It has been pointed out to me that by the time US aid arrived, Israel had already achieved most of its goal. You close your eyes to reality, but "don't want to admit that fact though.

“Regardless of the outcome in the field”?! Egypt wanted to wipe Israel off the map, with the help of Syria. They failed. A costly victory for Israel, yes, but a victory nonetheless.

1. Israel won in ’67 because they had a plan and trained long and hard for it. 2. There was no diplomacy as the arabs refused to talk to Israel. 3. Not all posts were destroyed. Many Israeli soldiers were withdrawn from their posts during the fighting, and at least one held out. 4. "15-miles" into Sinai is "deep"? Even when you were pushed back two days later? The goal was to destroy Israel with the help of Syria and contingents from Iraq and Jordan. You failed...again. 5. It has been pointed out to me that by the time US aid arrived, Israel had already achieved most of its goals. 6. Egypt, Syria, Iraq, and Jordan attacked Israel, three of which had modern Soviet equipment and training (Jordan had US equipment). Israel found the gap as a result of its own reconnaisance. 7. Sadat was not fighting the US, but Israel. He lost, even with three other active combatant supporters and other logistics supporters, and Russian weapons and training. Your post is total denial of reality, which is the main cause of war in that region continuing. Read some history and grow up.

J.K. ,   Brooklyn USA   (09.19.13)
the yom kippur war, wars are not measured by how much land was taken or how many enemy soldiers were killed or captured,a war is won, if the objective was achived,in this case,Egypt won big, despite the big losses in lives, using the chinese tactic, sending vave after vave of soldiers to their certain death, to attack Israeli positions,i don't believe that Sadat vent to war in order to destroy Israel,Sadat had 1 goal in mind,to get back the Sinai, the morning of Yom Kippur,Sadat called Kissinger, telling him that Egypt is ready to change trains, and join the west,Kissinger, the master of "Realpolitic "realised the opurtunity of dislodging Egypt from the Soviets, started to withold vital supplies to Israel, till President Nikson gave the famous order, send everything that flies, which changed the conditions on the battle field ,but not the politics of the situation,as an American official said:we will not let American weapons,to be deafeated by soviet arms,Egypt reached it's goal, getting back the sinai, but Israel too won,Israel signed a peace treaty with the largest Arab state.
66. 6 Of October War
sherif ,   egypt   (09.25.13)
I Think as an Egyptian It was a Miracle to cross the Suez Canal and the Mighty Bar-Lev Line and destroy 35 Aircraft in the first day of the war !! And Stop The Israeli Counter-strike with just Troops with anti-tank Missiles ! Israel made Some Victories in the end of the war because of The Nickel Grass Operation Made by USA and without it would have been a total loss to Israel !! In The End we Both Gain Peace , Which was The Best Outcome Of the war ..

how many tanks and aircraft egypt lost ? If it was not the Russian threat and American pressure on Israel to accept ceasefire, Israel would have let the Egyptian army to flee without shoes. Arabs should thank the Russian involvement.
68. Al Aqsa Mosque 'occupied'?
Danny ,   London England   (10.03.13)
'As long as the Al Aqsa Mosque is under Israeli occupation'. He's conveniently overlooked that the site of Al Aqsa was chosen because it was the site of Solomon's Temple as well as Ezra's Temple, later expanded by Herod. Instead of seeing it as occupied we should both see it as a shared heritage of the Family of Abraham, just as we share the Cave of the Patriarchs and Matriarchs in Hebron.
69. open up your eyes
Adel ,   Giza   (10.06.13)
Open up your Eyes and you will see Sinai is under Egyptian control .. if Israel really won the 1973 October war then why you withdrew from Sinai .. being arrogant is a nature of you .. don't you
70. Not Perspective - Fact.
