1. Consternation? Not true.
Aviela ,   Migron RC, Israel   (08.27.13)
It is not a requirement that kids hate school. I am very lucky to have six children, grades Gan Hovah through 12, who are THRILLED to be back in school. They love nearly every day and they love learning, thanks to the top-notch, motivated staff that we have almost every single year. A huge thanks and appreciation to all our teachers!
2. And most of them are jabbed and stabbed with vaccines to
Rivkah   (08.27.13)
dumb them down and make them sickly. Ban vaccines! Protect the children from vaccines!
3. are the parents happy?

we cut summer vacation by 5 whole days. whoo, what a huge difference...
4. How many are Hareidim?
Scarborough1414 ,   Scarborough, ON, CA   (08.27.13)
Here's what we need to know: How many of these students are Hareidim, going to school in Jewish madrassas learning a lot of nothing, guaranteed to keep them out of the job market? Then when they have no marketable skills down the road, they'll march in their thousands down the streets of Jerusalem demanding more money from the treasury so they can suck at the public teat some more. Not only that, but how many of these students are Arabs, either Palestinians or "Israeli Arabs" (a contradiction in terms if you ask me) who go to school in private schools that teach them nothing but hate and a desire for martyrdom (when they win, what will they do for a target)? Bad enough that we've got Syria threatening to attack us, we've got two fifth columns at home, the Hareidim who want to turn Israel into a 16th cent. ghetto with the rest of us picking up the tab, and the Arabs within who want send us all out of the country so they can say, "it took us a while, but we won and the Jews lost". Their quality of life will drop precipitously, but saving face is worth it even if they all have to live in grass huts. What a country. You're lucky I'm not PM of Israel. I would kick Hareidi butt and the Arabs who act up would be imprisoned or exiled. When will get a REAL man in charge? Bibi has to show some backbone and grow a ***** (you know what I mean). I dare any of the leftist pantywaists out there to prove me wrong!
5. Evil occupation
(08.27.13)
This story tells you all you need to know about the evil occupation. Of the 2,129,562 kids, about 400,000 are Arab children. These Arab children (girls and boys) will go to school, learn to read and write, eat lunch and go home. Unlike their bretheren in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Libya, Yemen and Saudi Arabia, none of these children will be chopped to pieces, raped, kidnapped, murdered, starved or beaten on the way to and from school, they will not learn how to murder other people and at the end of the day, they will come back home and their house and family will be intact. In fact, their greatest danger is that a heroic freedom fighter will shoot a rocket from Sinai, Lebanon or Syria and kill them or their families.
6. To Rivkah
Valerie ,   Israel   (08.27.13)
If it wasn't for vaccines over the last 50 to 60 years, many children would no longer be with us having succumbed to dangerous and horrible childhood diseases. Vaccines save lives. And anyway what have vaccines got to do with the number of children going back to school?
7. kids happy
Tamar ,   Raanana   (08.27.13)
I agree with Aviela - My kids also love school and were literally running in today. Despite people's groanings, there are many excellent schools with excellent teachers and the kids LOVE school. On another note, I also agree that vaccinations SAVES lives and hope parents all have their children upto date with their vaccines.
8. Banning Vaccines is foolish
RivkahDisbeliever ,   Tel Aviv   (08.27.13)
Rivkah, if you had a basic understanding of biology and epidemiology, you would understand that your ability to say that is directly based upon the fact that previous generations were vaccinated and survived. Anti-vaccine rhetoric is absolutely damaging, incredibly short-sighted and frankly, one of the dumbest things I have ever come across. It's up there with thinking math isn't cool and that failing in life is a great idea.
9. to the israeli kids-study hard and have fun. we love you.

population, not to save lives or prevent diseases. You need to read some more to learn what is being done to children by brainwashing parents into submission.
11. RivkahDisbeliever 98% of these kids have already been vaccin
miki ,   tampa   (08.27.13)
ated. Why stick them with a dangerous and unproven "weakened" disease that is not approved even at Hadassah? Who is pushing hardest? 5 doctors with direct connections to the company producing the vaccinations. Why is this vaccine not approved in America? Sure use the Jews to test it out.

Who stops the non -Haredim and the non-Pilistim to encrease their natality and ignore the others ?
