61. #17. split: Have you seen the US Police?
Tom ,   USA   (04.18.12)
American police is the cruelest, most vicious animals when attack protesters. Imagine what would happen if a group of anti-Obamao foreigner started provoking the Obamista police.... They would beat the sh***out of everybody.
62. @@
Milosz ,   poland   (04.18.12)
Good job. Ditch the itch. It"s your country.
63. #38
Dennis ,   Nj USA   (04.18.12)
I agree with you. Not that Jews need to be unnecessaarily violent, but that, if you screw with us, we will sting you back with a bite that you won't forget. This sh$thead Dane came here looking for trouble. Unfortunately, Eisner got the trouble, the shayitz only got a band- aid
64. Simple
Eli   (04.18.12)
This is all part of getting rid of a religious person frOm the army. First they complain that religious Jews dont join the IDF. Now that ranks are filling with religious Jews they are scared so they have a good way to get rid of One
65. Eisner belongs behind bars
Haim ,   TA   (04.18.12)
66. The soldier Israel needs today
Robert Watkin ,   Panama   (04.18.12)
I hate violence, but there is no way arabs will understand that this is not fooling around.Kol hakavod to you, history has related a diferent history in nice jewish behaving. No more of that. Our country is ours not thers.
67. Sticks and Stones Can Break Your Bones
Noah Lev ,   LosAngelesUSA   (04.18.12)
A soldier, being attacked, whose life and limb are in peril, can pull his weapon and mean it. A policeman can do similar. Some say, police should have been used..okay, but hows about a swat team, shields and all. Havent we all seen how other countries behave toward their own,,.in Syria Russia, China, Berma, etc. Syria is firing across the border into Turkey and Turkey fires into Iraq. Yet, this incident gets more play for the day...When did the leader of a contry apologize under similar circumstances. The IDFer is right..the Dane was in his country, not the reverse. Bibi, Peres, Barak and the rest of that group simply are naive gools,.,and cowtow. Israel should have declared marshal law then lift it after these thugs are incarcerated. That Dane could have been shot guys. And lets assume he did strike the soldier with a stick..sticks can break your bones.
68. Nothing to see here
Maurice ,   Los Angeles, USA   (04.18.12)
It's only a big deal because it happened in Israel. This kind of incident happens all the time at protests all over the world. They never make the news when it happens in France or in the UK (I personally saw the French police beat up on protesters much worse that this). Eisner did his job, protesters should know better than approaching armed soldiers. They obviously were looking for provocations.
69. looking good for the camera is more important
Russ ,   Tlv   (04.18.12)
Israelis dont realise thats why we are losing the propaganda war. Not his fault. Our leaders are too dumb to deploy trained riot police, instead of using our best soldiers to deal with events they never trained for.
70. #6 Sarah B " I have a great idea! "
(04.18.12)
Keep your effing idea to yourself b!tch...
71. 7. The Palestinians ae trying to kick you out
lydia ,   Brisbane   (04.18.12)
What don't you understand. Israels occupation is ILLEGAL. The Geneva convention sanctions resistance against your apartheid regime . Trying to impede, harass and the cyclists only exposes Israel illegal and belligerent occupation.
72. Move on...
Max Merbaum ,   Los Angeles   (04.18.12)
This hasn't made it to the US media outlets or the BBC. It had a half life of three minutes on Al Jazeera, the Danes themselves don't seem to care. Why is the Jerusalem Post and Ynet continuing to report on this? Their love of journalistic objectivity which never seems to be reciprocated? Stamu et ha peh kvar.
73. Lt Col.Eisner
philipmax ,   NY   (04.18.12)
Dear Colonel Eisner. You're in Israel, do the right thing. Leave the military and go into politics. that's the Israeli way. When you get there, get rid of Barak for good!
74. Eisner did the right thing
David ,   USA   (04.18.12)
These rowdy, obnoxious, brain dead and brain washed ruffins come flocking into a foreign country get what they deserved. It was obvious they were instigating violence and trying to cause a riot. Serves them right. To bad the Euro news is scared of their home Muslim populations and continue to spread lies and deciet that Israel is the bad guys. In reality, Israel is the only thing good in the entire region.
75. Jews vs. Euro trash
DEG ,   USA   (04.18.12)
Jews have been bullied for 2,000 yrs by Euro trash. This will not happen anymore. Mr. Eisner may of overacted a tad but somebody needs to put these low class, filthy left wing Euro's in proper order. How dare they invade a foreign country and preach their lies, propaganda and hate. Eisner did the right thing. Israel will always have the great USA. They do not need the Euro trash
76. Lt Col Eisner's Conduct Was Fine
ltrail ,   United States   (04.18.12)
Sir. You had to do what you needed to do, to quell that disturbance. I am very proud of you for taking a strong stand. You were pitted against professional protesters who would use the media to make others look bad and show a good light in their favor. May God bless you richly. Shalom.
77. To #17:One Picture
ltrail ,   United States   (04.18.12)
The AP photo didn't show the broken fingers caused by the work of the professional protester; I wonder what you get out of accusing the IDF Lt. Col. of faking his wounded hand? Your comment is an interesting piece of work. I doubt whether the protester was peaceful at all.
78. Lt. Col. Eisner
Cheryl ,   Chicago USA   (04.18.12)
I think Lt. Col. Eisner did an exceptionally outstanding job under the circumstances. Israel: Please do not allow these anarchists and trouble-makers in the country again, who wish to block roads, start riots and are general trouble-makers for everyone. That goes for all "Peace Activists" = Anarchists!
79. to 9
Jennie ,   Israel/US   (04.18.12)
Who is running to the media, Kalik ? Eisner did everything right..For once, an IDF officer took charge of a hostile situation and used a rightful and necessary action to resolve it, without bloodshed...Wherever you come from, you better stick to facts...On this board, it is only you and "split", who are attacking the actions of Eisner and the IDF, which makes you a pathetic looser...
80. # 56
Birdi ,   Israel & proud of it   (04.18.12)
No Ben, post # 38 is not pathetic. You will never understand in a million years what he is saying. The true meaning behind his words are lost on you. Btw, you were not at the scene so you dont really know what was going on at the time. The video has been doctored.
81. Never Again
dwolf ,   san jose, ca   (04.18.12)
What of "Never Agan" does the media not understand? I remember that during the second infiada a Terrorist (or to the Palestinian's a hero) put his hands in the air showing the blood of Jews who he butchered. In this photo these Anarchists see that Palestinian butcher as a hero. Lt Col Eisner- you showed constraint after a broken arm and you indeed stopped a situation from getting worse. I wish that none of this was necessary and that the World's Anthem could be Kumbaya! But please, anarchists and Jew haters; never again does in fact mean never again!
82. We need a cell phone cam disabler
Eli ,   Naharia, Israel   (04.18.12)
We need to develop a cell phone camera disabler that destroys the hand held electronic devices.
83. don't speak
rm ,   nl   (04.18.12)
he only makes things worse......
84. Interesting rolemodel
ToreBear ,   Oslo, Norway   (04.18.12)
I wonder how widespread this behavior is off camera? I wonder what he himself during his army career has ordered soldiers to do? I wonder how many soldiers could have stood up to his bullying and not abused people as he had told them too? Could I have refused such an order from this man? If I couldn't, would that make me as bad as him? I also wonder if this had awoken the Israeli media if the victim had been a Palestinian?
85. EISNER ,YOU DID THE RIGHT THING
DA URBAN POET ,   SAFED OPERA HOUSE   (04.18.12)
Colonel Eisner ,you are a real jewish hero .The israeli top brass and government are disgusting ,they make me sick .Netanyahu and Barak and Gantz deserve to be booted out of office .Let them take abuse from these antisemite " activists ."
86. The most moral army in the world - NOT
Elias   (04.18.12)
87. To nr 56 - No you are pathetic. You hide your anti-Semitism.
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.18.12)
...behind "legitimate criticism" of Israel and you pretend to fight for democracy, freedom and humanity against occupation, evil and despotism. The problem is, Israel is innocent and is not guilty of your charges. You anti-Semites no longer dare to say openly that you are anti-Semites. You hide behind "democracy" and "humanity". The problem is that you are very selective in your brotherly love - you always exclude Jews/Israelis and Israel. Now answer my questions: 1) Why is "Palestine" a Roman/Latin name? 2) Why is there no letter "p" in Arabic? 3) Nationalism is alien to Arabs who have, for 1400 years, lived as nomads and Beduins in multi-ethnic and multi-racial "Arab" empires whose majority population - locals, subjects, soldiers, mercenaries, scientists, mathematicians, physicians and merchants, were no ethnic Arabs, merely Arab speaking Persians, Kurds, Turks, Jews, Berbers and Africans. Why is that? 4) There is no "Palestine" in the Bible or the Koran. Why? 5) The Bible and the Koran BOTH admit that Israel is the Jewish homeland. How come? 6) Jewish/Israelite history started 2000 B.C.E in Israel - 4000 years ago. Arab history of the original Arabians, started in the 7th century C.E. 1400 years ago, in the southwestern corner of the Arabian peninsula, hundreds of kilometers away from Israel, 2600 years AFTER the start of Jewish civilization. How can Arabs be the "natives" of Israel? 7) Most Arabs arrived in Israel as recently as the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s. How is that ancient history and how does that make "Palestinians" the "natives"? 8) When and where exactly did a "Palestinian" state, republic, nation state, kingdom, city state, duchy, principality or empire exist in recorded history, what are the names of kings and dynasties, cities, towns, villages and currency and why is there not a single ancient civilization mentioning anywhere any "Palestinian" state, civilization, nation or people?
88. Eisner is right. IDF caving in to terrorists would be...
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (04.18.12)
...even worse which stupid Netanyahu, Barak and Gantz have a hard time getting into their thick heads. The more the political elite compromises about Israel's integrity, self respect, independence, sovereignty, territory, history, defensible borders, safety and security and the more Israel apologizes for existing (maybe Israeli politicians should set up a ministry for apologies?) the more weak and fragile Israel looks and the more wild, hostile and aggressive Israel's enemies will become. It is simple human psychology: if a bully sees that his victim is weak and apologizes incessantly, and does literally anything just to please the bully, why would the bully stop? But if the bully will be beaten up and end up with every bone broken in his body and his teeth struck out and turned into a human vegetable for life - I don't think the bully will bully anyone for the rest of his life. And that's precisely what the political elite of Israel can't or won't understand. You build up nations by defending yourself and destroying your enemy - not by retreating from your territory, caving in to pressure in order to "look good" in front of the camera. Looking good in front of the camera won't save Israel. But destroying Israel's enemies without mercy and without pardon and unleashing the entire military might of the IDF will not only instill fear and respect in our enemies. Our enemies might even be extinct for all eternity. Netanyahu should get into his thick head that self respect comes before PR. Israel shouldn't please the world. The world should respect Israel or otherwise face the consequences. I used to like Netanyahu. Now he is nothing but a grave disappointment. He betrayed me and others who either voted for him, liked him, trusted him or admired him. One thing about Netanyahu: Netanyahu never learns - ever. He is the king of b*llshit.
89. NOT right! ARREST&PROSECUTE transgressing "demonstrators".
Jerry ,   The Netherlands   (04.18.12)
90. We needed six million Eisners in Europe.
Michael ,   California, USA   (04.18.12)
Yes, to confront the Nazi bullies every threatened Jew in Europe needed to become a fighting bully. But it didn't happen, regretfully. So, Eisner is a misplaced bully, both in time and place, and just one instead of millions. Look at the videos and you can see many IDF soldiers who acted gently, acted politely. There is no need to exaggerate Eisner's impulsive act.
