31. #11 - how is this attributed to the Right?
William ,   Israel   (07.23.12)
Do you have proof of the poster's political leanings? I say its more indicative of the Israeli mindset. Regardless of the victory, still a bit cautious and cynical. 3000 years of "experience" has taught us so. Doesn't mean we don't appreciate it nor will we stop working to make the world a better place. Just how it is with us.

I didn't miss the "at the request of Israel" part. Does the expression "double hearsay" mean anything to you?
33. There was no "at the request of Israel"
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (07.24.12)
Apparently the claim has no merit or at least according to the European Union - EEAS (European External Action Service). It makes no such claim in fact it states the EU extended the request.
34. #11 Avramele: Celebration?
Tom W ,   USA   (07.24.12)
Your comrades at Haaretz are lamenting, that the BDS (boycott) has fizzled and now seeking other efficient ways to destroy their only home where they are tolerated. Where else on earth people like raving Bolshevik Jews? Many will get heart attack on hearing that the EU's beauty queen "capitulated" to the bad, bad, Right-wingers. Take Aspirin, it helps.
35. Two state solution impossible ?
Gabe ,   Canada   (07.24.12)
The EU got it all wrong. Impossible is the solution !
36. Great talkbacks
Cameron ,   USA   (07.24.12)
One great big collective "FO!" in response to this EU move. Dig it!

Hopefully, you have by now wiped the froth and spittle from your mouth. It is SO unsightly. Makes you look a little loony, in fact. Now, kindly tell me which member of the European Union has been "friendly" to Israel in -- oh, say, the last seven years. I would like specific references -- United Nations votes; public declarations decrying ersatz "Palestinian" acts of terror; expression of thanks to Israel for destroying Syria's nuclear ambitions .... you know, examples like that. Are you sure you are Jewish? The day that Jews stop perceiving the world through the Holocaust will be a sad day indeed. I guess you just don't care. Perhaps you need to turn your petrified brain northward to Syria and look at what's going on there with respect to Syrian vast stockpiles of chemical and biological weapons, and tell me exactly what the so-called "friendly nations" are doing about it. The answer, of course, is "not a damned thing." Why would they? The most significant threat is to the State of Israel and to the Jewish people, so why would they care? "Blowing off friendly nations," indeed. You are a consummate fool.
38. # 37. Surely trade agreements, the highest in the world =
Baruch   (07.24.12)
friendly nations. i.e The EU is to Israel with the largest trading partners in the world to Israel. Otherwise they wouldnt trade in the first place. In contrast, is the Eu friendly with Iran? not really if you go by all the sanctions and embargos, right down to it's individuals. Why do you result to try to insult that lady Deborah or whatever her name was. Once you name call, it means you have lost the 'battle' well - the battle in your head. She provided some clear facts, they were interesting. And I seen they were real. So, what do you want. EU trades with Israel, they are bad, EU doesnt trade with Israel they are bad. What do you want??! Excuse me if my English isnt that great, so dont attack me on that. I am an Israeli and actually live in Israel and not the comfy comfy USA in my armchair telling us how to live here.
