1. Livni might be what Bibi needs to take on Labor
zionist forever   (03.23.12)
As much as I can't stand Livni she may be the secret to stopping Labor getting a large majority. Kadima won the most seats at the last election because Livni went after the woman's vote and she was successful and at the next election she can try the same trick again whilst Shaul Mofaz cannot. Labor though are now led by a woman and she will attract the Livni supporters if Mofaz wins the primaries. If Livni stays in charge of Kadima the woman's vote will be a little more divided harming both Kadima and Labor. So whilst at a political level although he is no shining example of success Mofaz is still more experienced than and more right wing than Livni. Tactically though its Livni thats needed to counter Shelly Y.
2. @#1 Nothing wrong with two women leaders
Avramele   (03.23.12)
It's gratifying to see that you realize that intelligent women will never vote for the right. However what you fail to see is that if the polls are correct a swing of 4 or 5 seats will give the center and left a blocking majority. Having two opposition parties led by woman might create a positive dynamic in that direction. Bibi's worst nightmare particularly as polls show if Obama wins in America.
3. forget bibi
oferdesade ,   israel   (03.23.12)
their main aim now is to beat lapid (and they said hell could never freeze... hrumph!
4. Both Kadima and Labor are ...
Jules   (03.23.12)
... extremely dangerous to Israel, because they have almost killed the country by the fake "peace process".
5. Just a durn minute there, Cowpoke
Gideon Reader   (03.23.12)
I happen to know that the Zipperette; the Charwoman of Kadima, is one of the most important 3,768,912,000 women in the entire Gamma quadrant. to put it in StarTrekian terms, and furthermore she has an important agenda that she is keeping secret because of the current PM and a bunch of (choke) 'settlers", who would steal it and misuse it for their own ill gotton gains, or something. And moreover, she NEVER met Ariel Sharon, NO,...make that EVER heard of him, or Disengagement, whatever that is.
6. Ha! Who cares? The polls are wrong anyway.
Israeli 2   (03.23.12)
At the end, Right wins with 99 mandates, Left keeps on sliding.
7. Yisrael Beitenu will win 12 ?
michael redbourn ,   arad Israel   (03.23.12)
Try adding 50% to that. Be interesting to know what the questions were. Livni is pretty much seen by everyone except disco goers as a complete failure. Three chances at forming a coalition and no success.
8. The one good thing Livni ever did for Israel...
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.24.12)
In Livni's entire political career, she did only one good thing for Israel. She took down Kadima. Hopefully, two elections from now, Kadima will go the way of Shinnui.
9. Perhaps Livni could find work dancing with Madonna tour.
Chaim ,   Israel   (03.24.12)
During the last election campaign, Livni proved she loves to dance. Moreover, she met with and seemed to get along with Madonna. Madonna is planning to come to Israel again on tour. Perhaps Livni could find work dancing with the Madonna tour. She'd have to be better at dancing than at political leadership. She couldn't possibly be worse.

Right now with all the arab spring instability the left are even more dangerous than ever because we will have another PEACE, PEACE, PEACE campaign. Give these new regimes land or anything else they want now out of goodwill so they know we want peace even if they have not earned our trust through actions. We also are going to have the left slashing the military budget year in year out to campaign social justice even though the region is more unstable than it has been in decades with dictators we knew and could predict being toppled and replaced by islamists. Right now the ones to really worry about are Shelly Y who is a real hardline socialist and has never been a senior government minister and Yair Lapid who has no experience of life outside journalism, has no policies of his own other than being anti religion. You don't have to like people like Bibi & they have plenty of faults but we don't need rookies running the country especially not left wing rookies.
11. Bibi has the last laugh
Liron   (03.26.12)
29 mandates and the only option to get in government. He can pick religious or secularists and play them against each other. Livni is a washed up old rag that should go away. The last time we had a woman prime minister, we almost lost the country. No need to risk that again. Bibi will be prime minister for the next decade at this rate.
