31. #13, So sure. are you?
Jake   (08.07.12)
It is a criminal offense under Iranian regime for it's citizens to have ANY dealings with Israel and Israelis. Your moral equivalence STINKS.
32. Oh no!
Ariks ,   Petah Tikvah   (08.07.12)
This is news? Seriously, I'm friends with lots of Iranians I met abroad. Everybody knows it's just the Ayatollahs who are the problem.
33. To Sarah B #12
Helene ,   Israel   (08.07.12)

Daniel ,   tel aviv Israel   (08.08.12)
It is also a criminal offense under Israeli law to have any dealings with citizens of Iran...Nahum Manbar 16yrs prison being one example...Iran has no problem letting Iranian Jews which number over 20000 visit family in Israel if they so wish..There is also a Jewish member of the Iranian parliament Ciamak Moresadegh..As you don't have a moral equivalent i will not comment on it..
35. #2 - If Ella dressed like that in Jerusalem
Doug ,   Rochester, USA   (08.08.12)
She would be spit upon and stoned and called a whore. Ella is clearly an outlier in today's Israeli society.
36. Stupid article playing into false stereotypes
William ,   Israel   (08.08.12)
Despite the media and the islamist bravado, Iranians as a whole really do respect and want peace with Israelis. Many Iranians are not radical like its leadership and decry the growing oppressive policies that affect everyone there, including the B'hais, Zoroastrians, etc. Many still see the Islamists as Arabian oppressors in a Persian land, and appreciate the democracy of multi-cultural Israel. This meeting in Thailand is not news.
37. #26 - I know! I married one.
William ,   Israel   (08.08.12)
38. Proud of them both!
Clara ,   Paris, FR   (08.08.12)
39. ISRAELI + IRANIAN FRIENDSHIP IS POSSIBLE
DR LES GLASSMAN ,   JERUSALEM ISRAEL   (08.08.12)
I WAS THE ISRAELI COMMISSIONER IN JAKARTA, INDONESIA @ THE WORLD STAMP CHAPIONSHIP LAST MONTH. I MET THE IRANIAN COMMISSIONER AND WE GOT ON EXTREEMLY WELL - JUST AS STAMPS HAVE NO BOUNDARIES SO IF WE LOOK AT EACH OTHER AS INDIVIDUALS, WE ALL CAN BE PART OF A FAMILY OF NATIONS!
40. #16 Ella,the Israeli,is much,much beautiful!
Keren ,   IL-BR   (08.08.12)
41. #35 - clearly you haven't been to Jerusalem
William ,   Israel   (08.08.12)
Had you visited Israel - and there is no guarantee you'll enter - you'd see girls look like Ella all over the place, except in strictly religious neighborhoods, and some conservative Arab ones. your ignorance is astounding but then again, you're just parroting the racist rants of others you admire, so it's understandable. You're clearly an outlier in today's Rochester society.
42. hoora is not a Persian name and she looks like Iranian Jews.
(08.08.12)
43. TO 13
(08.08.12)

44. LET'S HAVE SEX ANYWAY.
Nowhere Man ,   Metropolis, Zion.   (08.08.12)
45. Seriously, do you believe your own propaganda?
Jake   (08.08.12)
Nahum Manbar's crime was not in having contacts with Iranians, but in supplying chemical weapons ingredients and the knowhow to produce them to the Iranians. He served 14.5 years in an Israeli prison and is now free. Can you imagine how a person convicted of such a crime would be punished in America, let alone in Iran? Since the Iranian revolution, 13 Persian Jews have been executed for alleged ties to Israel. Jews can leave Iran for visits abroad and return, but the Iranian regime finds numerous ways to restrict travel, for instance by preventing other family members from leaving the country simultaneously. It is also a fact that in the Iranian passport it is written "Valid for all countries except the occupied Palestine", meaning Israel. Stop your propaganda, you are only embarrassing yourself.
46. To: Helene at No. 33
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.08.12)
The reality will be very different for Hoora. I fear for her safety anywhere in Iran.
47. To: No. 35
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (08.08.12)
Oh, shut up and take a trip to Israel before you make such ridiculous assertions. In Mea Shearim? Yes. Populated the way that neighborhood is with Neturei Karta and Satmer, who aren't Jews to begin with. But the rest of Jerusalem? Get a grip! Get an education! You are too ignorant for words! And when did you become an "expert" on Israeli society? You've never been within 10,000 miles of Israel, and you know it. Unfortunately for you -- so do the rest of us. So shut your ignorant, uninformed mouth.
48. My post #45 is to #34
