1. First thing to do: IGNORE whatever the Pals or Leftys say
Scott ,   Australia   (12.09.11)
There's a lot more of this coming their way. Thoroughly and completely deserved. Go IAF.
2. why were mostly women and children hurt?
observer ,   Egypt   (12.09.11)
because it was targeted killing.
3. Lesson learnt - not likely.
David Holmes ,   Cairns, Australia   (12.09.11)
If it were in fact true that a number of women and children were killed in this retaliatory attack, then just maybe, Hamas and those firing rockets with their consent, would call it a day and say it isn't worth the loss of human life. Unfortunately these deaths won't stop future rocket attacks. Martyrdom and the promise of 72 virgins means there is an endless supply of those willing to die - irrespective of civilian deaths. FOOLS!
4. Hamas is Responsible for Consequence
Dallas ,   Canada   (12.09.11)
If there is any sense of decency and justice left in the world, it should be clear that Hamas is 100% to blame for the consequences of their obsession with destroying their neighbor Israel. The disproportionate patience of Israel is the only reason that Gaza has not been flattened. How many years of rockets is Israel to tolerate? The appropriate response, now that Rafah is open, would be to give Gazans 24 to 48 hours notice, then do the right thing.
5. Bring on Cast Lead 2
Kyle Broflovski ,   South Park, USA   (12.09.11)
6. Training camp
John ,   Herzliya, Israel   (12.09.11)
What can you expect if you build terrorists training camps in the middle of the village? Well, don't worry, their good friends in press all over the world will use the opportunity. Again.
7. There were also shock victims
observer ,   Egypt   (12.09.11)
It is high time that Gaza residents start raising their shock threshold to get along with one tone bombs. On the other hand, Human Rights Organizations have to build bomb shelters for Gazans as those are the only parties that can bring cement and construction materials inside Gaza. It is no fault of Israel to use one tone bomb or higher in heavily populated areas.
8. Six month old child?
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.09.11)
Well, if the child dies, he or she will still have had three more months of life than Hadas Fogel (z"l). The overarching question -- why is a terrorist training facility placed in the midst of a residential neighborhood? Says something about Hamas, though, doesn't it? Nothing like having convenient human shields, eh? Until it gets up and bites you. Assuming Hamas cares to begin with, which it does not.
9. At least 7 high level terrorists damaged
mick ,   USA   (12.09.11)
The subtle language suggests extreme damage to the terrorists. Excellent strike, do more of them!
10. Idiot
David Holmes ,   Cairns, Australia   (12.09.11)
You are an absolute idiot if you believe that civilized people would deliberately target civilians - especially women and children. They are not like Muslim fundamentalists who strap on a bomb and walk among the markets where women and children are then detonate themselves. Wake up and start thinking rationally and don't listen to your Imams and fellow anti-Zionist friends filled with unjustified hatred.
11. ansewer to Sarah B #8
observer ,   Egypt   (12.09.11)
because the terrorists excelled higher than Israel by discovering the way of military training INSIDE BUILDINGS.
12. why Gaza City?
observer ,   Egypt   (12.09.11)
Knowing that Gaza City is faraway from the Israel-Egypt border, it is obvious that there have been major developments in Israel intention detector reading the minds of plotting terrorists long before the terror act. More Time Window.
13. Time for a clean up operation
David Holmes ,   Cairns, Australia   (12.09.11)
If your septic tank is overflowing and smells then it is time to empty it. It is time to go into Gaza and clean this fetid hole out once and for all. What a putrid cesspool of hate filled people.
14. No, the children didn't deserve to be bombed.
Steven A. ,   Bay Area, USA   (12.09.11)
15. To: No. 2
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.09.11)
No, because the "brave" Hamas terrorists hide behind women and children. The depravity is in the fact that Hamas placed a terrorist training center in the midst of a civilian neighborhood -- which I assure you was a very deliberate act.
16. children
colin   (12.09.11)
This time the hamas talks of seven children !!!Next time how many will be published by the sick lieing untruthful false press..??? In a war zone the enemy usealy removes women and children Hamas brings in more.
17. think before u judge
observer unit 7 ,   mars   (12.09.11)
The strike was to take out the training camp...but who wouldve known there be kids and moms, well they mightve been used as human shields. The gazans are very careless people when it comes to family. They are responsible for allowing such civilians in a militia zone
18. pal civilians ...the cost of war
moshe ,   Tivon, Israel   (12.09.11)
A military targets, rocket launching sites, etc inside Gaza are often close to civilian homes given the confined space. Whether hamas purposely uses such close quarters for "protection" or for propaganda is irrelevant. hamas provocations will be answered by Israel at these sites. Hopefully, the hamas gangsters will be hit without civilian casualties. Else...pal civilians, women, and children are the cost of war. moshe
19. To: No. 11
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.09.11)
Well, in that case you lose the right to complain when the building gets blown up. Isn't that exactly what happened?
20. women and children
Iletzter ,   NY   (12.09.11)
well I would say it is less 7 terrorists. what are children doing close to a military training base ? If they are too close to fire -then they get burnt.
21. Pallywood again???
Keren ,   IL-BR   (12.09.11)
Look at this child:clean cloathes, clean face, just a little red paint in the nose and in the knee. Watch out for "palestinians" are trying to re-enact "picture pallywood"!
22. bombing Gaza City
Adam ,   London   (12.09.11)
It is well documented how Hamas and Hezbollah fabricate evidence of Women and Children are hurt in bombings to get World attention and put pressure on Israel. These pictures probably came straight out of an archive. Their Iranian masters teach them well how to lay the PR game. Even if Women and Kids are killed as far as Hamas is concerned this increases the hatred against Israel from the surrounding families and recruits more believers in their cause
23. Why not say 5000 children killed-World buys every muslim lie
who cares   (12.09.11)
''People believe what they want to believe'' - facts dont matter, especially when it comes to antisemitism. Antisemitism is a mental disease - irrational. But the price for antisemitism is very high - just ask Germany what price they paid and still pay today, although Germany learned from its mistakes a lot more than most others. ''He who curses Israel will be cursed!''
24. Hamas uses human shields
Scott Simon ,   Beer Sheva, Israel   (12.09.11)
Hamas deliberately puts weapons & training camps in civilian areas. There's no reason for them to have a training camp near Gaza City. I'm surprised they don't turn kindergartens into training camps. They are cowards who hide behind women & children.
25. poor Israel fooled by US
observer ,   Egypt   (12.09.11)
the USA sold, if ever, Israel weapons that are ineffective in causing the desired deterrence.
26. Same routine
Steve ,   USA   (12.09.11)
Rockets fired from residential areas in Gaza with the 'intention' of hitting civilians in Israel. Israel retaliates with pin point strategic targets in Gaza like a missile launch site, arms cache (as described in article) training base or a targeted assassination of known terrorists. All of these targets are in close proximity to populated areas. (Israel did not place these 'targets' there, Hamas did.) Israel gets direct hits on these targets (when hitting arms caches there are secondary explosions). Immediately Palestinian or Hamas spokespersons tell media outlets that women, children and old women were killed or wounded, Sometimes this may happen (advise - do not intentionally place these targets in close proximity to civilians - this is an Arab thing) . This is followed by a demand that there be 'international intervention and condemnation against Israel of which there always is including the usual line " All sides must show restraint (meaning Israel), though there were 'cries' to show 'restraint' when rockets reigned down on Israeli Civilian centers which start this in the first place. Faked or staged photo shoots are shown, many of these include normal everyday injuries that occur at any hospital or are just 'shams'. The world buys it though and Israel is condemned at the UN. Same thing every time. Tell me, why do the Pals keep placing these obvious targets in civilian areas if they know that they will be targeted. For propaganda purposes? if the world was sane, the Pals would be condemned for this. That never happens.
27. @1 that's right ignore Lefties stay stupid!
Israel ,   Israel   (12.09.11)
amazing what one can learn from Australians - most of whom if I recall correctly are descended from prisoners and spent years abusing the aboriginal population of Australia. In other words my friend you comment is supercilious!
28. Permissable Collateral Damage is discussed in Beresheet....
watcher ,   Israel   (12.09.11)
(the book of Genesis). Abraham argues with G-d about this very point when G-d says that he's going to blast Sodom and Gamorrah off the face of the earth. Collateral Damage is what evil doers need to deal with...part of life...even from Biblical Times!
29. Hamas said training camp hit.So why so many women+kids
Alan ,   SA   (12.09.11)
What is3 month baby doing in Hamas tough guy training camp.Do they start training at 3 months old?
30. Gaza
David ,   Melbourne australia   (12.09.11)
What can I say gaza is a basket case run by islamic lunatics, just shows that democracy doesn't work in an Islamic culture....Libya, Egypt Iran Yemen Syria , the whole of the middle east!!
