Ahmed, are you in the US under false papers? It seems to be trendy that those who come to the US from “Muslim” regions have lied to get in. If you think by the way, that Egypt’s pro-terrorism stance in cutting off all gas is good news; what would you think would happen when the US stops all funding to the OIC, UN, and other pro-terrorist entities? In the words of Jackie Gleason - How Sweet It Is!
62. #20 reason for cancelling
observer ,   Egypt   (04.23.12)
Israel stopped paying Egypt for the gas supply long time ago. Egypt needs money to enhance it economy and its infrastructure as you noted, though exaggerated!
63. # Taylor T earth ; You believe that?
Norbus ,   Jerusalem   (04.23.12)
Solution to Palestinians lies with Arab Nations. Palestinians are economic migrants to Israel for jobs in last 100 years Arabs and Muslims want the destruction of Jewish state and all jews. USA Guarantee of treaty invoked or Israel has to resecure border with Egypt, through revertion of Sinai with the gas fields we developed. Tricky with the black moslem in the white house, but Jews are not ever again going to lie down and die.

The Lubavitcher Rebbe also gave alot of advice to Eshkol in 1967 which was not acted on but could have avoided so many of todays problems. Drop a stray bomb on Temple Mount, we were already at war and winning, so had nothing to lose and it could have been passed off as an accident. Who knows whats down there hidden but we can't look for because of the Muslim presence? After Jerusalem was liberated he told Eshkol to buy the arabs out cheap and then give them 48 hours to get out of town. They were scared of what Israel might do and so they would have been glad of some money and to get out with their lives. No arabs living in Jerusalem today and no mosque on Temple Mount where is the arab claim to the city? Even if we went with the 2 state idea now no arabs in Jerusalem and no mosque would have meant one of the biggest problems would not exist. I know everybody loves to hate the haredi and see them all as wackos but sometimes they do have good ideas.

DONT FORGET THE SHARK MOSSAD PLANTED TO RUIN THE EGYPTIAN TOURISM INDUSTRY Mubarak may not have been Warren Buffet when it comes to economic management but I haven't seen any indications the new Islamic government is going to get things sorted out. Mubarak at least had the muscle to create political stability and political stability a dictator can create makes it possible to make economic reforms even if large parts of the population are against it because a dictator doesn't need to be popular as he doesn't need to get elected.
66. #18 no ending "occupation" even if it costs gas !!

67. Anti - semitism in global politics.
Miron ,   USA   (04.23.12)
And Yahoo was selling Egyptian Army arriving to Sinai as a measure to keep pipeline open... I think these "Muslim" brozeers are wee bit too cozy.
68. Egypt's 'DEATH TO ISRAEL" Million Muslim March Political.
BUTSeriously ,   Sydney   (04.23.12)
The Regimes have been given legitimacy by the UN & EU to commit any crime if it relates to Israel. The death march of a million Muslims on Israel's door step cannot be seen as free speech or political - Its 1938 Germany and must be responded to.
69. New "Tiran Straits" crisis initiated by Egypt
(04.23.12)
Historical memory of Muslims is very short and is always messed up by racism and hatred. I think that losing Sinai and Cairo will jog their memory a bit as to the consequences of their military and political recklessness. Egyptians ousted Mubarak just to raise new Hitlers. And we all remember how Hitler was finished.
70. The ingredients of the Muslim self-destruction

Greed, racism, hatred, arrogance, violence, cowardice, laziness, fanaticism, intolerance, and the list goes on...
71. Arrogance meets stupidity
(04.23.12)
Just when Egypt needs the money and while Israel becomes energy-independent. You can never blame Muslims for having a great timing! Envy, racism and hatred are powerful motivators, and great self-demise ingredients.
72. Egypt going backwards...
Efraim ,   Virginia   (04.23.12)
Thats why they call them "THROW-BACKS". Israel has every right to attack Egypt, but I think Israel will watch them self-destruct. Look at Syria, they are killing each other. These throw-backs are against HASHEM so they will get what they deserve.
73. Ceding the incalculably valuable SInai for worthless paper.
Chaim ,   Israel   (04.23.12)
Until recently, Israel's treaty with Egypt was showcased by "peace activists" as a great justification for Israeli retreat. However, like all Israeli retreats, ceding Sinai was an enormous disaster. It may well turn out to be the worst of all Israel's horrible retreats. To think that we could still have the Sinai, with it's invaluable strategic, military, oil and tourist wealth is enough to make the strong cry. We gave up the incalculably valuable Sinai for worthless paper. Suckered again!
74. the naivete of the statements made...
Josh ,   Atlanta   (04.23.12)
throughout this article hurt my brain to read. My 6 year old could have told you this was going to happen. Are you friggin kidding me, like this is some kind of stunning development? And guess what, it gets worse. The Egyptians want war with Israel, and they aren't exactly being subtle about it, either.
75. Hey Egypt keep the change
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (04.23.12)
maybe the Egyptian's can use their remaining budget on securing their oil line? Oh, those crazy Egyptian's, not enough brains to make a dime on tourism, security, or even gas. Don't worry about it, Israel has huge gas reserves she's about to drill for. Who's gonna pay to repair the oil line repairs, other terrorists? Most Egyptian's don't have toilets with water or drains, some shit hole that must be unclean and fitting for their 'progress'. LOL
76. Without Mubarak you bums will starve.
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (04.23.12)
One day, Egyptian's will realize they ousted the wrong dictator. Mubarak is old, while he ruled, Egypt enjoyed peace. Now, if they can feed their people and keep them from living worse than before, it will be a miracle. The Egyptian's are an enslaved desperately poor, ignorant nation. Thank G-d Moses declared, " Let my people go."
77. Indians would do well to eat cows and save on

78. LOL you haven't a clue, have you?
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (04.23.12)
what do you read, Mickey Mouse? Mad Magazine? The koran? Don't ignore the obvious, ISRAEL OWNS THE LAND. SHE WON, THE PALS, EGYPT, ETC. LOST. Now go play on the freeway, you live under it, don't you?

ever to happen to Israel for, when faced with a real urgent necessity, her engineers, scientists, and those others with the necessary skills invent things that help change the world. Clever people the Jews, that's why G-d chose them. Egyptians are still knee deep in their own waste and ignorance.

(04.23.12)
didn't you read newspapers? are you illiterate? israel found some years ago the biggest natural gas deposits off the coast of haifa for the next 100 years plus additonal gas to sell to europe. they are starting to dig right now. israel in one year will be a huge gas exporter to the world and completely gas independent. so much for eypt. they will come to israel begging. hameed aboughaze, iranian
82. Here here way to go # 33 tell it like it is I might add
ben   (04.23.12)
there was a provision in the Camp David treaty for self autonomy for the Palastinians. As has been said Sadat was an idealist Begin was a lawyer. Begin used the treaty to go full speed ahead building the illeagal settlments. All the time Egypt goes along with it because they are paid off by the USA. I guess mabye the've had enough. PS who said there's no such thing as an occupation. what happened to Dier Yassin and the 521 villages Israel destroyed in 1948 alone

Mohab ,   Cairo   (04.23.12)
So, you are saying that Egypt is dirty, with no industry, poor transportation system and power supply problems? Okay true and actually it got worse after the revolution, but we still get way more tourists than Israel can have in its wettest dreams. How sad is that? Just because we don't give away our gas to Israel as charity, it doesn't mean we want war. If cancelling this shameful gas contract is a breach of the treaty, I would like to inform you that Israel's continued occupation of WB and Gaza is a violation of the 1979 peace treaty. So don't give me crap! And your stupid threat doesn't scare me, sucker!
85. Wrong, TT @ #33
Linichka ,   Gdynia, Poland   (04.23.12)
It is primitive Arab hatred and paranoia which has tanked this deal. So hard to believe that once, millennia ago, Egypt was an advanced, amazing nation. The remnants of thedeep past are the sole basis for any lingering tourism there. I am grateful I saw the pyramids decades ago. Wouldn't return to that miserable shithole of a country for anything, now. It is unfortunate that they are apparently bent on regression, rather than progress: Israeli genius and generosity could have done much for this wretched backwater. It was the Egyptians' foolish decision to keep the "peace" tepid, and now to apparently abandon it.
86. Egypt ends gas deal
David ,   Germany   (04.23.12)
The Egyptians have proven over and over again that they can never be trusted to keep an agreement! When will we learn that we have no friends! Look at the US and EU giving Egypt and the murdering Palestinians tons of money while claiming to support Israel. Sadly to say but this is only the start of what’s to come.
87. will they understand?
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (04.23.12)
So once again, the Zionists were right: the basis for peace cannot be surrender of land, but ensuring Israel is viable and has defensible borders. Will the extreme Left wake up and support complete liberation of Judea and Samaria from the Arab occupation? Or will they continue their effort to build a new Arab state?
88. TaylorT Earth #33 Your view is warped
Daniel ,   Tel Aviv   (04.23.12)
Your view has been warped by propaganda and lies foisted on you be media with sympathies for the ersatz Palestinians. Here are a few facts: 1. There were never Palestinians living in Judea and Sumaria...there were Jews and Arabs. Until 1948 when Jordan attacked Israel and stole the land forcing the Jews to leave 2. Israel reconquered the lands of Judea and Sumaria. Instead of kicking the Arab populace out and sending it to Jordan Israel allowed many to remain. 3. Since its birth, Israel has tried to make peace with all of its neighbors. This has been rejected. Israel even attempted to give the ersatz Palestinians all of Judea, Sumeria and part of Jerusalem. But Arafat rejected the deal stating Arabs had the right to return to Israel or no deal. 3. The PA still refuses to recognize Israel as a Jewish State. It also will not allow Jews to live within its borders should it become a state. 4. Israel has always allowed Arabs to live within its borders...this has had the unfortunate result of terror attacks against civilians every year for over 60 years. 5. Israel could be smarter. Now perhaps it will have to be. Time to be independent of Egyptian gas and develop our own power sources. Paying Egypt anything is costing Israel too much. They can and should allow Egypt to choke on it

solomon ,   bklyn   (04.23.12)
1. Egypt tried to reconcile Fatah and Hamas, failed, and so you blame Israel? 2. Which spoiled goods? 3. Israel allowed additional troops to Sinai; I'm sure some of them took their mission seriously; I'm sure some of them did not. But you are right in one thing: Gas exports are part of the peace treaty. Unilaterally suspending them is definitely a clear violation of the peace treaty!

Jews have earned the right to live there, Bible or no Bible. Read some history instead. Read about the Moslem Conquest, about the Jordanian takeover and kicking the Jews out of the Old City. Read about the Jewish refugees from arab countries who were absorbed by Israel and about the arabs who fled in 1948 at the behest of the arab armies. Their arab brothers keep them in camps. Read about all the times the arabs backed away when a peace treaty seemed close. Read how many times the arabs have made counter offers to Israel (very few indeed). Israel withdrew from Gaza (remember?) and received rockets, mortars...murder in return. Hamas still tries to kill Jews and teaches their young childern to do the same. Yes, unattractive bullying has kept hate alive in Egypt and other nations! But it is the bullying by the arab governments of their own people to distract them from their domestic problems. The people allowed themselves to be played by their own governments. Read some history, then post. But first you’ll have to get your head out of the sand.
