31. To the Haredim: Congratulations !
Canadian lawyer ,   Toronto, Canada   (01.01.12)
You have managed to alienate just about every sane and civilized person on this planet with your disgusting, offensive and tasteless behaviour.
32. @#10 - I don't watch sports :^P
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.01.12)
BTW - I saw gay Haredim getting married in Jerusalem a few years ago. Deal with that reality, bigot!
33. to #6, and "stop the nonsense"
tom ,   toronto, canada   (01.01.12)
uh, excuse me, but are these people not hareidim? the pictures certainly LOOK like hareidim. and are they not wearing yellow stars? that isn't nonsense, but hillul hashem, and desecrating the memory of MY family who were murdered by the nazis. no, i would not compare the "persecution" of having to sit on a bus beside a woman to the mass murder of millions of jews. and the protest is also in "support" of shmuel weissfisch? at last report, weissfisch was found guilty of attacking a fellow jew, for selling electronics. what kind of support does a violent criminal need? or do these hareidim have a special torah that doesn't include the words: "dina di malkhutah dina"? i would suggest that YOU stop blindly supporting this hillul hashem, and think long and hard about how you can overcome YOUR sin'at hinam.

ariel ,   silver spring usa   (01.01.12)
I wonder how holocaust survivors think of this seeing their own people wearing the same clothing they wore while in "hell"
35. @ 23 & 12...you are so right. It's Jewish history,
(01.01.12)
you don't ever want to admit...Do you really think it was the Romans that created the Dispora? "If orthodox & secular Jews can't live together in a Jewish state then there is no place in the world for a Jewish state. " So true, and you are finally admitting the truth.. TATA
36. I can understand.....
Jennifer ,   Tel Aviv   (01.01.12)
I can understand the haradim's frustration, especially in this protest that was against all the 'media incitement', but why not pick something else to 'identify' with? Why not chose someone else to be the 'evil'? As much as they feel they are suffering right now, it goes without saying that this isn't a zillion-times close to the suffering of those who were in Auschwitz. How can they even begin to try to think of identifying themselves with Jewish suffering and the 6 million murdered during the Holocaust?
37. Free men cannot coexist with enslaving religious "gods"
Thinking Jew ,   Israel   (01.01.12)
38. if they feel they have the right to offend my murdered relat
ralph   (01.01.12)
relatives i have the right to say the wrong ones were murdered.
39. Slaver rabbis: no free speech of history/science fact/truth-
Thinking Jew ,   Israel   (01.01.12)
but "slut" is ok! Slaver rabbis dictate which shoe to tie first, which hand one must wipe with, and slaves must phone rabbi for permission for such basic things as allowing a dental hygienist to clean their teeth. Only freiers swallow the line that ANY Haredi has the latitude to make such a remark without wink-and-nod permission from their rabbi.
40. A lot of Orthodox are good people
Thinking Jew ,   Israel   (01.01.12)

problems: now they're BIG problems. The religious camp was allowed to blossom, as if their "truth" based on an Imaginary Friend was in some way superior to our secular world view. Now the beast is rearing it's head. The Imaginary "Palestinians" were deemed insignificant pestinence for many years: now we're willing to sacrifice our land to them, which of course is not enough. In both cases, only a "Total Victory" is a satisfactory outcome for these representatives of primitive, dark forces within the human soul. Solution is too painful to consider.
42. My despise
Sagi   (01.01.12)
for these people only grows in direct relation to their actions. As their behaviour becomes increasingly violent and obnoxious so does my negative attitude towards them soar on the graph.
43. Victory!
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (01.01.12)
This is exactly what the organizers of the anti-Haredi attacks wanted from the beginning. I imagine they will organize a celebratory barbecue next Shabbat, probably featuring spare ribs. The funniest thing is that the tiny group of Haredim who do behave inappropriately are the Leftist's allies in supporting Fatah.
44. Shimon , 10 . god's land ?
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.01.12)
It's the land of the Jewish people and we have it again after 6000 mostly SECULARS gave their blood for it . Where was this god when our parents and grandparents were murdered ? INEXISTING !!!!
45. Zionist forever , you're dreaming
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.01.12)
Do you think that those charidim will not try to impose their "lifestyle" on everyone ? that they will be satisfied with some segregated buses ? Why should we , the seculars , accept somethging from "people" who NEVER contributed to the State ? Who are anti zionists . Those extremists give a bad name to ALL the Charidim , who are not extremists , who do something for others , who live with : Ve'ahavta et re'echa kamocha . For them we can do something , but they have first to oppose with a LOUD voice the actions of those extremists .

assistance.
47. The TBers are proving the point of the rally: "vermin"swine"
(01.01.12)
Referring to a segment of one's fellow Jews, the Haredim, as "vermin" as "swine" (#21) and as "primitive dark forces" (basically DEMONIZING and dehumanizing them -- remind you of Nazi and Arab cartoons characterizing Jews as Hasidim with horns??)....#41 follows up with the recommendation that only "Total Victory is...satisfactory....Solution is too painful to consider" -- WHICH solution, "tom" -- a "FINAL" solution?!?!? I think the point of the rally has been made and the TBers here are the proof. When you dehumanize and generalize and stereotype an entire group -- especially in systematic sweeping media flooding of it -- you create a popular mindset, an accepted wholesale discriminatory mindset.
48. #47Cool it, 01! Stereotyping is one of many tools humans&

animals use for survival. It helps us recognize danger when certain patterns emerge. One can calmly say, that all Followers of the Imaginary Friend are exhibiting same traits, that make them a danger to all free societies. Democracy it seems, has a suicide button built in: we're bound by the Democratic Creed to give equal rights&voice to almost any lunatic and his sister. The "Solution" I was thinking of has nothing to do with your sanctimonius reference to the German one. That dumb I'm not. The price/solution that's painful could be temporary suspension of certain rights&laws of a free, democratic society for the benefit of Survival of the Species........ The "species" being us, the normative members of society
49. Ora , i know a good doctor for you !
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (01.01.12)
he will assist you very well ! His name ? Charles , from Petach Tikva ! LOL . Have a fine 2012 ! Why not present good wishes more than one time ?
50. #41/48 You & Der Fuehrer DO share similar ideologies then.
(01.01.12)
Perhaps you have certain specific qualifications for "normative" that fit in with the Aryan prototype ("survival of the species"?!?)? -- or are your specifications for "normative" restricted to mean someone who is exactly like...YOU? Also a big fan of phrenology? Let's clarify: by "Imaginary Friend" I presume you refer to G-d. And you posit that "All followers...(are) a danger to all free societies". I am Haredi. My family is Haredi. You would have our democratic rights "suspended" (and any other believers of G-d whichever form that may take - Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, etc)? (I do believe the Jews in Germany were also initially told their liberties were only being "temporarily suspended"). In what way? You'd have us perhaps rounded up to keep an eye on us "dangers" to your "normative" secular society? Hm. Interesting how liberal secular individuals (not to stereotype, mind you) are all for freedom of thought, etc unless that thought includes a belief in G-d or anything contradicting the Holy Writ of Liberalism. G-d help us all if the governing of this wonderful Democratic State were left up to you and the "normative" like yourself. I'll bet you were surprised to find that you're a fascist when you scratched the surface.

The Wifely Person ,   Minnesota, USA   (01.01.12)
How about a three state solution? See how long they last without the rest of Israel catering to their needs.
52. 49 Try2 Thanks Dr.Charles
ORA ,   JERUSALEM   (01.02.12)
good wishes are always welcome. Every time i think about you,i wish you only good things. Enjoy life every minute of every day,Charles .
