The police have not spoken to the guy who was beaten. The people who called in only saw that the guy was beaten. They did not claim to hear the attackers say anything. Ora...I, as you, spend a lot of time here defending the Charedim and trying to educate people, but in this case, if this story is true, these bums need to be found and punished severely. "Modesty Police" have no place in any society. If I saw this happening in person, I would love these losers to start with me. Again, I defend the Charedi community every day from misconceptions and baseless hatred from the left and secular, but fanatics like this should be imprisoned for years, and their Rabbis and community leaders should speak out loud and clear that this is forbidden. Most Charedim I know are the kindest, sweetest, generous and humble people I have ever met, The entire Charedi community needs to join forces to clean itself of these criminals so people know that this is not the norm for a true Charedi person.
