Chris If you read the bible, God says He would bring back His people, the Jews back to their home land, never to be removed. God will protect Israel no matter what they do. If God is for you, who can be against you !

You & Israel walk a tightrope. Move stupid & solo, and you & your state hit the rocks below. There is no margin for error and miscalculation. Again, use your head.

Cameron, the Jewish people have walked a tightrope for a very long time, thanks exclusively to the non-Jewish people. We're used to your pious exclamations urging us to "wait" and we have seen the whole lot of good it does -- which is to say none at all. We are responsible for our own survival. No one has ever come to our rescue, and we are not about to entrust anyone other than ourselves with that. We will do what it takes to look after ourselves. The commander-in-chief of the big dog is an ass who also happens to have a very anti-Israel agenda. We're supposed to entrust our safety and security -- and even our existence -- to that? Use your head.

Are you truly prepared to risk disaster on a spooked, shaky throw of the dice?

Thank you, my dad's a lawyer so I pick some stuff up, but he still supports the president so that is a minor bone of contention. Cameron, I don't mean to be rude, but what exactly is your source for all this information or your set of qualifications for determining how militarily ready Israel is? I would think only higher ups in the IDF would have a good idea of that.

It's called experience, dear, lots of it. Jews have always lived on the edge of a knife. We've been deported en masse, murdered en masse and generally bullied and threatened for a very long time. Israel changed all that, and we have risen to the occasion. How do you spook people who have a very good understanding of Auschwitz and Dachau, and hundreds of other death camps? Basically, you cannot. We will do what it takes to preserve Israel, and we will succeed, because there exists no other people with as good a knowledge of our history, and as good a certain knowledge of our likely fate. Contemplate the countless contributions that Jews have made to civilization and to the betterment of mankind. These facts notwithstanding, you know what has happened to the Jewish people -- everywhere -- over the millennia. Having to live in THAT kind of a world -- which hasn't changed much, by the way -- a little risk taking is not a problem.

Robert ,   Australia   (12.09.11)
Paranoia coupled with a desire to be the only country in the middle east with the capacity to destroy the world, of course..
69. #68 Robert- Inept attempt, still no cigar
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (12.09.11)
Paranoia, my foot, after having been attacked by our enemies repeatedly for the past 63 years, pre-caution is the watchwordIsrael hasn't threatened to destroy the world, although Iran has repeatedly stated that she intended do destroy Israel, as has Hamas & Fatah, it's clearly stated in their respective Charters & Covenant Look at the M.E. in a constant state of flux, unstable Arab Government’s (you would fit in quite well) Egypt in turmoil, Syria in the midst of a Revolution, who knows who will be in control of Libya, Libya certainly doesn't Go play with your toys, you're living in a fantasy world when it comes to the Middle East BTW- You still haven’t said what you have done to improve the state of the Aborigines; last "info" (LOL) you gave was a batch of outright lies, which I easily refuted with one post High time for you to stop the pretense, you’re no more in Australia than I am

Of course you are wrong. Read Sarah's posts #32, #54, #63, #67. But you know all that. You still keep your eyes and ears tightly closed, living in your dream world. Don’t face the facts; you will be sorely disappointed.

Yes, yes, you've hummed the persecution mantra, but the operational obstacles are just too formidable to overcome without the US jumping in, if we decide to go down that path.
