The United States does not permit client states like Israel to determine when it will go to war. Should Netanyahu attack Iran and find that he's bitten off more war than he can chew, the sacrifice of young Americans to save Israel from a war it started against American advice would change the relationship forever, and not to Israel's advantage. The U.S. will deal with the thugs in Tehran as it chooses, not when and how the messianic prime minister of Israel demands.
