91. Relativism
Opinion   (04.15.12)
Unfortunately everything is supposed to be relatively to the place! Protesters fight for the rights of people like in Syria and Iran, so we compare us to them: we are not the enemies here! Protesters don't want to see the difference, so we point it out. There's no ABSOLUTE democracy and even had it been so, it still would judge activities according to the place: there's no similar rights for terrorists and no terrorists, for dictatorships and democracies and so on. Judgement is always "relative".
92. #55 Yes Turkey is an oppressive third world country
Menachem ,   Israel   (04.15.12)
93. Beating up a Dane,
Ameridane ,   Aarhus, Denmark   (04.15.12)
I don't have much sympathy for the Dane. The road was closed and that is that. In Denmark when there is a road closure, say because of a bomb scare, you obey the police and stop. But I do have a couple of comments. 1- Why didn't the office use a headgear like a beret, it might have given him a bit more of authority, being honest, the officer looks like a thug, unshaven and crumpled uniform. And 2, why did he use Hebrew instead of English, or is it because his knowledge of English is so poo?r. What a poor image of the army of Israel.
94. If it was Syria. The provocative activist would be dead
Adi ,   Sydney   (04.15.12)
If it was Syria. The provocative activist would be dead
95. @45, exactly, the situaton was tensioned
Lou ,   Bucharest   (04.15.12)
and the "activists" are retarted teen-agers looking for trouble with parents figure (provoking it's their happiness).
96. #82: That makes it ok?
Canadian Dude ,   Canada   (04.16.12)
If I don't keep my mouth shut, what would you like to do, smack it? Do you see me justifying police brutality in Canada? Look at the insane posts here, they're saying a rifle to the face is ok because someone was looking for trouble, and it would be even worse in Iran or Syria. Do Israelis actually want to be treated like Iran and Syria, then? I didn't say the protesters were in the right, but there are less violent tools like handcuffs and pepper spray if someone has to be subdued. This kind of violence can't be tolerated- far more sickening than the officer's actions are the justifications being thrown around here by all the wannabe testosterone junkies. I'm on your side, I'm the guy trying to keep people like you from getting in drunken brawls.
97. I am sure that there was more to this
Golani ,   Vineland, USA   (04.16.12)
I am sure that there was more to this story. Most likely what may not have been shown in the video is the first strike by the protestor. What the IDF should have done was handcuffed him and put him back on the bike to continue his ride on Route 90.
98. why don't these "activists" go to syria? bc they're enemies.
rick ,   walnut creek   (04.15.12)
they do not care about human rights. they don't go to syria, to iran, to russia, to china, to tibet, to cuba, to venezuela, to north korea, to turkey, to iraq, etc. they come to Israel because they are enemies of Israel. they are enemies and they should expect to be treated as enemies.
99. # 66
Birdi ,   Israel & proud of it   (04.15.12)
Thanks Kai, I'm sending you a bunch of flowers.
100. good show. let them go to Syria
eddie ,   Uk   (04.15.12)
Yes, let these activiosts go to Syria and they can protests brutality of Assad regime there. They will be treated like VIPs.
101. #33 Israel is fed up with hypocrites like you
Menachem   (04.15.12)
applying double standards against Israel. Israel is constantly accused of applying disproportionate use of force despite the fact that IDF is far more more moral and less trigger-happy than the US Police and armed forces. This soldier will be punished If he is found guilty but this is nothing compared to US and other NATO soldiers raping and pissing on dead civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan.
102. Propaganda triumph
David   (04.15.12)
This senior officer should have been setting an example to his soldiers. Instead he allowed himself to be provoked, lost his temper and lashed out in anger, thus supplying those who wish Israel harm a propaganda triumph - of course there needs to be an enquiry but equally the matter needs to be kept in proportion.
103. My opinion
Jewish Patriot ,   Galut   (04.16.12)
Is Israel surely a Jewish state? A foreign pro terrorist "activist" came to the land of Israel (where he has nothing to do) provokes and attempts to hurt the Israelis and wants Israel to be demolished and promoting to create a fake and new state on its historical boards, then why is this investigation at all? The pro terrorist "victim" is lucky, because if he had done the same in Syria he would not be alive now.
104. #66 Thanks Kai.... you understand : )
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (04.16.12)
105. The power of U TUBE
Dr Williams ,   London UK   (04.15.12)
The soldier concerned is a total disgrace to the IDF and there are possible grounds for a COURT MARTIAL, For sure he needs to be taken off active duty and given a desk job until the matter is examined by seniour officers and possibly by a Magistrate. The soldier appears to be voilent and not in control of fis facilties a very dangerous indivual, a total disgrace to his uniform.
106. The
Darius   (04.16.12)
most tb's here match the moral standards of the IDF officer
107. ACTIVIST'S NO!! TROUBLE MAKERS
BEN JABO ,   ISRAEL   (04.16.12)
108. 105
john Darren ,   cairns-Australia   (04.16.12)
I suggest that you watch the video again .There was no beating-the scumbag was hit by the mag of the rifle.Terrorist supporters should be locked up or shot-depending on the circumstances. For a "doctor"you are very ignorant .Why did you post Dr-as it would give your post some credibility?Your last sentence is Arab English.Go and tend your goats.
109. Get out of here!
withlove ,   Israel   (04.16.12)
Nobody invited the, so get lost...
110. # 9 Biased observer !
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (04.16.12)
Why has the officer beaten hin with M-16 rifle,in Egypt the M-16 rifle is used by officers for somthing more elegant,to kill protesters.
111. imagine
eli   (04.16.12)
one must imagine a group of Israelis going to Denmark or Germany to protest against Danish or German Sovereignty
112. i have no problem with this officer. i support him!!!
ralph   (04.16.12)
113. All is fair in love and war
Mark ,   Lodz, Poland   (04.16.12)
This officer did the right thing. Give these a-holes a finger and they take an arm. The officer is thinking about five times faster than this clueless protester who deserved what he got. He was a fine example for the others who packed up mighty quickly after they witnessed what was in store for them had they chosen to continue to eff with the IDF. Job done..Officer deserves a medal.
114. If more Americans read these talkbacks...
kelly s ,   US   (04.16.12)
...then they would, en masse, lobby their congressional representatives to withdrawal all support for Israel. Seriously, what is wrong with you people? Do you want to lose the support of the only nation that still tolerates you? There is no justification for the actions of this policeman. It does not matter what happens in Syria, the US, or what the Romans did 2000 years ago. Grow up and stop being so defensive.
115. Meke this Israeli soldier THE PRIME MINISTER OF ISRAEl....
James McNamara ,   LA US   (04.16.12)
This guy needs to be hailed as a hero,he did what was needed to be done,as an Ex Marine I stand up and salute him......Israel needs more of his courage, instead of the bleeding hearts who have taken over the proud IDF......
116. I am ashamed, of Jews like yourself ·#30
Jorge   (04.16.12)
Those foreign idiots only in a country like Israel are allowed to interfere in politics of the country and in its internal affairs, if they dont like the way Israel behaves, give them a tour of Syria, let them protest against what is going on there, we´ll see if they only get a smack in the mouth(by the way I hope that s.o.b. lost all his teeth). good for Col. Eisner
117. Are these retards as concerned about Syria & Iran's abuses
Beth Landau ,   Tel Aviv   (04.16.12)
aha, let me see if i got this straight; these retards come provoking our soldiers who put their neck on the line to keep israelis safe, and then they whine like cry babies when they get roughed up..hahahaaaa! fascinating why these so-called "human rights" activists refuse to go to syria, where the brutal regime has slaughtered thousands like sheep. or to iran where the monstrous repressive regime stones women to death and murders christian pastors. these "activists" have got quite a double standard. they've no problem turning a blind eye to massive human rights abuses in neighboring countries..(no flotillas setting sail to save the syrian people being butchered like cattle).. clearly their reason for coming here is their foaming at the mouth hate for israel. this is crystal clear.
118. Hey Kelly 114, you gringos are in Irak and Afghanistan
Jorge   (04.16.12)
arent you really defensive, they are not even in your borders, they cant reach you in any redneck town you live in, they are not telling openly that they want to wipe the U.S. from the map. but those nice foreigners that go to Israel, are backing people that want to dump Israelis into the Mediterranean, dont you think that nosy foreiner got away very light with just a smack in the kisser. Well deserved, he had it coming, next time he´ll think twice where he shows to make trouble with his kisser, meantime, he will make a dentist back home quite happy
119. Question to y net
Andres Bachrach ,   kfar saba telefon 09   (04.16.12)
may I ask you why my yesterday night talkback is not publishd? Andi mihakfar
120. #105 DON'T BE A FOOL
DA URBAN POET ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (04.16.12)
Violent you say ? this soldier was extremely restrained I would say .If he was indeed truly " violent " these troublemakers from overseas would be in the mortuary .This schmuck from denmark just got a light smack in the mouth .NO BIG DEAL . Get over it.
