It is only because of the media's biased one-sided reporting that the Hamas terrorists have any traction at all. Media portrays a "tit-for-tat" equality, instead of contantly stressing the random Hamas attacks against civilians and Israel's precision strikes against weapons and military targets. And the death toll is always just "Palestinian" with no mention that half to two-thirds have been combatants. Hundreds of Hamas terror missiles have resulted in few Israeli casualties because of effective civil defense and Iron Dome. Many hundreds of successful Israeli strikes resulted in relatively few Palestinian civilian casualties because of the extraodinary care and accuracy of the IDF. But the media much prefers playing up the human shields that Hamas holds up to sacrifice.

Israel is extremely powerful, has a very good economy, and a high tourist trade. and since 1948 the "palestinans" have....brought themselves more destruction, allowed their Arab brethren to force them into refugee camps in the hopes of one day destroying Israel, and allowing terrorists to place rockets right next to their own kids. You need UN aid to get education and employment. You need an "enemy" to blame and take your minds off your own responsibilities. Your own "export" is terrorism and a narrative based on a fake history, and you still claim Israel blockades Gaza when Gazans are over-weight and Egypt left the backdoor open. AreYOU sure you're able to survive in the region?

Hamas are honest terrorists. They are genocidists and don't pretend to be anything else. Abbas, on the other hand, is a dishonest genocidist. Abbas and the P.A. have the same goals as Hamas but they use slightly different tactics. Abbas is a much more dangerous enemy than Hamas.

Today I took my mother for service on her hearing aid in Kiryat Bialik and the Audiologist was an Arab. I went to a Home Repair Store in Haifa and the wonderful guy who helped me was also an Arab and we have been friends for years. I also took my mother to the Health Care Center Kupat Holim Zevulun and both Arabs and Israeli medical staff work together to care for ALL patients regardless of religion or other factors. You can see this over and over in one store after another in Haifa, Krayot, Akko, and other cities in this area. We live together in TRUE PEACE AND PROSPERITY but this never makes the headlines. If only HAMAS knew what they could have if only they were not obsessed with our destruction. But every terrorist action ends with a counter-terrorist measure and the quality of life (if there is any) only continues to get worse. There are not options left.

When has the NY Times not been hostile to Israel? The real solution would be to give Gaza back to Egypt. Israel tried to return Gaza to Egypt when negotiating the peace treaty, but Egypt refused to accept Gaza. Let the Arab League and the UN consider it. Hamas is linked to Iran, who want a port on the Mediterranean. The Arabs and the EU do NOT want an Iranian port on the Med.

The media taking this position have always reported on how bad actions taken by Israel are for Israel. They thought the west bank barrier would never work, but it did. They felt then operation against the WB in 2002 would fail, but it did not. They insist Israel lost in Lebanon in 2006, but we see Hezbollah sitting on their hands. Publications like the NYT, in the end, want to see Israel defenseless and terminated. They would object to such a characterization, but their advice would always lead to that result.
