Neither. Per International Law, the area is "Disputed Territory". Not being a country does not make it part of Israel. They have said many times they do not want to be part of Israel. At one time it was annexed by Jordan. The people who live there are not Israelis and Israel has the same right as any other country to restrict the entry of non citizens. However, Arabs living in Israel DO have the right to vote. They are represented in the knesset and in the courts, including on the Supreme Court.

So you're saying that Jerusalem is a foreign country to the Palestinians. You are also saying it is a place sacred to you but not to them. Oppresssors always have an excuse or two.

All arabs are not evil. But you also have to understand the Jewish Israelis living among them. They have endured suicide bombings, terrorism, rockets, bombs, shootings...murder; all from arabs. As well as listening to threats from arab leaders while many arabs in Israel support a "Palestine" (although they don't want to live there). And there are Israeli arabs who have been terrorists. Live in Israel (or any other place with the same situation) and you’ll better understand.

Jerusalem is sacred to Moslems, although one wonders why. It is never mentioned in the Quran. That this is the 'far off place' from where Muhammad ascended to heaven is conjecture at best. And it comes after Mecca and Medina. For Jews, Jerusalem is the First and Only. And the arabs are reaping what they have sown in more than 63 years. These are not excuses.
