True the Jewish fighters were not angels and some arabs were expelled by them but the fact is that most arabs left without ever seeing a Jewish fighter. Some left on the advice of the invading arab armies thinking they were going to be coming home in a couple of weeks after the Jews were all dead and then they could share in the spoils of war. Others left out of free choice again planning to come back when the war was over as was the custom at the time in small arab communities. The problem is things didn't go to plan and the arabs lost the war they started after they refused partition. If your going to be HONEST with yourself Salma do you really think if the roles had been reversed and the arabs won the war they would have welcomed the Jews back with open arms? The arabs & Jews in Palestine had been fighting each other for a long tiime and the arabs had even been trying to keep Jews out of Palestine through pressure on the British. My advice: Take to the time to research in detail and see that both sides have committed rights and wrongs, while some things were simply out of their hands and some issues have escalated to such complex points that the current generation now faces huge challenges and obstacles.
