1. HAREDIM ZELOTS
Max Rogozinski ,   Woodbridge, USA   (01.04.12)
We complain on what they teach children in Saudi Arabia but we don’t have a problem allowing the ultra-orthodox of Israel to do the same. Does Israel want to digress to the Stone Age, what next to have all women to fully cover themselves. Israeli women serve their nation in battle and should be respected. Israel, don't allow it.
2. light upon the nations
real vision ,   usa   (01.04.12)
Jews are suppose to be a light upon all nations. What the heredi are doing is a disgrace to humankind and to GOD. Nowhere in Judaism or the Torah does it say to segregate the genders
3. Tanya you are a hero be strong
Haim ,   TA   (01.04.12)
Unfortuently violence and threats is the only language the ultra orthdox , right wing understand. No man has the right to tell a women where she can and cannot sit on a public transport bus.
4. You don't understand at all
Robert ,   NY USA   (01.04.12)
It's not exclusion, unless you think children are excluded, too. Should there be child labor? If a ship sinks, the men go in the life boats first? Is it more common for women to rape men? How do you know who's way is right? Stay off their buses. Go better ride on Hamas buses so they like Jews and stop shooting rockets.
5. Why not phone the police - looking for more publicity
rebecca ,   Modiin   (01.04.12)
6. have Egged buses been transformed by into public toilets?
Helena ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (01.04.12)
This haredi jerk Shlomo Fuchs claims that "A woman should not stand amidst men, just like no woman would go into a men's bathroom. So I called her a slut." Apparently he believes that Egged buses are nothing less than public toilets. In this case nobody else but Haredim have transformed buses into toilets. Too bad!
7. if women can only get on the bus by way
meghan ,   israel   (01.04.12)
of the back doors, then cannot go forward towards the driver for fear of insults......WHO PAYS HER FARE?? before anyone says they pass the money via other passengers, that will mean some contact with the NO No crowd! SO please can anyone explain how women pay the driver?
8. Compassion
Vivi ,   Jerusalem   (01.04.12)
As an orthodox Jew, I am outraged by the Haredi community. 90% of us disagree with what is going on. But few have spoken out against it. What these men are doing, not only give Hashem and the rest our community a bad name, but they make it dangerous for our children. This kind of behavior is apprehensible. Where is the compassion?
9. A Troubblemaker !!!.

11. #2 real vision - Get your eyes checked
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (01.04.12)
It's rather easy, all you have to do is simply Google "Judaism & Separation of Sexes" You're shooting from the hip, check your foot, you just shot yourself there
12. ))))))))))))))))))))
(01.04.12)
There are plenty of Zelots on both sides. Mrs. Rosenblit is just another one)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))). To turn a simple stupidity of some religious idiot into the National Security Matter. Made a fly out of an elephant)))) People talk Seriously about Civil War. Great Mrs. Rosenblit!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is JOKE!!! Blissful stupidity!
13. #4
Yaara ,   Israel   (01.04.12)
They are not their buses. They are public buses ment for everyone. And if they do not like that women stand among them so they should choose different way of transport.
14. #11 #2
Shimon   (01.04.12)
Exactly. What is it with most of these tailbacks attacking the Haredi Jews coming from people in US. I bet most of the talk backs from the US are Americans tied with the Christians United organization which in of itself is a heretical organization, yet they accuse the Haredim community of Heresy. What a disgraceful comment by #2 number 1 get a Israeli citizenship, number 2 live in Israel. 3), get your facts straight.
15. 2 #9 a trouble maker who work for israel news.petetick

Rogo ,   Woodbidge, USA   (01.04.12)
Its only a joke when it happens to others. What would you say if it happened to your daughter. Maybe the joke would not be that funny, would it
17. peace bro
elchan   (01.04.12)
as the media steps up its efforts to create unprecedented discord between our brethren in the land of Yisroel, let all those of sound mind and soul step up efforts for unprecedented efforts to love our fellow and judge the other with a good eye -- as we would want others to judge us.
18. Headline
Binyamin ,   Orlando FL   (01.04.12)
It should read Inciter Against Haredi.
19. SOLUTION
Bernard ,   Reseda CA   (01.04.12)
Let the Haredim sit in the back of the bus and put a box at the entrance at the back door so they can pay, We trust them, don't we?
20. to #8
Helena ,   Stockholm, Sweden   (01.04.12)
Why nobody in the Haredi community speaks against those Haredi jerks? As long as they refuse to speak against them I consider the WHOLE HAREDI COMMUNITY being insane jerks. As we all know SILENCE IS COMPLIANCE... So go and prove me wrong, I will be thrilled...
21. peace bro
elchan   (01.04.12)
beware the media -- it is trying to swirl the dirt and dust and bring disunity to our brethren -- don't let it happen. Don't let the media lead us to trouble we will regret big time. Turn on the media -- it is our biggest enemy.
22. #3 - how self-righteous of you
William ,   Israel   (01.04.12)
Funny how you try to place the whole right-wing in her argument about ultra-orthodox extremism. You are a vocal anti-haradi poster here and you are a vocal pro-liberal "above all else" poster. Your views are every bit as exclusionary and discriminatory as those you claim to be against. The Left has been implicated in libel, sedition, violence, and other criminal acts but hide behind "democracy" and "equality" to justify their acts which are just as unlawful as what these haradi are doing. The only part of your post which made any sense in the last sentence.
23. #4 - just plain stupid
William ,   Israel   (01.04.12)
As an Israeli citizen, regardless of gender, she is permitted to be any place that a man can be. That's the society we live in, and the society that is funding public transport of which exclusionary haradi take advantage of. You won't find the same fully-public funded system in NY, I can assure you. Your one question really provides the context in which this upset is taking place..."Is it more common for women to rape men?" So, somehow by seeing a woman a man is more drawn to take advantage of her. So to protect HER, she must be forced into a hidden corner so the would-be perpetrator will not be tempted. Isn't that really a damning statement about the male haradim themselves who cannot control their own urges and thus are no where near Hashem? The Talmud points out that a person's time here on Earth is to gain control of themselves and to move towards Hashem, rather the haradim have just taken temptation away from their eyes but not their hearts.
24. Haredi men who are disturbed by their sensations
usa   (01.04.12)
should stay off public transportation if they cannot control their impulses, not the other way around!
25. ...because the thought of standing "amidst the Haredi men"
LOL ,   usa   (01.04.12)
is such a turn-on for most women LOL!!
26. Just looking for attention..
Dr R ,   Jhb, South Africa   (01.04.12)
This woman has sought to provoke a delicate situation and could cause massive conflict amidst people in our land.. she should be thrown out of Israel, even if she had a point, she could have walked away and none of this shit would have blown up.. An attention seeking self centred prickeress to say the least... Let's all forget about her and move on... Israel does not need any conflict amidst it's people. Whether the same or different, we have always respected each others freedom to choose how we want to live our lives and that makes us the greatest democracy in the middle east and whole region.. Forget about ONE idiot...be it the provoceuter or some religious person whom may have acted incorrectly out of anger...impulse or small mindedness... whatever the case just walk away...come on guys we are so much bigger than this.. insults fly everyday all over the world and people turn their heads and walk away..
27. #14
Alex ,   USA   (01.05.12)
No 2 said it right. Why don't you get your facts right Shimon ? You know what is disgraceful ? The way uneducated bigots behave against women, and against everybody who refuses to live by their repulsive standards!
28. #26 - She isn't the source of conflict
William ,   Israel   (01.05.12)
She was the catalyst that brought a long-time conflict to the attention of many. Conflict has existed between seculars and haradim for a very, very long time. To reject this woman and the response to her is to put a band-aid on a very real problem. Eventually, it will boil over, why wait for that explosive point?
29. You Go Girl!
Jeanette ,   Arlington Texas, US   (01.05.12)
I can't believe this is happening in the 21st century! Tanya, you are my hero!! Don't be afraid, the sisterhood is powerful.
30. and to think
Paul ,   Australia   (01.05.12)
that Jews the world over are constantly haranguing us all about the dangers posed by Islamic zealots, and clamoring for everyone(else) to go to war for Israel's benefit. Your own fundamentalcases seem to be at least as bad as anything the Islamic nations can throw up. Why should you be so deserving of the high moral ground you pretend to occupy when these complete fools hold so much sway in your society ?
