61. The Jews and Israel
Roger DeLong ,   Winter Haven FL USA   (11.01.12)
The connection between all Jews and Israel is neither complicated nor abstruse. If an ethnic Jew rejects an absolute connection between all ethnic Jews and Israel, that ethnic Jew ignores 5,000 years of persecution of his/her ancestors, and rejects in absolute terms the idea that the Jews deserve a homeland that does not persecute Jews. Further, it is not the Jews of Israel who reject the idea of Arabs and Islam in the middle-east. That rejection is all from one side... with the Arabs in the middle-east insisting that the Jews have no place of their own in the middle-east and can only remain in the remain if they accept absolute control of Islam. I can imagine an Arab objecting to a homeland for the Jews, but I am left outraged by the self-loathing Jew who objects to Israel and the survival of the Jews as a people. The Jewish vote has everything to do with the issue of Israel and her survival in the middle-east. To ignore that is to ignore the fact that the Pan-Arab vote is an absolute bloc. When there are no Jews left to be proud of Israel, will be the days that Jews outside of Israel look around their own world and realize how quicksilver is their own security, given nations always need a scapegoat to blame for their troubles, and before Israel every nation could quickly find the Jews to be that necessary scapegoat.
62. #15 kobi - problem
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.01.12)
They will never leave you/us alone. They don't accept Jews there, and have said so. They want to kill us, and have said so. Listen to them. They tell the truth.
63. #61. Roger:The power of ideology
Tom W ,   USA   (11.02.12)
Ever since Marx penned his essay "On the Jewish Question 1843" a large segment of the Marxist Jews conjured up an Utopian World in which the "universal common good" will have to replace the evil that walks the earth. Religion, ethnicity, tradition, historical culture, nation states etc. are the bane of mankind according to them. The are the chief promoters of "multikultism", "diversity", moral relativism, and Israel represents all what they don't like: religion, ethnic pride, nationalism and reverence of tradition. I as an ex-E. European I am very much conscious of the overriding power of ideology because all the craze started in the East.
64. #1 Shlomo, Israeli actions keep you alive as a Jew
Jorge   (11.02.12)
If what you call Israeli actions would not be carried out, even American Jews, would be under threat of massive antisemitism, US Jews live in a make beleive world of luxury and security ignoring what the "real" world is for Jews in other countries, but your security and cokines comes from the existence and determination of Israel to face its enemies, unfortunately even from whitin like yourself, Israel will survive inspite of the likes of you,

68. I'm a Dem and Proud of Israel Silly 42
Dina ,   NYC, USA   (11.02.12)
Pure nonsense. Historically, Jewish Dems have always been proud of Israel. A person who votes republican is avaricious. How much money do they need? They use Israel. It is about deregulation of Wall Street to give license to rob the middle class and poor,. Shame on you for voting Republican!!
69. ##55. Getting rid of Bibi? Are you Stalin?
Tom W ,   USA   (11.02.12)
Bibi was and will be reelected by Israelis democratically. Are you rooting for Stalin who purged anybody he disliked? The gulags were full of decent people who were simply "gotten rid of" by the strong man. Your way of thinking about eliminating people with one bold stroke speaks volume. On can assume you love Obmao's.
70. No Way
Aryeh ,   NY   (11.02.12)
Yes, there are Jews like the ones about which he wrote, but the majority of us are proud to be Jews who support Israel. I'm a registered democrat but voting for Romney (or against Obama).
71. Jew Ashamed of Israel Article
Ralph Rosenfeld ,   Sun City West   (11.02.12)
Regardless of what they say, Israelis and American Jews are ambivilent about settling an agreement with the Arabs. It is obvious that the Palestinian people are either unable or refuse to elect leadership that will sit down and negotiate. The Palestinians keep floundering with wrong answers . It's up to Israel to create new acceptable peace initiatives. Israel has the advantage, power, position, and drive to resolve this issue. The shame is not in what Israel has done but in what it is not doing to rapidly resolve the peace question. The world waits for Israel's answers.
72. His shame is against G-d.
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (11.02.12)
This 'professional Jew' lacks the understanding of the Torah. Israel is a gift from our G-d who also dwells in Zion. Who cares what he thinks? He can't vote in Israel's elections and is therefore moot.
73. Pardon me but, what a putz!
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (11.02.12)
It's akin to him studying nazism and becoming one in the process. Rabbi of what? Why bother to give this misfit a platform??
74. # 24 Does that include the Democratic committee
Bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (11.02.12)
of "palestinian Committee"? Or, "arabs for obama'? New ones to the 'democratic convention, pals and arabs who were never there before now attend, and scream at the mention of the name of G-d in the Democratic's platform. Religion?? Which 'religion'? The one which values life or, the one that values death?
75. # 26 Jouko, Finland worse yet,
bad Assed Jew ,   United States   (11.02.12)
obama has turned his bible reading over to a 'rev. Jeremiah Wright who to my knowledge, is the only one ever to damn America in G-ds name, making him the only one who breaks one of the Commandments from G-d, blasphemy. "Thou shalt not take the name of thy G-d in vain." This is religion or, a branch of "Nation of islam"? He certainly is not a "Christian "
76. #71 ralph
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.02.12)
Read my post #62. The world has already seen Israel’s efforts; delivering food to those who want to destroy it, releasing murderers as goodwill gestures, ready to sit down and talk, etc. The world has also seen the arabs answers. Both you and Kobi seem very hard of hearing.
77. Its the company you keep

JEW CAUGHT IN STORM ,   NJUSA   (11.03.12)
79. Jewish and ashamed of Israel
Truthseeker ,   USA   (11.07.12)
As an 81 year old I am proud of my Jewish heritage but deeply ashamed of the country that says it is my "homeland." I was born in the US and this is my homeland. There was a time when I was proud of what Jews had accomplished in the Holy Land but that pride has gone away as I read daily what the Israelis have done to the Palestinians. It sickens me that our people, once oppressed, have turned into oppressors of another people. Maybe some of you think that is great and that it is fine if Jews become oppressors but I think in the end it is bad for us and bad for our victims. BTW, it is long past time that AIPAC was forced to register as agents of a foreign power. They are not working for America, They are working only for Israel.
80. People can say what they want
Matt   (11.07.12)
You have 8 years to do what you want, to be the power, then it is taken. The last year after having knowing it going to be taken, scary, control the world to control nothing. The fun is just starting, 4 year is short.
