I don't know what you're talking about. I go to USA every year to see my family, in Florida, and can tell you that every year it looks more and more third world. I am 46 and when I grew up, I never knew anyone on food stamps, they were for very, very poor who lived in ghetto neighborhoods Today, I can go to the beach on a weekday and there are loads of people, and when I speak with them, they are professionals, law secretaries with over 20 yrs experience and out of work, just to name a bit. So many on food stamps, what is that all about? So many without work, the situation is really an abomination and the worse I have every seen in the USA, nothing even came close. Work was abundant, and everyone could work in a number of place, that is the USA I know. You may be very young, but the situation is dire today and I don't know how you can say otherwise.

As a liberal Jewish Obama voter I am very happy with his stands on health care and gay marriage but as a Jew , I remember that Obama really has put Israel under the bus.He changed the policy of previous administrations that the borders were subject to negotiations and that Israel would get new borders and not have to go back to the 67 borders ( including the Western Wall and the settlement blocks ) to withdrawal from all the territories.This takes away Israel's most important card in negotiations. This president cannot be trusted to protect Israel when Iran gets its nuclear bomb.

Computers have given workers the option to communicate directly and secretaries are not needed. Robots have replaced manual labor of the old. Still, many people are working on jobs that can be automated further. So, in the future we will see more and more unemployment. Young people, and those who lost jobs, need to train for different skills than in the past. My initial point was that Obama cannnot do anything about this process. The Congress needs to legislate laws that will keep the scarce American jobs in this country, not allow sending manufacturing and many service jobs out to the Far East. But this will cause a drop in our standard of living and politicians don't dare to do it. A day of reckoning is coming, I am sure, but Obama will not be blamed.
