Erekat's comments are not more important than those specks of dirt that a fly is leaving behind.
62. PA lack of economic activity
Brent ,   San Antonio USA   (07.30.12)
The Palestinians, through one avenue or another, have had literally billions and billions of dollars given them. Enough so, that each and every one should be living in luxury if those dollars had simply been handed through to each person. Or, if those billions had been used to build universities, banks, and other economic infrastructure then the Palestinians would have a flourishing economy. But they don't. Why? Because their leaders embezzle the funds, divert it to their friends, waste it trying to wage war. The end result is the economic disparity Romney cited. It has NOTHING to do with Israeli's or "occupation". It has everything to do with corruption!
63. First good thing you heard about Romney?
Richie ,   Boston, USA   (07.30.12)
Probably because you have been listening to MSNBC and the Obama camp too much. If all he cares about is his money, why did he only take $1.00 per year for wages when he saved the Salt Lake City Olympics and also when he saved Massachusetts from their big deficit? Only about money...? How did Obama become a multi-millionaire when he never had a real job? read about the sweetheart deal he got on his Chicago house from his criminal friend. Or about how Michelle got a big raise at her Chicago hospital job right after obama (as Senator) had millions of additional tax dollars shipped to her place of employment. Or maybe how all the big obama contibutors from the last election have made billions of dollars for failed "green energy" hand-outs from Obama. I see only one person and his group caring only about money here and it is not Romney.
64. Only PA suffers restrictions?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.30.12)
Typically,Erecat overlooks the fact that Israel built up its economy despite the still continuing Arab boycott by ALL its neighbours. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
65. Is there a new Erecat?
Ian ,   Newcastle upon Tyne   (07.30.12)
I'm under the impression that Erekat resigned his position over a year ago. If he cannot even be trusted to resign and mean it I wouldn't trust anything that he says. THREE CHEERS FOR ISRAEL!!!
66. If Erekat doesn't like Romney's comments,
Reuven   (07.31.12)
the comments were good for Israel.
67. If Erekat has, this typeof attitude towards
mel ,   chicago   (07.31.12)
the future USA President thats perfectly fine. We should stop financial aid to the palestinians. No more 400M$ aid should be given to the PA next year. Nice, my country can save some.
68. Romney's comments inflamed pals
observer ,   usa   (07.31.12)
I am no Romney fan but why is it that whenever someone speaks the truth in the middle east, it's always controversial? The result is a bunch of muddled diplomatic BS designed not to offend anyone too much, that effectively communicates nothing.
