the iranians will display hostile actions to the american warships precipitating prompt American and Israeli military action against Iranian warships as well as their nuclear sites. the strategy worked in 'nam and with the lusitania

Yikes, Obama, caught in the horns. If he triggers a confrontation or sinks a few if Iran's tin cans, oil spikes and economy tanks. If he lets them get away with getting a bomb, he will leave a cowardly legacy never to be lived down. No win for him unless he sinks all their vessels. What will it be? Stay tuned.
5. Israel, you're obviously itching for a fight.......
Robert ,   Australia   (12.29.11)
.......if you were to attack one of the US vessels in the gulf I'm sure Iran would be blamed and your desire could be fulfilled. This is usually how the US starts wars.
6. I would suggest a leaven fast for all who will do so.
Rivkah   (12.29.11)
That is something that can be sustained for a long time like in the month of Nissan when it is required of HaShem's people. There are such great dangers for the world at this time with China's President telling his Navy on Tuesday, December 27 to get ready to go to battle (Jim Bakker Show on December 28 mentioned that). Pray for peace in Jerusalem so there will be peace in the world along with the leaven fast. Perhaps HaShem will be merciful and delay World War III which will see a third of the people in the world die. Solar flares are putting out satellites and will continue to be a hazard throughout 2012. If the GPS satellites are destroyed, the military weapon systems dependent on GPS will be blind in some ways. Pray for protection from solar flares, too. In the 1800's there was a solar flare that put out vast areas of telegraph lines, so solar flares can be a hazard to electrical systems on the Earth, too. See Mitch Battros' Earth Changes Media email news letter 12-29-2011 on that.
7. LIKELYHOOD OF CONFRONTATION.....#4
MAHMOOD ,   LONDON-UK   (12.29.11)
Is very slim as the Iranians have calculated the risk they have taken but have also made it clear that they are not going to be cowed down to accept USA's present policies.Difficult situation but should it come to war,the sufferings are going to be wide-spread and not confined to Iran only.

israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (12.29.11)
You don't realize what a failure Obama is, and how stupid he was for attacking Israel instead of taking care of American interests. Take it a few more steps: imagine that the situation gets out of hand so Obama orders his forces to make an all-out attack on Iran, killing thousands or tens of thousands of civilians. The Iranian people, Shi'ites and Jihadist Sunni rally behind Amadinejad. The junta flees Egypt, Hussein flees Jordan, Assad manage to regroup, Suez Canal closed to American shipping. Arab Spring reaches Saudi Arabia and Obama can either massacre the protesters or lose Saudi Arabia. Checkmate.

They have pretty much been doing what they want since 1983, well rely since the hostage crisis. 9/11, false intelligence on Iraq WMD to use US soldiers as human shields to prevent a strike, start a war in Mexico. Without any repercussions. All with out the bomb. But it is not Israeli policy otherwise Saddam would have had the bomb and Assad would have had the bomb, if neither were a threat then why act. It is very complex and far more dangerous than in 2005 when Qum was discovered, so this is not like Opera or Orchard. But you know 1000 missile silos in the Persian desert is a problem, I mean as they have threatened to close the Straits of Hormuz, why not. Now this is not an Israel problem but a global problem. It all depends on your take on the regime. As long as the US is dependent on middle east oil, and Iran seek the destruction of the US. So if I was you I would just work on funding that defense whitepaper of yours, why do you think the PLA and Russia back the Iranian bomb.
10. Iran is a schoolyard bully
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.29.11)
Bloody its nose, and it runs away, crying. Remember the Iran-Iraq war? It took Iran eight years to eke out an embarrassing draw with a vastly inferior Iraq. One million Iranians died in that war. The problem with tyrants generally is that eventually, they start to believe their own rhetoric. Iran is no match for Israel. Iran is no match for the United States. The power that both Israel and the United States can bring to bear upon Iran is formidable. Iran, after all, is a country where only thirty percent of homes have indoor plumbing. Perhaps forty percent of homes have electricity. Speaking of electricity, Iran continues to endure ever-increasing blackouts each and every day. Iran is a third-world sinkhole. It would be nothing without its petroleum. Iran needs to remember that the United States -- and Israel, for that matter -- can neutralize that rather quickly. The best way to neutralize a schoolyard bully is to punch him in the nose. Both Israel and the United States are quite capable of delivering that punch, and Iran will run away, crying -- like all bullies. The only real issue is -- does Iran wish to settle for a bloody nose, or would it prefer to be knocked unconscious and put into a coma from which it will NOT recover?
11. Nr 10. Well -
Arn. ,   Sweden.   (12.29.11)
If Iran is prepered to sacrifice Millions they will not back down but has to be put down. The best way to neutralize a schoolyard bully is to punch him in the nose. Both Israel and the United States are quite capable of delivering that punch, and Iran will run away, crying -- like all bullies. I dont think so - this is a matter of faith - not of punch The only real issue is -- does Iran wish to settle for a bloody nose, or would it prefer to be knocked unconscious and put into a coma from which it will NOT recover? Even if nocked uncoscious Iran will recover by the help of Gog and Magog. God bless thee Sarah !!!. Arn.Sweden.
12. To: No. 7
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.29.11)
Oh, I beg to differ. Israel and the United States are not playing, here. What do you think would happen following two well-placed nuclear strikes upon Iran? I'll tell you. For starters, Iran would instantly lose one-quarter of its population. Secondly, the nuclear fallout would be less than that which was released upon the world following the disasters at Chernobyl and the Fukushima reactor. So -- a nuclear option is VERY much a possibility. Yes, the suffering will be wide-spread but, blissfully, it will all be confined to Iran. Of course, do keep in mind that both Israel and the United States can release two additional nuclear weapons. Following which, of course, Iran enters the annals of history. The world of "once upon a time." You do realize that, don't you? If you don't -- well -- you're a fool. A complete imbecile, actually. But we already know that, don't we?
13. Sarah B
zionist forever   (12.29.11)
That is why Iran wants nukes. A bully that can dictate terms to the Gulf states on oil prices, how friendly they should be towards the US & Israel. Now they dream not only of being a schoolyard bully but a global bully that even the US will dare stand up to out of fear of what they will do to global oil supplies. Obama needs to stand up to the local bully or suffer the consequences. Its only a matter of time before Iran has not just nukes but a missile that has the range to hit mainland America. I wonder how history will remember the president that allowed Iran to target America?

Oh, yeah? Can you spell "Pearl Harbor?" Let me break this to you gently -- you are an idiot, Robert. A complete and totally uneducated moron. There! I am SO kind. Sometimes I amaze myself with my kindness towards even the most undeserving of imbeciles .
15. Sarah, night time in USA now?

America will not attack Iran to lead to disastrous economic crisis at this time for the world wide. israelis will never dare to attack Iran alone, give it a rest

17. The casus belli, US vs. Iran was just
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.29.11)
established by a federal district court in Manhatten, a few days ago, as it ruled Iran culpable for the 9/11 attacks...So again I just W O N D E R !?
18. Robert Iranian navy attacked the Brit navy, why not the US?

19. The real bully.
Brian ,   Chicago, U.S.   (12.29.11)
I know this will look bad on my part to say, however it needs to be said. the united states military is in a foreign land, yet we think we are the ones responsible for keeping peace. in order to do so we use ships that are 3 to 4 times the size of iran's navy largest ships. united states government is the aggressor, or the bully. regardless who is wrong or right, 1 must realize who is which.
20. aircraft carrier
gene ,   U.S.   (12.29.11)
Heavy posturing so they can make a closed door agreement and still look they won.
21. #5, we would not waste an aircraft carrier for such purposes
Henry from New York ,   USA   (12.29.11)
A destroyer or small support ship, maybe, but never an aircraft carrier. The fact is that all of Iran's neighbours didn't want her to get nukes and so it's not just for Israel, it's for the whole reason.
22. To: No. 15 (and No. 16)
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.29.11)
As the ersatz "Palestinians" have done in the past -- foolishly -- you completely fail to accurately assess Israel and its resolve. Look where your completely stupid folly has left you. Israel has the weapons, the ability and the determination. One would think that six failed wars would have taught you that much. Then again, stupid ersatz "Palestinians" are nothing new to us. Do you REALLY think that the world's economy matters much to us? We're in this for purposes of survival. Stupid you.

How is this disease called you are suffering from?
24. #12 - ? use A-Bomb??
David ,   Tel-Aviv   (12.29.11)
Have you no shame? never since WWII has anybody used atomic weapons, and for very good reasons .... the only time where this could possibly be justified is if you are directly and immediately threatened with annihilation, or if the opponent uses them first. No enlightened nation would resort to these weapons in the way you want them to ... how typical of you Sarah, such a bully, you have no decency, and you should be ashamed of yourself for even suggesting to "let's simply lob a nuke over and kill 100K human beings, and condemn hundred thousands more to unimaginable suffering and slow death" - shame on you!
25. YOU SEEM TO HAVE GOT OUT........#12

27. Arn # 11
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (12.29.11)
Iran may recover with the help of Gog and Magog but the next punch will come from God and none of them will recover from that. I hope God blesses you too Arn.
28. #19 - Goliath is not the definition of Bully
Oren ,   Canada   (12.29.11)
Iran maintains violent military proxies in foreign nations and spends her oil money to support international terrorism which focuses on killing civilians for political gain. This also involves exerting control over foreign nations through blood money and force of arms. The mullahs are bad and the US are the only ones willing to police them. As soon as the US moves out, many will slam them for being selfish and isolationist. Move beyond the moment and decide who you think should be policing the Middle East... The Americans or The Mullahs (or any other Arab/Muslim government for that matter).
29. #5 - Why you so mad?
Oren ,   Canada   (12.29.11)
30. #24 One of the inescapable realities of the coming conflict
Noodles ,   Coney Island   (12.29.11)
is that small bunker-busting nukes will have to be used on at least some of the Iranian underground nuke-sites. But, the way I understand it, there will be a minimum of radioactivity as a result of using these weapons, hence, the loss of life will be drastically reduced.
