Some people here are implying that king David was gay or bi-sexual because of his love for Jonathan. Love and sex are not the same (1Samuel 20:42). To love ones parents and brothers and sisters does not mean you have sex wih them. A true friend will even put their lives on the line for a friend if the need arises. Jonathans father considered him a traitor because of his loyaly to his friend David. As for kisses, there are cultures where men greet with a kiss on the cheeks and even on the lips yet they are not homosexuals. David bowed to Jonathan because he was the apparent heir to the throne and David owed his life to him. If YHWH considered homosexualism an abomination, why would He make David ruler over Israel and also a prophet? King David was a sinner like the rest of us but I do not think he was a homosexual.

Oh, I don't know. I tend to find a heavily tattooed man being sexual with an equally heavily tattooed woman pretty repulsive. For that matter, I find an untattooed man being sexual with an untattooed woman in public to be about as repulsive. No shortage of either in New York City, by the way. Revulsion is not -- nor should it be -- gender driven. I'm not a psychiatrist, but I would say that if you are repulsed at the sight of two men being sexual with one another, then perhaps you have some sexual identity issues that remain unresolved. Well, it's never too late.

And the relationship between David and Jonathan -- G-d seems to have loved them both, despite the fact that it is quite clear that their relationship was homosexual. In regards to David and Jonathan, in light of what Leviticus 18 and 20 says about God's disdain about the sin of homosexuality, I doubt David, being a "man after God's own heart", would have engaged in such a perverse lifestyle. I know David failed in many things; this would not have been one of them. I have a close friend who is like a brother to me; I love him dearly; but, am happy to say we are both married to two beautiful women.
