61. UN EU
Jarvis ,   Joseph USA   (08.25.13)
The spoils of war. Who returns them? Especially when the Israeli reaction was purely retaliatory. The UN is biased toward the state of Israel. The EU has its own aspirations for the land. This is not apartheid; this is open war. These are armed guerrillas not unarmed protestors, and there is no peace. A state within a state will not work. The brave settlers are a buffer zone between the Palestinians and the Israelis. To return to 1967 lines is a threat to Israeli security. I suggest you tell the energy starved EU to keep its offerings. Besides, settlers will never live under a Palestinian flag. The Israelis and Palestinians should tell the EU and the UN to butt out. Those lines are nether realistic for the Israelis or the Palestinians. Think of a different solution there is no peace with radical Islam.
62. #33..I do :-)
Beary White ,   Norway   (08.25.13)
..and in addition every product from islamic countries. I am NOT supportive to their cult and ideology. Looks like the "peace-religion"!!! just works when killing other people is their first priority. That's what they also teach in Islamic schools for kids, kill infidels, which Norway supports with money without conditions. Just read the remark from Norwegian State Secretary, Torgeir Larsen, regarding the funding of incitements and anti-Semitism in a book Deception, which the leftist government is fully aware of: "There are examples in the book (PMW's Deception) that clearly express hatred. There are also examples of Antisemitism... ::
63. #48 Last thing you checked, Kowalsky,
A ,   Belgium   (08.25.13)
was if your panties were turned the right direction. From the Declaration of Israels' Independence, Tel Aviv 1948: "HEREBY PROCLAIM the establishment of the Jewish State in Palestine, to be called ISRAEL" Read it good, polakius, ignoramius, JEWISH STATE. Is that clear enough for you?
64. #55 Get YOUR facts straight, Kowalsky
A ,   Belgium   (08.25.13)
To quote president Truman of the US: ""The question of Palestine as a Jewish homeland goes back to the solemn promise that had been made to them [the Jews] by the British in the Balfour Declaration of 1917 ". Is that clear enough for you, Kowalsky? No mention of arabs, polaks, or other lower forms of humanity...JEWISH HOMELAND. Now sholdn't you be checking on a stopped up toilet somewhere?
65. Sarah B, Tel Aviv/London.
David Clarke ,   Liverpool, England   (08.25.13)
You are absolutely right Sarah B of Tel Aviv/London, Europe fully supports Israels right to exist within its legal borders. What Europe and Europeans like ourselves cannot tolerate from a political and moral point of view is continued occupation, colonization and land theft of Palestinian land by a state subsidized minority elite of right wing extremeists and religious fanatics who choose to purposely live outside Israels borders at the expense of the decent majority of Israelis who choose to live within Israels borders and who have to pay the financial and social costs for the worlds resentment and Palestinian resentment at the intansigence, continued occupation and land theft by religious fanatics and right wing extremeists. The Settler fanatics are cut from the same cloth as Al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Christian fundamentalists in the United States, they thrive off perpetual conflict and war between Israelis and Palestinians.
66. Nr 55 split - You forgot your medication again!
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (08.25.13)
Oh, poor stupid split...it's not your fault that you belong to a retarded under developed backward Slavonic Eastern European people that is suffering from an irreversible demographic decline and collapse and will sooner or later face extinction or something very close to it. Let's cheer up this sad Polack: Jeszcze Polska nie zginela ale jeszcze nie za pó'zno! Amen!
67. # 63 ,...
split ,   US   (08.25.13)
You can proclaim whatever you like it counts what is accepted and recognised by other nations ,... By the way, google "face transplant Poland" you may qualify for a whole head transplant ,...
68. #26 EU Sheep
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.25.13)
These EU members are obviously not concerned about the Palestinians who work and buy products from the settlements. Just like your post and pseudo conscience have nothing to do with the Palestinians but everything to do with punishing Israel for existing. It's these poor decisions that have bankrupted the EU. Fortunately, Israel's business partners are diverse and not dependent on the EU. As other posters have stated, we need to pay closer attention to labels on products sold in the US and give priority to Made in the US and Israel.
69. A, Belgium.
David Clarke ,   Liverpool, England   (08.25.13)
The very fact that you cannot refute Rachels argument without decending into racist bile and hate is bad enough but the fact that you are using a disgusting and racist word for polish people and referring to them and Arabs as sub-human shows you for what you truly are, a sad bitter human being consumed by racist hate of the other. Only Nazis ever referred to other human beings as sub human, the fact that you refer to other races of people as sub-human shows that you are cut from the same cloth. Oh and FYI the basic law of the State of Israel and the declaration of independence of the State of Israel pledges citizenship and equality to all its citizens, not just to 6 million Jews but also to the 2 million Christian and Muslim Palestinians, Druze, Circassians and Maronites that call Israel home, its their state as well and they are Israelis, equal under the law and they always will be, Israel is Jewish and democratic and will never be the racist ethnically pure theocracy you and your racist ilk dream about.
70. #68 Cynthia
Sarah B ,   Tel Aviv/London   (08.25.13)
Neither are you. Otherwise you would be loudly proclaiming that Israel give full rights for all people in the occupied territories
71. #60 Europe grasped by the b***ls by moslems::
A ,   Belgium   (08.25.13)
90% (Merkel is exempt, but she still has more than most European leaders)
72. #42 Of course I can't explain them
Samuel ,   Melbourne   (08.26.13)
As I've said, they are illegitimate. I do sympathise with you, but the line really does need to be drawn somewhere. Otherwise, we would still have countries invading and forcibly claiming land like in the days of the empires.
73. to 70
john Darren ,   cairns-Austraalia   (08.26.13)
Why give equal rights to squatter Arabs? We do enough for them-aid, free treatment in hospitals, etc etc
74. #36 not sure if ill-informed or deceptive
Samuel ,   Melbourne   (08.26.13)
The petition of 1,100 was NOT regarding Israel's right to their occupation of the West Bank. It was a petition to rescind the EUs funding ban on settlements. Furthermore. these 1,100 were not 'international law experts'. Many Rabbis signed it.
75. #70 They have full rights
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.26.13)
Israeli citizens have full rights accorded to them by Israel. Palestinians have full rights accorded to them by the Palestinian Authority. While you sit on your European tuffet, Israel has done more for the Palestinians than any European country. A boycott of the settlements will only harm the Palestinians. Another misguided effort by the EU.
76. #72, #42 The "they did it too!" argument
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (08.26.13)
Samuel, there is a simple reason why aside from condemnation and a few sanctions, the world has not focused more attention on land seizures and conflicts in, say, Cypress or Tibet. When is the last time a Tibetan monk or Greek Cypriot set off a bomb or otherwise threatened a Western city in order to draw attention to its grievances? Jihadists use the Palestinian-Israeli conflict as an excuse for their religious war against the world. The West needs to strip away that cloak in order to deal more effectively with Islamic terrorism.
77. #75 Boycotts effective non-violent action
On the Balcony ,   Akko/NY/Kyiv   (08.26.13)
If, as you claim, the Palestinians are the only one's harmed by the EU boycotts, why is Israel so upset about them? Surely you realize that the increasing threat of such actions by the West is the primary reason for the current negotiations?
78. #76 Absolutely
Samuel ,   Melbourne   (08.26.13)
I agree with that. Islam is a barbaric religion. But also, you have 10+ million territorially affected by the Israel/Palestine conflict. And many of these people are religious extremists who base their claims upon the promises of a deity. There are many reasons that people are more concerned with the Israel/Palestine conflict.
79. #77 Boycotts not proved effective
Cynthia ,   USA   (08.26.13)
The Israelis must determine their own destiny and make agreements that are in the best interest of Israel. You've pointed out the purpose of the EU boycott is to harm, pressure Israel and push the EU agenda. The main effect of these boycott threats has been to prompt Israel to diversify and expand their business relationships. Since the EU is going bankrupt, this was a timely move.
