The proposition in the article is substntially flawed. Israel built nuclear weapons with only a defensive goal in mind. Necessity and survival motivated that end goal. That ( and that alone ) is why Israel succeeded. Iran however wishes to build the bomb with an offensive goal in mind. Getting the bomb is not a necessity for Iran. Nor is it essential for Iran's survival. That is why Iran may well decide that this folley is one mad move too far..
