Government needs to be much more proactive on social issues, poverty, child care, education, jobs. There are still limits to what government can do as it starts with what a child learns in his family.

Lots of clearly marked patrol vehicles, moving at varying rated of speed in non grid patterns through HIZ's(High Incident Zones) and change the uniform to a more intimidating one. Random patterns of patrol, etc. God! The books on this problem have been available since the early 60's. And yes. I DO have extensive experience in the subject. About thirty five years worth.

Where is the plan to CLEAN UP the old bus central station area in Tel Aviv. That area is so dangerous now that when I was in Israel recently I was advised not to pass through there after sundown! There had been stabbings, muggings, etc. I was told the police had lost the control of that area! Well then the army should get in and clean it up, fast! How the people of Tel Aviv tolerate this is beyond me.

Israel's police departments are a far cry from the spectacular IDF. They seem to enjoy targeting Jews while failing abysmally with the criminal elements introduced into Israel over the last decade or so. Its an incompetent organization that needs a major overhaul and training by the IDF. Its pitiful.
