching orders to 'invade' GAZA as soon as the first rockets are shot after the IRAN targets are starting to be bombed. This is long overdue, sure, there will be consequences, but if the IDF operates from a position of strength (and before IRAN has nuclear weapons they can deliver), they will back down, I'm sure of it. Iran's forces are a paper tiger just like Sadaam's, they will be useless when under attack.

You have a point here but I think, the Rockets fired from Gaza, was an Iranian anticipation of an Imminent Israeli strike against Iran. It was conducted to avert Israels attention and resolve. Arn.Sweden.
