This is yet another article written about the persecution of Christians & the threat of their "instinction" in the Middle East that I have read. This article was kind of a wake-up call for me in that I did not realize at all that there were Arab Christians who were anti-semitic. I'm American. I disagree with any Christian who is anti-semitic because of the love God has for his chosen people. If they hate, it is because they have been brainwashed rather than washed by the Spirit of truth. I suggest you read news reports instead of relying on what you want to believe. Christians are leaving because of the justifiable fear of Islam. They are being attacked while they pray, during funerals of people killed by Muslims and during demonstrations against the attacks and killings. Even the Christian churches recognize this. If they can leave for Europe or the US, they do so. If they can't, they go to Israel, the only place in the ME they can practice their religion without fear. In Israel they find themselves among other Christians of many different sects (including Copts, Armenians, Ethiopians, etc.), Jews, Moslems, Druse, Bahai, etc.

Who was it that massacred Maronite Christians in South Lebanon until Israel saved the Lebanese Christians from extinction? Hmm? Wasn't it Moslems? Ersatz "Palestinian" ones? Fundamental Christians, those that believe that Jesus is the only way, are the ones that are slaughtered. It is really too bad that there is a common misconception (read lie/deception) that Catholicism is Christianity. That's what you get for Modern popular belief/media. This fact stands out very clearly in Fox's book of martyrs where the Catholic church executed anyone preaching Jesus's priesthood instead of Catholic priesthood. This has been going on since the Mohammedans wiped out most of Coptic Christianity in the 1st jihad. They're just finishing up and with Western help inadvertently. Many good books out there on this and other subjects by Walid Shoebat, Joel Richarson, Ellis Skolfied and others.

Israel never imposed a civil war in Lebanon. That was a sectarian war which we had nothing to do with. Israel wouldn't have even looked at Lebanon if the PLO didn't arrive there and begin launching terrorists attacks on us. It was Arafat who carved out his own autonomous region for the PLO, abusing the Lebanese people while he was at it. Ever wonder why "Palestinians" are treated like second-class bastard children in Lebanon? Perhaps you need to go further back in history where Christians were persecuted by Muslims for 1000 years, not just in the past 30 years. Many Jews and Christians were forcibly converted in the 7th-10th centuries from the invading Muslim hordes of the Peninsula. Never forget that.

Under Islam, people are protected but not as equal citizens. Let's look at every place where "Islam reigns supreme": Somalia, Nigeria, Sudan, Lebanon, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Libya, Algeria, Chechnya, Iran, and the list goes on... and how are minorities fairing their? Not well amid the massive violence perpetrated in the name of Allah. So your statement really means - only if Islam is fully accepted, allowed to reign fully even in place of other cultures and religions, and non-Muslims pay both a tax and accept Islamic dictates, will there be peace. Well sure - every despotic ideology has that claim. However, in Israel, where Islam does NOT reign, is there freedom and equality for all religions, is there a place for B'hais to exist freely without persecution, is there true justice and a means to achieve it via a mature court system.
