The man is entitled to his opinion although some secular studies are important there is some secular education that corrupts. Even if your not religious you cannot deny that dedicating that living a Torah lifestyle is one to be admired. I have a cousin in England he was accepted to Oxford University to study science. Everybody thought he was going to be the families biggest success story and would go on and do big things because he really is very intelligent. In the end he rejected his university acceptance and decided he wanted to go to yeshiva. Today he is not a wealthy man because he gave up the opportunity for a really good job by choosing yeshiva over university but he is content and one of the happiest people you could meet and he puts his happiness down to religion.
