Adam, this is not correct. Winston Churchill did want to bomb the death camps. It was Arthur "Bomber" Harris, commander of the RAF who refused to endanger British pilots lives for the sake of the Jews. The IG Farben factories at Auschwitz were bombed on several occasions. His rational for not bombing the train lines and stations at the death camps was that the German war machine was expending close to 20% of its resources on moving the Holocaust victims to the camps - an incredible waste for the German army, and an important factor for Allied victory in the Eastern front.

It's good to remember the historical injustices done to the Jewish people by the British, for once. The UK is not Israel's friend. Do not trust them. And don not trust the US, either. When the going gets tough, Americans abandon their allies. Remember Saigon!

If you would read some history instead of propaganda, you would know a thing or two about the Romans, the Turks & Brits and their role in the Middle East, the Jewish centuries old claims to the lands of Israel and their eviction from them by the parties mentioned above (and others) and about the ''Palestinians" who exist only since Arafat/Carter decided to make them a 'People with a history & land'.

I'm British though living in Israel for nearly 45 years. I have not one iota of pide inthe land of my birth. The Brits have been pigs in every part of the world they occupied - East Africa, India, to name but a few. They treated the indiginous population like sh*t , and have no better record than what you claim for the Stern and Irgun. British policy was then and still is to support the Arabs not the Jews. Never mind, Britain, with its new capital Londonistan, will soon be under sharia law. You are now to weak and cowardly to stand up for your fast-disappearing rights.

I am grateful for this information. It is important to know where the responsibility for the Holocaust really lies since I was under the misapprehension that the Nazis might have had something to do with it.

For the record: let us not forget that FDR also refused to bomb the tracks or the extermination camps. And the US could have made more of a difference than England.

Britain made a mess in ME by creating states according to her colonial interests, e.g. Trans-Jordan. White Paper of 1939 restricted Jews to settle in Land of Israel. Britain was direct helper to Nazi during Holocaust by preventing Jews to find a shelter in Palestine and not acting to destroy Nazi genocide machine. After the WW2 UK continued this policy and placed Jewish refugees to concentration camps on Cyprus, turned back ships with refugees, murdering Jews in Palestine etc. In our days Britons are actively acting against Israelis supporting and commiting act of terror in Tel Aviv Mikes Place bombing (2003), Mumbai attack (2008) to name a few
