The State of Israel is not a legal party to the Palestine Mandate and it is the State of Israel that appropriated state lands for settlements. I am not rescinding the Mandate. Rostow's entire argument relies on Art. 6 of the Mandate which gives Jews the right to settle West of the Jordan River.The Mandate’s primary purpose was to form a viable Jewish state. Article 6 was an administrative directive for Britain (the Mandatory) to help facilitate Jewish immigration only to satisfy that purpose and none other.
