1. :"trivial and answering is tiresome" is an excuse 2. The name selected was NOT Palestine but Israel- end of story. 3. The "Pals" had always insisted they are NOT "Palestinian", and changed their minds for political reasons, which they have admitted. If Putin would enter a meeting with the UK and say he is Chinese, what would the reception be? A new name does not ascribe made-up history or possession.

1. If you raise a specific question that has conceivable relevance and that has not already been hashed out a hundred times before,I will answer it 2. The Mandate repeatedly refer to "the state" and specifically to granting Jewish immigrants "Palestinian citizenship." It was only after the land was partitioned that Israel got to pick it's own name for its part. 3. Denying that Palestinian Arabs have resided here and in the territories for centuries is as ignorant and offensive as holocaust denial. Congratulations, you have become what you claim your enemy is.

Since 673, yes. Since a few thousand years before, no. Arabs didn't care about a "Palestinian state" before Israel came into being. They cared so much for Jerusalem that it was a backwater town by the time the Jordanians were in control. "Palestinian citizenship" would have been difficult, as there never was a country by that name. (And speaking of not discussing a question that has been hashed out hundreds if times before...methinks you are a wonderful example.) To say you want a country is one thing. But to say you want to be rid of the country and people who came before you and who never lost a connection to the area, is another. Peace.
