Even if Israel one day finds peace, God willing, I would still strongly oppose nuclear disarmament. Nuclear bombs give you more power and prestige, and force the world to take you seriously.

It isn't just deterrence against Iran, it is deterrence against every one of its neighbours. It's a lot more daunting of a prospect to launch another intifada when facing the potential for nuclear annihilation in the event they succeed (if they win, they still lose a great deal). Maybe there will come a day when Israel's enemies won't care. That day will certainly come sooner if Israel disarmed and abandoned its nuclear weapons. America cannot be relied upon to shield Israel.
