31. American Jews Vote
Yak Fatzko ,   NY, USA   (09.05.12)
10% of American Jews are religious. They will vote 75% Republican because of their conservative values. 90% of American Jews are secular. They will vote 80% Democrat because of their values. The non-Orthodox don't really believe Iran is a threat. Since they are steeped in secular Western mind-think they don't really understand the concept of an enemy who cannot be bought off and cannot be talked out of their ideology. (Incredibly, many Leftist Israelis have the same issue!)
32. reality
Yak Fatzko ,   NY, USA   (09.05.12)
#19 Michael Pielet - You are largely correct, but the numbers work in favor of Obama: Religious Jews are only 10% of American Jews. Non-religious Jews will vote 80% for Obama. Support for Israel and identification with the Jewish people has declined dramatically.
33. To: No. 12
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (09.05.12)
If you hate Israel so much, why not pack your trash and leave? No one is keeping you here; just go, and take your stupid mouth with you.
34. A call for "American-Jew" to declare their loyality.
Choose   (09.05.12)
israel or America. Are you an American or a Jew who lives in America?
35. # 6 Get serious. Every year around this time
USA   (09.05.12)
israelis make a declaration, 3 times, that any vow, promise, oath is void and is not a promise, oath or vow.
36. #17. Obama has no achievements to run on.
Chaim ,   Israel   (09.05.12)
#17. No matter what issues you examine: Obama is a complete disaster. He does nothing but harm America. His campaign has no achievements to run on.
37. #1 Jarda
Masha ,   Boston, USA   (09.05.12)
And we should indeed vote for the candidate who is best for US. It just so happens that as far as Iran (and a few other problems) what's best for us is also best for Israel - and the other way around. At least that is many of us think.
38. Obama has not credability = red line means little
Red Liner   (09.05.12)
39. You in USA just thinking interest
Richard Grossman ,   Kfar Saba Israel   (09.05.12)
And that the problem !! The question are always interests the Iran question is not interesting in all case in any point of vue. As far as we can compare in the history pre emptive war are only solution to prevent much more global war
40. #18 george george george
israel israeli ,   tel aviv   (09.05.12)
What makes you think Obama will keep you out of the war? He has made the war inevitable, just at a terrible cost to America. Obama started two wars: with Libya and with Syria. Obama picked the worst possible strategy with Afghanistan, and lost two US allies: Pakistan and Egypt. He could have overthrown Ahmadinejad at no cost three years ago, but did not. Now tell me. Since Iran has no real interest in attacking Israel and if they did want to, they would not need nukes, why are they wasting their money and suffering international sanctions to develop them? Hint: does flight 655 say anything to you? does controlling Saudi oil reserves say anything to you?
41. Iran adn Israel and don't interest the American voter
Madeleine ,   Rehovot Israel   (09.05.12)
I watch Fox News regularly and whether Republicans or Democrats are interviewed, the topics that concern them all are first and foremost the state of the economy, broken down into homes, jobs, healthcare etc. Never once have I heard any interviewee mention anything outside of America's borders.
42. Tim # 25
Eaglebeak ,   Left Coast, USA   (09.05.12)
The U.S. and entire world media pimped for Obama last time and it didn't cause people to flock to McCain. If a fool is going to vote for Obama they don't need any other reason than the fact they are a fool.
43. Don't kid yourself - Obama won't Attack
Avi ,   USA   (09.05.12)
Obama has already been notified that the Jewish vote is not going to budge either way anymore regardless what he does. Therefore, he is now starting to follow his real agenda with the democratic platform. 67 borders including Jerusalem for the Palestinians. Obama is against Israel and always has been. I'm surprised that people like Schumer and Wasserman Schultz, are still followinf Obama's BS,
44. To @ 11 Gunnar, Sweden.
Jusanz77. ,   Vzla.   (09.05.12)
Gunnar, Gothenburg, Sweden I differ on your point of view. So far Obama has not been able to. Romney, if he becomes president, he may not want. Now in the end will be the same as it has always been since 1948 until today, Israel will have to do the dirty work to others and resolve the problem, as in Iraq and Syria. Nothing new under the sun. What we hope is that when that happens, do not appear eternal whiners like you say, Israel is bad, it did not allow Iran wiped off the map. Greetings.
45. Iran
Nelson ,   Roanoke USA   (09.05.12)
I'm Moshiach..I'm running as a write in candidate for President of USA..I will not hesitate to stop Iran the first day in office..Hashem told me to run,I suppose it was to help Israel with this conflict and all others..Vote Nelson Keyton for President Nov.6..I will also run in Israeli politics, but we know what I will eventually be to Israel..A vote against me is a vote against Hashem..
46. Question ONLY for Israelis
Belinda ,   Texas, USA   (09.05.12)
Does it make a difference in your daily lives, living in Israel, when there is a democrat in the White House? Republican in the White House? If so, in what ways?
47. It is NOT the job of hte US to confront Iran
spyguy ,   seattle usa   (09.05.12)
The US is NOT the world's policeman. The US should only do what is best for the US and quite frankly, Iran is NOT a problem for he US. The US has far, far bigger problems than Iran to worry about, like high unemployment, very large debt, a crumbling infrastructure and many other things. Iran dos NOT make the list most Americans have in their head, in fact over 60% of Americans are AGAINST any confrontation with Iran that leads to war.
48. election reality
michael Pielet ,   israel   (09.05.12)
Yak, fortunately my numbers are correct and yours are wrong. There are 750,000 to !,000,000 religious and Israel identifying Jews in the United States. Romney will receive 90% of there vote. Due to assimilation, intermarriage etc. there are only 2 to 3 million secular, incidental Jews in the United States, at the present. 40% of those Jews primarily for economic reasons will vote for Romney. You do the math. In the worst scenario, Romney will receive 50% of the jewish vote.
49. current reality
michael Pielet ,   israel   (09.05.12)
Obama is going to lose the election. Why, because of the economy. Israel is not the issue. The only reasons Obama was elected President were, black skin, can read from a teleprompter, weak U.S. economy in 2008, and McCain a weak opponent. Obama does not have a record to run on. Obama, personally has never accomplished anything in his life. Obama will go back to doing what he does best, community organizer on the south side of chicago.
50. To: No. 45
Sarah B ,   U.S.a. / Israel   (09.05.12)
Your post is not at all amusing. In fact, it is vile and obnoxious, and quite offensive to Jewish people.
51. Modified Sampson
Armageddon   (09.05.12)
There always the option of clearing Israel of Jews and Arabs by safe emigration and sowing thermonuclear devises no one willoccupy the holy land for a specified time it will lie fallow
52. Vote Rommey
Greg ,   San Antonio USA   (09.05.12)
If your Blind and can see that Obama is Anti-Israe then I will only say if Obama gets realected then all I can say GOD be with Israel and the World and if you support Obama then you are a FOOL.
53. Red line for Iran, Israel, no WMDs, Democracy in Palestine
Steven Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (09.06.12)
54. Vote for the President who supports HealthCare for all
M.Roy ,   San Francisco   (09.06.12)
Americans should vote for the President and Party who is committed to providing affordable health, medical care and retirement income security (if/when they need it) - if these benefits are provided by almost all Western countries (including Israel) - why should Americans suffer with little or no social safety net?
55. No Sorry - You Missed the Boat
US listener ,   USA   (09.06.12)
Optimistic thinking on your part. Some folks in US are aware of Iranian threat. But maybe only 5-15% favor proactive solution by Israel. Most people are much more concerned by the economic recession in the USA, the high unemployment, the spiralling gov't debt, and the political stalemate in Washington. To tell you the truth - this is a terrible time for Israel to be hoping for strong US support for an attack on Iran. Without very strong advocacy from the President of the Unted States, public support by Americans is like yo to be weak or nonexistent.
56. Iran's threat
Henry ,   Cavite, Philippines   (09.06.12)
Have faith Israel. Iran is just another instrument to make you believe in the son of God, our Messiah. Continue ignoring Yeshua and the Iranian threat will continue. The window of opportunity to accept Yeshua is fast closing. Your stubborness has caused you lot's of miseries. Now is the time. Do it now or face another holocaust. Christians love you.
57. 13# Sad to say...but probably.. absolutely true.
Steven Wilson ,   Anchorage, Alaska   (09.06.12)
What would most of them want before being invaded and enslaved in the United States...AS Well as Israel............. An autographed copy of President Obama to hang on their new prison cell wall. When you can't see the cliff in front of your feet......then who can save you from yourself???? Be very careful which bus you take.....or throw yourself under with your vote.
58. Small vital steps
Hussain Fahhad Najm ,   Kufa, Iraq   (09.06.12)
Et the. World help the Syrians cick the Iran out and keep their state intact , so they can help the Lebanese to break Hizballah monopoly on weapean , and Iran will be weakned by 40% . The economic sanctions will damage norther 40 % , intelligence and selective killings will take care of 10 % , Diplomacy and misinformation , and the threat on their influnce in Iraq, and Afghanistan Will take other 10 %.
59. Your quote about:
SD Charger ,   San Diego   (09.06.12)
"Clearly, this time, the Jewish American vote must go to the candidate most capable of confronting this grave threat." I would like to know what happened last time? Sen. John McCain would have been the toughest on Iran and you didn't vote him in last election? The Jewish vote is HUGE in America, whether you believe it or not. Most are Democrats too. You have seen where Obama stands with israel, in fact, it is a trending topic on Twitter about him REMOVING G-d, Jerusalem and Israel from his speech. Now that it has backfired, I'm sure he will mention them tonight, go figure. Just so you know, it was the Conservative Christian Right - Republican's who have brought this matter to the attention of American's on Twitter, who truly care about G-d, Jerusalem and Israel. If we didn't, it would have been a moot point. We can elect a leader who will actually lead vs Iran, or elect the same guy who thinks YOU are not worthy to be included in his speech. The choice is yours and I hope we are not writing about the same quote mentioned above in another 4 years. Romney-Ryan 2012 and have YOUR voice heard in America. Thank you.
60. Romney vague???
Dennis Wright ,   Greenwood, USA   (09.06.12)
You think Romney's comments towards Israel are vague??? Obama's doesn't recognize Jerusalem as Israel's capital, and omitted it from his campaign's platform. Only political pressure made them add it back. Duhhhhh, Romney is far more supportive towards Israel than Obama.
