Obama is not lying. He is committed to Israel, not necessarily to the present Israeli government. The messianic looney right here sees no difference between government and state, but that is their problem. However, Obama is a weak President, possibly weaker than Carter. He does not dare to make difficult decisions when they are needed. As such, history will probably remember him as the President who could have stopped Iran acquiring nuclear weapons but did not have the guts to do it. That makes him a pretty awful President for the Jewish people.
