I think you need to reconsider your comments quickly because it's not gonna be long before you're gonna be begging the US to come rescue your sorry ass!
64. probably shoot down by a Russian missile

Recently Russia deployed AA missiles in Northern Syria. Russia was caught red handed last week in sending MI-24 atatck helicopters and misssiles hided on a cargo bound to Syria. There are also reports that S-300 AA missile battery operate d by Russian technicians are currently activated near Tartus in a way to twart any air raids by NATo planes. A aging F4, doesn't match with those modern systems. I would be interested to see how the Turkish leadership will manage to present the Syrian slap on their faces as a "friendly" gesture. Only muzz fanatics like "tayfun" would buy it. But I guess it will not be the opinion of the majority of the Turks who are very nationalists. A Military Intervention by Turkey, even limited in Syria will be a interesting developement.

You attacked an unarmed plane and you managed to shut it down. I should say your big dady Russian military managed to shut down a regular surveillance plane. Wow! Big achievement there. Bring on the champagne, baba!!

Wow. A new episode from Keystone Kops. Very reminiscent of 1974, when the Turkish Air Force bombed a Turkish naval vessel off Famagusta. Israel pulled those hapless -- and helpless -- Turkish sailors out of the sea, then. Don't ever forget that. Don't look for it to happen again. We'll tell you ask the MAVI MARMARA for help. Snicker.

F-22 has its role. Downing 5 planes is not one of those.

The F4 Phantom that Syria shot down could well have been a reconnaissance variant, which is obviously not a top line jet by today's standards. Turkey does though possess many F-16 Fighting Falcons, which funnily enough, is also one of Israel's top fighter jets. Imagining what Israel's Air Force could do to Turkey's Air Force, based on the grounds of Syria shooting down one of Turkey's older fighter jets is plain ignorant and stupid.

If you were weak, the Turks would have already invaded. Stay strong.

I too feel your sense of accomplishment at taking out a biplane with a wooden propeller. No doubt about it, syria is very much up on the latest hi-tech
71. #70 & 68.... Reconnaissance plane
Duncan ,   UK   (06.23.12)
"Turkish deputy prime minister Arinc says downed Turkish jet not warplane but reconnaissance plane - state TV" Well done Syria. Look out for the F-16's that will be paying you a visit very soon.
