1. I wonder if any of her Arab neighbors speka to her?
Charles ,   Paris, FRANCE   (06.28.12)
Is she totally shunned within her ethnic community for her liberal views?
2. Kol Hakavod
Yisraeli   (06.28.12)
Kol Hakavod lach and your family. Give dash to my brother who also lives in Kfar Vradim (Natan Golan). Just dont join Kadima, a party of pure opportunists and self serving, much like the arab MK's. PS. I am a Feiglinite, And we respect all Arabs who are willing to live with us in peace together. But those who choose to war against us we want to help them go elsewhere, much like what you said.
3. Arabs must enlist in IDF
Harold ,   USA   (06.28.12)
Netanyahu and his followers are proclaiming that Israel must be called a Jewish state. I don't believe Arabs will ever enlist in IDF and defend a Jewish State. All Arab residence were at that neighborhood for hundred of years and before Israel was created.
4. Please, lets be sane
Larry ,   Los Angeles   (06.28.12)
Arabs (and there are some really nice ones, too) are on the wrong side of the trust line. When our sons are in a fighting group, they don't need their support compromised.
5. amazing!
nadav ,   tlv   (06.28.12)
she should run for the Knesset
6. NO they Must not!!!!!
Phoenix ,   Israel   (06.28.12)
We can't have enemies within the army.

Aviva ,   Israeli   (06.28.12)
I only wish we could all be friends. What a wonderful family.
9. More power to her
Avi   (06.28.12)
Let her voice and people like hers' be raised high until it eclipses that of the arab MKs who seek nothing but harm.
10. You are a blessing
Keren, IL-BR   (06.28.12)
You are a blessing to my country. A model of dignity and patriotism. G-d protect you and your family and help us make our country one of coexistence and peace.
11. Take note leftists!
Amichai ,   Huntsville, US   (06.28.12)
This woman is a TRUE ISRAELI. She understands that her way of life is only protected by those willing to sacrifice for it and she contributes to that effort, not sucks the socialist teet dry.
12. # 3 Harold.Arabs must enlist.
J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (06.28.12)
Arabs have a good reason (if they have common sense) to defend Israel, even if Israel is a Jewish state, if they look around in the muslim world, they see only powerty, fanaticism, oppression, rich palestinians in the west bank are using their connections in Israel to become Israeli citizens, how many Israeli arabs would be willing to live in Gaza,Jordan,Iraq,Pakistan,Egypt, and so on.
13. ARABS SERVING IN THE IDF
ARIELA ,   ISRAEL   (06.28.12)
#1 You may be surprised to hear that this lady is not the only Israeli arab that hold this view . I myself know many that do and she is not the first arab that has said "I have no other homeland " Arabs with this view are very welcome by me in Israeli society, they want and do contribute and are entitled to all the benifits that being an Israeli citizen gives them . We can and do coexist peacefully together .
14. All Arabs should serve
zelig ,   memphis u.s.a.   (06.28.12)
While I agree that all Arabs should serve the State of Israel,I think that those who hate the Jewish character of Israel should be forced to help SOMEONE other than themselves.Israel could send them to Yemen, for example,to help the Yemenis desalinate water or Israel could send them to Somalia to help with similar life giving deeds [ installing irrigation tubing, for example].The Arabs need to be trained to become pro-life,as the Jews already are and if they are not ready to carry on activities that are pro-Jewish,then they should at least carry on activities that are pro-Muslim or pro-Arab. maybe they could be sent to Syria after Assad is thrown out to help fix that country up.
15. A great story
Ivan ,   South Africa   (06.28.12)
As a Jew born and living in SA a Christian country, I served with the SADF,with many other Jews and we were respected and treated like equals.
16. As an Israeli-Arab, i agree with her
Rami of Nazareth ,   Israel   (06.28.12)
Arab should enlist or at least do national service. This is our only country and we should protect it.
17. Muslim woman: Arabs must enlist in IDF
TovaChava ,   Toronto, Canada   (06.28.12)
I'm so happy to see a Muslim, Arab-Israeli woman being so respectful, modern, and forward thinking about her responsibilities to the state. Honestly, thank you. Arabs should be supporting the state! There's never dignity in mooching!
18. I only hope, for you and your children,
A ,   Belgium   (06.28.12)
that no harm will come to you because of your beliefs. Just keep believing.
19. To: No. 3
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.28.12)
Israel was created over 5,000 years ago, long before the term "Arab" was ever invented. You are such a fool. Moreover, Israeli Arabs have far more in common with Israeli Jews than they have with Arabs anywhere throughout the Arab world. Did it escape your notice that when the ersatz "Palestine" Authority was created, not a single, solitary Israeli Arab pulled up stakes and went to live under the aegis of the PA in the interests of helping to build a viable, vibrant state? Did you bother to ask yourself the big "why?" or -- better yet -- the even bigger "why not?"
20. emphasizing her a "muslim" won't bail out islam itself
ygalg ,   israel   (06.28.12)
islam is evil its a fact her enthusiasm to endorse arab muslims to serve jewish army is against islam. that is indication of apostasy. she dared to go against islamic principles, this can only happen in progressive society. I congratulate her for not allowed islam, to dictate her reasoning.
21. To: No. 1
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (06.28.12)
Probably not. If anything, she is far more likely to be shunned for being divorced than for any other reason. It is far more common to see Christian Arabs serve in the IDF, but there are plenty of Israeli Arabs who are Moslem serve, as well. Why should it be such an alien concept? Don't you think that all Israeli Arabs are quite cognizant of the quality of their lives in Israel, as opposed to what it might be, were they living under Arab rule in an Arab country?
22. nice to see.....
alsky ,   Toronto   (06.29.12)
some logic. Its long overdue. All Israelis who serve are special......all of them.!!!....Jews, xtians, Muslims etc...
23. These Arab-Israel that serve are still 2nd class citizens
Mark   (06.29.12)
Under jewish law (right of return) the state will NOT allow them to buy land.
24. BRAVO !
Yossef   (06.29.12)
25. # 3 you are the only fool here
Kobi Martin   (06.29.12)
Where were you when my grandparents drained swamps in the Yishuv? Where were you when my father fought the 67 war? Where were you when I was sent to Beirut? Don't come now to spoil my country with your racist and backward ideas. This is a Jewish State with a huge Arab minority that are our nationals too. The narrative of this Arab woman deserves to be commended and it is not an allien like you, with a double passport, that will spoil our democratic efforts. Go back to Brooklyn and keep your primitive isolationist ideas with you. This is a democratic State that has room to Arabs that want to build a future with us.
26. ersatz
observerving ,   EILAT ISRAEL   (06.29.12)
bogus, copied, counterfeit, fake, false, imitation, manufactured, phony, pretended, sham, simulated, spurious, substitute, synthetic Sarah B, why do you not try to mix it up a bit
27. observant is not servant
observer ,   Egypt   (06.29.12)
Jewish religious leaders have always compared the Palestinians to the ancient Canaanites whose extermination and/or expulsion are predestined by divine design according to scriptures. This explains the attitude of the people of Israel in their sympathy towards the demands of the religious parties of Israel in expelling Palestinians from their land. Jewish law does permit some non-Jews to reside in the land of Israel under certain conditions, which can be summed up thus–”must pay taxes and accept suffering, humiliation and servitude” as expressed by Mordechai Nisan of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem who relied upon the law of Maimonides which demands that a non-Jew be held down, that he not raise his head against Jews, that no non-Jews may be appointed to any office or position of power over Jews, and if such non-Jews refuse to live under these conditions then this is a signal of disobedience which necessitates Jewish warfare against them in cleansing the land of Israel of their presence.
28. Isaiah 14:1-2
observer ,   Egypt   (06.29.12)
.... And the peoples will take them and bring them to their place, and the house of Israel will possess them in the L-RD’s land as male and female slaves. They will take captive those who were their captors, and rule over those who oppressed them.
29. #23, Mark
Benjamin ,   Denver, CO   (06.29.12)
Either you are extremely misinformed or absolutely delusional. Any Arab Israeli can purchase and own land in Israel like every other citizen of the country. The law of return has absolutely nothing to do with land ownership. Amazing where you come up with such crap.
30. 23
(06.29.12)
israeli arabs, all those that stayed in israel when it was born ARE FULL FLEDGED CITIZENS OF ISRAEL AND THEREFORE CAN AND DO BUY LAND LEGALLY AND LIVE WITH JEWS EVERYWHERE IN ISRAEL. look at haifa, look at acco, look at ramle, look at beer sheva, etc... all have arab israeli citizens buying land, condo's building homes and buying apartments. all of them with no problem at all. those who cannot buy apartments and land are the palestinians that live in the west bank since they are not citizens. when israel captured the west bank and east jerusalem in a war which jordan started, these arab palestinians lived in jordan's west bank before 67. they all had jordanian citizenship. israel was willing to give the captured territories to king abdullah back after the 67 war, but he refused to accept it and stripped all his jordanian palestinian citizens from their jordanian citizenship and left them stateless in that area in the west bank. israel will not grant them citizenship and these palestinians who were formerly jordanian citizens, are quite different than the israeli arabs who are citizens of israel. the law of return applies to jews only in trying to immigrate to israel because the un officially and from the beginning called the land of israel, the jewish home and israel's by laws require only jews can move to israel and no one else. this is what the un meant by a national jewish home, a home and a protected home fro the jewish nation. you can't go against the league of nation mandate.
