31. Time for Israel to draw boarders
Dave ,   Boulder   (11.03.11)
The Arabs will never accept a Jewish state, regardless of size, in the Middle East. At the same time, Israel cannot continue to rule over another people. Perhaps it is time for Israel to withdraw to defensible lines on it's own terms. Then cut off all water, electricity, and connection to the Palestinians. Treat them as a foreign hostile country. See how long they last without Israel.
32. to #12
Golan ,   modiin   (11.03.11)
actually he is condoning suicide bombers, shootings, knifings, burning of Christian churches, anti-semitic and racist economic policies, rocket attacks on civilians, rape, and intimidation of his own "people." but you don't care about the suffering of the so called Palestinian people... you only condemn Jews. That is like blaming Jews for the actions of the Pan German National Socialist Party. But then again you seem to like the Pan Arab National Socialist Party and pretend their flag is a "Palestinian" flag. not very convincing.
33. Great Article ..
Yitzhak ,   TA   (11.03.11)
.. but you know what will happen, don't you? It will be completely ignored, and the same claims will be made about 'land grabs'. And the Western media (led by the British 'Guardian') will publish the Fakestinians' claims as if they are breathes of golden air issued forth from the Lord's very buttocks.
34. Simple cure: Officially reject Two State Final Solution.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.03.11)
Israel must end the stupid game of pretending we accept the monstrous Two State Final Solution, while counting on our "Palestinian" enemies to nix it with extremist demands. The results of this doltist strategy are now haunting us in a big way. The cure is simple. Israel must officially reject the abomination. This land is ours and we can easily prove it to the complete satisfaction of anyone with an open mind.
35. Why is the UN Wasting Its Time/Money?
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (11.03.11)
This is going from the ridiculout..to the absurd..as the old expression says. Its one thing for a request, even though totally illegal and in defiance of prior UN resolutions, to the 67 lines..but to go back further, to the partition plan? Does this imbacile really expect it? Seriously? Maybe he thinks Israel is so weak, and his friends so strong (UN) that he can achieve the reversal of all the wars they (the Arab incluidng Pales regiements) started. If one had been lost, well we know. Read Michael Orens Six Days of War for reference. 500,000 Israelis moving, when 8,000 put up a good fight over the Strip (and Hamas took over). But there is a flip side: if the US was balking before, or indecisive...(not), think of what it is thinking now. Then of course, with Israeli armor in the aras..who is going to force them out, Micronesia? Its like Texas withdrawing from the Union..wont never happen. But Texas at least has some tanks.
36. Peaceful coexistence
Albrecht Klein ,   Germany   (11.03.11)
You mean like working for your living instead of relying on international welfare and playing Jihad all day long? Come on, you must be joking.
37. Israel is isolated and declining due to its illegal policies
american observer ,   mclean, virginia   (11.03.11)
Just a word of advice from an american. You all had better make peace under the current two-state solution or face an even worse one-state solution which your people will surely lose.
38. Many ignorant people putting inaccurate statements on YNET
christian palestinia ,   hong kong   (11.03.11)
My father was born in Ramallah in 1942 and he was given a birth certificate from the State of Palestine, which was written in Arabic, English, and even Hebrew. I myself have various Palestine currency bills (I Palestine pound, 5 Palestine pounds, and 10 Palestine pounds bills) which were printed and used for decades before 1948. Please stop your zionist lies and propaganda.
39. Israel for the Jews; "palestine" for the Arabs.
rick ,   walnut grove   (11.03.11)
new partition? let all the arabs go to palestine. they are unhappy in Israel, right? let them go to where they'll be happier. let them leave the Jews alone and let them kill each other.
40. #6
Joe ,   Israel   (11.03.11)
Finally, someone other than me has spoken the absolute truth. The San Remo conference outlined and designated the size and location of Israel. In addition, the UN has no legal right to tamper with the decisions of the San Remo Conference. When will someone apprise the UN of this. Israel, move into any neighborhood of your territory that you want to. No one has the right to say otherwise. Abbas's outline of "Palestine" is nothing more than a bunch of garbage.
41. #12-Steiner
M.J. Eizen ,   Petah Tikvah, Israel   (11.03.11)
For a person living in Bahrain, which is ruled by a Sunni minority, which actively oppresses, shoots and jails its Shia majority, you should know better than to shoot your mouth off on these pages. Tell you what-Go tell the Emir or the King to give equal rights to the Shia, and let's see what happens to you. Hypocrite.
42. #31. Dave, there is another solution
A ,   Belgium   (11.03.11)
Ever heard of Rachavam "Ghandi" Ze'evi who was murdered by arab terrorists in the US? He and his political party "moledet" (homeland) had a very peaceful, non-violent solution to removing the arabs from Israel, called transfer. Make their lives miserable and they will leave on their own accord. I've heard him speak and even the most ardent skeptics were convinced that this could work. I still believe it. Check it out.
43. 900.000 Jews left the Arab world
Frankie Littlehammer ,   New Herstal, TX, USA   (11.03.11)
We keep forgetting that 900.000 Jews left the Arab world after 1948, while 630.000 Arabs left Israel. Isn't that a fair population exchange? Shouldn't people stop complaining?
44. To: No. 37
Sarah B ,   U.S.a. / Israel   (11.03.11)
Just a word of advice from another American. Don't address subjects of which you know nothing. Israel will annex Judea and Samaria, and will repatriate its Arab residents to Jordan, country of their citizenship. Demographics looking better and better for Israel, eh?
45. Futile historical arguments.
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.03.11)
It's been going on for more than 100 years and will go on for another 100 years. That is, unless both sides come to their senses and decide not to debate history any longer. Take the map, draw practical lines, go home and start living. If the immediate parties cannot do it themselves, the Great Powers need to step in and impose peace with security without any further waiting.
46. #38 - Try as you may...
Devorah   (11.04.11)
there was no sovereign nation called "palestine" in 1942 nor has there ever been. "Palestine" was nothing more than an interim territory, the same as it is today. The bills you refer to were not even printed in "palestine." They were a part of the pre-1948 British Mandate followed by Israel's conversion to the Lira. Oh, and did you notice all the Hebrew writing on the "palestinian" bills?
47. Israel should welcome break up of terrorist P.A.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.04.11)
The break up of the terrorist P.A,. should be welcomed by Israel. It is ludicrous to pretend this would be a bad thing. To Israeli leftists, up is down and down is up. The P.A. is one of Israel's most dangerous enemies. It does not help Israel in any way, shape or form.
48. Read the San Remo Treaty carefully! NOT ONLY the territory w
Martin ,   New York, NY   (11.04.11)
ALL of Palestine was to be the Jewish National Home, that is the current "Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan" was awarded to the Jews in 1920, not only the territory west of the Jordan (which Colonial Secretary Winston Churchill unilaterally separated from Transjordan in 1922).
49. #38 American Observer
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.04.11)
You made possible valid suggestion, first set an example, return Texas, California, And all the other property you took from Mexico and the rest of the Country to the Indians, who you killed to get it There is NO Two State Solution, Palestinian's already have a State, its name is Jordan, which was carved out of the Mandate for Palestine, by the British, for their own self interests, it consists of 77% of the Mandate Jews got the short end of the stick, a measly 23%, which the Arabs now want a part of Your problem is that you’re an “Observer”, a kibitzer, not a participant It this were a car, you would be in back, in the Mother-In-Law seat Be generous with what belongs to you, not what's mine
50. This is an excellent qarticle.
Reuven   (11.04.11)
51. #45 Michael, lines were drawn
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (11.04.11)
Whatever makes you think that they would abide by any borders, they haven't in the past, ignoring the Borders set by the UN Partition Plan Both the PLO Charter & Hamas Covenant call for the destruction of Israel Arafat promised in writing at Oslo, to remove that clause from the PLO Charter, it is still there to this very day Hamas has said flat out that it won't negotiate and has recently stated that Jews outside of Israel are also to be targets I think you have the visions of the Man of La Mancha
52. to Mr #10 in Hong Kong
US Navy Officer ,   Ship on the High Sea   (11.04.11)
>>> How would any Palestinian accept anything less? we'll let them debate about it from their new homes in East Amman BE careful, you might just end up in the same situation as the Coptic Arab Christians
53. to Mr Mclean Virginia
US Navy Officer ,   Ship on the High Sea   (11.04.11)
what are you threatening, that Israelis won't be free to visit Oakland California get attacked by the wilding baboons? Sic Semper Tyrannis: you merely talk it, Israelis walk it.
54. # 42
Birdi ,   Israel   (11.04.11)
""Ghandi'' Ze'evi was not murdered in the US. He was murdered by an arab in Jerusalem, Israel.
55. Reply to #38 christina palestinia
The author   (11.04.11)
There has never been a sovereign country, state or nation called Palestine. The 1917 Balfour Declaration designated 43,000 sq. miles as a homeland for the Jews. This area included 100% of todays Jordan. Yet it was given away to form Transjordan. The result of UN res. 181 in '47 was the Jews received 12% of the land originally promised them. The Arabs refused to accept even this. Today Abbas continues to reject accepting Israel as a Jewish state. These are all facts, not "inaccurate statements on Ynet."
56. To number 38 Cristina Learn your facts better you are only
ari ,   Romania Israel   (11.04.11)
stating half thruths. Your father had a Palestinian Passport an so did 600.000 Jews living at the time until 1948. So to who belongs Palestine to the 600.000 Jews or to the 600.000 thousand arabs who left, thinking thearab armies will throw the Jews to the sea? The res of thye so called Palestine was anexed by Jordan in 1948. Which weas already 70% of the Original territory of the Palestine Mandate. And after 1948 thos arabs that were anexed by Jordan became Jordanians, later Hussein revoked some of those passports after the 6 day war
57. One State Solution
Moshe ,   Petach Tikvah   (11.04.11)
Let Abu Mazen talk. It won't matter. In the end, we will have one state that will stretch from the Euphrates and the Nile.
58. To: No. 45
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (11.04.11)
Oh, yes, because drawing lines on a map worked SO well in Africa .... You're a dunce. Wars, hostility, terrorism -- don't you think the ersatz "Palestinians" should be made to pay a price? How about the three rejected offers of a two-state solution? Why should a fourth offer be forthcoming? When has enough become far too much for anyone to stand? Don't you believe that international statute and convention count for anything, and that those statutes and conventions should apply equally to all sovereign states? Don't you understand that to do otherwise would result in complete anarchy throughout the world?
59. #51, Peace and security means great powers will guarantee it
Michael ,   California, USA   (11.04.11)
Please read what I wrote. It is not a mere suggestion to draw lines, but to have peace with security. Securing the imposed peace will require an involvement of troops from UN or the powers, like with the Sinai "observers" for the past 30+ years. You have the visions of Sancho Pancho. He rode a nice donkey.
60. It's all going down!
John Prophet   (11.05.11)
Abbas you blew it, no one buys your tired schtick any more. Hamas, Hezbollah, Syria and the Mullahs of Iran. It's all going down, your days are very small now. The strong horse will now make its play and you'll all be neutralized.
