I thought it had to do with the Corrie ten Boom story set in the Nazi-occupied Netherlands, and it was puzzling to see that now, so many years later, there seemed to be a lawsuit involved. Were Corrie's relatives being sued??? That didn't make any sense. I've seen the movie on television about five times and it's one of the best ones I've ever seen. It's rather old, and in the end Corrie, who was already about 90 years old, is shown and she says a few words.

Suppose an Israeli doesn't agree with America being in Afganistan. Suppose the Israeli goes to Afganistan, defies all signs and fences that would keep him/her out of the war zone, and throws themself in front of a bulldozer driven by an American soldier. Suppose the American soldier didn't see the Israel and runs him/her over. Would the Israeli's family be justified in suing America and the soldier? Doubt it.

The soldier was seriously injured yesterday in a combat exercise on the Golan Heights. When in a battle zone, whether in training or combat, your life is in danger. The ISM leadership knows this. After Corrie's death Thomas Saffold said "we’re like a peace army. Generals send young men and women off to operations, and some die." ISM a "peace group"? Gimme a break!
