The two state solution is dead I doubt it was anything but the dreams of a handful of individuals. What we must not do though is officially kill it. As long as there is at least an illusion that there can be two states its what the world will push for. If we go on the record and say two state is over then the entire world, Israel's left and the US included will demand we give all the arabs citizenship and create a binational state rather than two state idea. This is also why we must never adopt Levy because once we annex Judea & Samaria we annex the millions of arabs living there. We also cannot talk about Jordan being the palestinian state because we do not rule Jordan and if Abdullah says we will not give citizenship to the arabs in Judea & Samaria we cannot force them to anymore than Jordan can force us to take them. The game changer may be if Abdullah is the next victim of the arab winter because 80% of Jordan's population describe themselves as palestinians. For now though we must at least talk about the two state must at least be the solution we are working for.
37. TO NR.''S 6 AND 8.
SJOERD VAN DER VELDE ,   HOORN NH, HOLLAND   (10.27.12)
YOU ARE RIGHT. THE EXISTENCE OF ISRAEL IS NOT NEGOCIABLE. IT IS A RIGHT AND A FACT, PERIOD.
38. Land Swaps and Demilitirization
Zivron   (10.27.12)
Land swaps and a Demilitirized Palestinian State in the Areas of the 1967 June 4 borders are still an option if not now in the future the Arabs are our cousins and humanitarian Islam and humanitarian Judaism can coexist. There will be ego battles There is Mediation.

40. To 17, Gabriel
Luiz F Haddad ,   Niteroi, Brazil   (10.27.12)
As a true friend of Israel, I do support your comment. A single-State is the worst solution, like you explained and detailed very well. But, for ending the "puzzle", for having their State, Arab Palestines must recognize and respect their neighbor. You, Israelis, have to fell yourselves secure. Then, radical positions will be diminished. Salutes.

wrapped the dead would not cmment paradise
42. It was always a 3 state solution, at best
progressoverpeace ,   Philadelphia, USA   (10.28.12)
The idea that there was EVER going to be one palestinian state is a total joke that no one with a brain ever bought. The West bank and Gaza were always going to be 2 separate states and if there were any idiotic connection made between them it would just be used to threaten Israel from each of the separate, violent, belligerent states. I get sick every time I hear someone even claim a "2 state solution" when that is so obviously a joke and always was. Perhaps only 2 states after Israel was destroyed but it would be nothing less than 3 separate states if Israel managed to hold onto its increasingly precarious position.
43. Arab-Israeli Peace
Henry ,   Cavite, Philippines   (10.28.12)
The Arabs and now Iran and Russia are instruments of the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to give Israel a lesson - the final lesson. There will be a great war coming to the region and many will die from all sides. The world will be in chaos. There is no stopping this event.
44. Two State..
Ernie P. ,   Inukjuak   (10.29.12)
Two state were already solved by God himself. He said Judah and Israel would become one state and that has happened already. God never said Israel would be divided and given to jews and arabs. What God planned cannot be changed by human, thus Arafat never approve the plan for division. Without realizing Arafat was instrument of God and refused the offer..
45. Two State Solution
Cam ,   Australia   (04.01.16)
The article is biased and whilst it dies contain some facts that are accurate, it is sullied by the opinion. The fact that Rabin was able to negotiate an agreement was a move in the right direction. Palestine has made some mistakes regarding a peaceful settlement to the ongoing Israeli/Palestinian conflict but it is Israel that needs to lead the way towards another attempt to negotiate. Netanyahu and the Lukid party are not willing to recognise Palestine and the fact that they are not willing to negotiate is shameful. The solution is to replace Netanyahu and Lukid with Herzog and Livni and the Zionist Union party. The right wing ideologies will not bring about peace and whilst there are some complex issues to this conflict between the two states, such as, and not limited to Jerusalem, Gaza and the West Bank, there are effective sustainable solutions that can be found. It just takes Israel citizens to bring about change in their government. Peace in the Middle East starts with a Two State Solution. There is no argument against this as they are off the table.
