31. STOP THESE PEOPLE NOW!!!
Chaya ,   Bat Yam   (06.24.12)
They have been afflicted with the same disease of the Occupy people in the U.S. and their Radical Leftist supporters in Europe. STOP THIS IMMEDIATELY!!
32. Social Protests
Roxy ,   Israel   (06.24.12)
Peaceful ones are 100% ok but the small group of hooligans who cause problems by breaking into banks or other institutions and endanger lives should be arrested and thrown in jail ! Violence only begets violence, not change, have we learned nothing from Dr Martin Luther King or Gandhi? Social injustice can not stand before peaceful protest, but social injustice will stand firm against violent protest!
33. No surprise
Michael ,   Haifa   (06.24.12)
A fascist, capitalist government will undoubtedly order its police to stamp out social protest.
34. #16, "Freedom of speech" to riot and vandalize banks??
Jake   (06.24.12)

37. #30 - Israeli 2
Devorah   (06.24.12)
Yeah, how about that nasty Right? The hearts of the "peaceful" Left are dark and filled with rage. Remember the European punk who attacked the IDF officer a few months ago? Remember the Mavi Marmara? Remember the "social activist" last year who said they might be forced to resort to violence? And the list goes on ad infinitum. Buncha wackos, dear Israeli 2.
38. Shame on you Netanyahu
Ayman ,   Jordan   (06.24.12)
Shame on you Netanyahu
39. Who reads this website?
Laura ,   ISrael   (06.24.12)
Are you all unilaterally soulless people? There is a protest cause people are suffering for the inequality of economical distribution, for the lack of child support, for the lack of work welfare, for a minimal wage of 4300 shekels a month! It is easy to condemn, to leash out your judgmental mind... try to understand for a change
40. Violence
Reuven36 ,   Herzliya Israel   (06.24.12)
Nothing can justify violence in this country. The protestors have lost my support.
41. 16,33 Double standard hypocrites
Ilan   (06.24.12)
Left name calling is *always* acceptable and never incitement.
42. Indeed so Devorah @ #37.
Israeli 2   (06.24.12)
I remember them all too well. LOL.
43. They should throw rocks at cars instead
Robert ,   Romania   (06.24.12)
They should have pretended to have religious coercion protests. They would have never gotten arrested for that. Still, what they did is not ok at all... why would you throw a projectile at someone's lifelihood because of lack of social justice?
44. You People Don't Get It
Shira Z ,   J'slm, Israel   (06.24.12)
1st off I disagree w the violence b ut most of the TB'ers are basically saying, "Get a job." Well when my previouls job ended I went back to the US to visit my aging parents and ended up having to stay and help them out (they made aliyah) for a year. Returned and spent a year trying to find a job that pays a living wage. Now my job pays less than my previous position, with less hours, my rent's gone up, and the combo means that my rent (before factoring in bills and arnona) is nearly 1/2 my paycheck! Adding to this north of Rehov Yaffa is not safe anymopre if you're not extremist-Haredi - they're trying to 'ethnically cleanse' J'slm of non-haredim. (Yes. not all Haredim, a 'small minority' that no one has any control over or even does anything about.) Fir evening I was SPIT ON by a haredi kid, and called a shiksa and told to get out in Hebrew that sounded like Yiddish. This occured while I was on my way to my (Haredi) brother for aruchat shabbat. BTW I was wearing a knee-length dress with a short-sleeved top underneath (not a tank top).But5 all the normal Haredim better watch out cause there are more and more burka babes running around soon and that will be the new norm north of Yaffa I can't wait till someone spits on YOU cause you're showing an inch of neck. Or, like the Aish rabbi told me some years ago, "A woman should not express joy in public." Because my habit of walking around smiling just isn't snius.
45. #30 - Laura
Devorah   (06.24.12)
Understand what, Laura? Understand criminal behaviour? Do you find that to be acceptable? Why don't you understand that the rest of us bust our butts and make things happen for ourselves instead of becoming professional whiners and lawbreakers? Stop being a crybaby, and act like a Jew.
46. My previous post should be to #39
Devorah   (06.24.12)
47. how do you define democracy?
zionist forever   (06.24.12)
" While we are struggling for what we've been fighting for throughout the year, we realized there is a new struggle, a great struggle for democracy" So what exactly does democracy mean to the leaders of the protests? They demand the government is obligated to give? Daphne Leef wants to set up tents in Tel Aviv despite the fact its illegal we are obligated to let her have her tents? Riots & smashing windows? In a democracy you don't like government policy then you wait till election day and you vote for another party or even form your own if you like but until somebody elects you then you have no right to dictate terms and certainly don't have a right to riots. Last years protests have ended yo created problems rather than solving them. Now the protestors think its their job to dictate to government, private business and anybody else who they have a problem with. Maybe somebody should tell them if they wnt to have a struggle for democracy and get violent all they need to do is go next door to Syria, they would have a great time.
48. That's okay #46...you get my
Israeli 2   (06.24.12)
recommendation just for thinking about me, anyway.
49. #48 - Israeli 2
Devorah   (06.24.12)
LOL thanks!!!
50. As a child I was a leftist
NC ,   Montreal, Canada   (06.24.12)
But over the years I've seen the leftist camp drift further and further towards being a group of out-of-touch anarchists, and as a result I've moved over to the right. These types of protests are currently plaguing Montreal also. There are social injustices in our society, and gathering together to protest them peacefully is legitimate. But who believes that vandalism, smashing windows, disrupting traffic, and (in Montreal) throwing rocks and molotov cocktails at cops counts as peaceful?? In my experience, the cops only intervene when people break the law by damaging property or attacking the cops themselves. And they only intervene violently when people resist violently. And finally, the organizers of these "peaceful" protests never seem to condemn the violence perpetrated by their fellow protesters. If they were truly out to stage peaceful civil disobedience, they would condemn violent behaviour by other protesters and would attempt to limit that behaviour. Until the organizers speak out publicly against violence perpetrated by protesters and stress to all protesters that the protests are intended to be peaceful, they have absolutely no legitimacy.
51. Tel Aviv Radicals
Bob Jackson ,   Delaware, USA   (06.24.12)
You people need to read your Tanakh. Korak's rebellion had a big suprise, but you don't believe so you are following his path to your own destruction!!!
52. Violent Protests in Tel Aviv
Carol Goldenstein ,   Winnipeg, Canada   (06.24.12)
Leftists believe they are morally and intellectually superior and the rest of society must conform to their view of the world and somehow this gives them the right to violence and vandalism?...Jewish leftists especially sicken me as they damage the image of Jews and Israel all over the world...they are providing aid and comfort to the enemies of Israel. All the self-sacrifice of those who went before is totally unappreciated and treated with contempt by these fools.
53. Violent Protest in Tel Aviv
Carol Goldenstein ,   Winnipeg, Canada   (06.24.12)
Leftists are so self-centered and are so convinced of their moral superiority....they are educated fools. Jewish leftists especially sicken me. They damage the image of Jews and Israel
54. Violence in Tel Aviv
Floriane ,   Israel   (06.24.12)
As much as I hate violence, I believe that in general people are fed up with the economic situation, the problems with foreigners, migrants. Everyone gets more than the hard working Israeli. I do not support riots, but how people can be heard sometime!
55. Democracy
David ,   UK, London.   (06.26.12)
The world is changing. Police brutality, violence, and shutting the people up will no longer work. In London you are not beaten up for demonstrating in Hyde Park, you can say what you want and its right in the heart of the city. We need democracy here too!
56. Foreign Money
Joe Sombrero ,   USA   (06.26.12)
Israel National News said there was possible large funding of Foreign Money infused into the protest. Where is the investigation going on into who is supplying the funds? Has Ynet picked up on this?
