The US had to threaten military action for Syria to surrender it's chemical arms after gassing it's own citizens. I can't believe that Jordan, Turkey and Israel stood by and didn't offer these helpless citizens nothing, nada, zilch. Turkey and Israel want to be regional powers, however when it is time to MAN-UP they defer the heavy lifting to the US. Obama did the right thing. Why should the US risk one soldier or spend one dollar when regional countries are acting like cowards.

To remind you Israel is still considered at WAR with Syria. Syrian rebels consider Israel as their enemy aswell as they are affiliated with Hamas, Alqueda and other terrorist organizations. Israel's neighboring coutries attacked Israel the day they recieved their mandate and became the State of Israel. in 1948. In addition Syria and Egypt ambushed and attacked Israel in the "1973 Yom Kippur War." The neighboring Arabs countries of Israel have allways had an interest to destroy Israel aswell. Today Syria has a civil war on going. what do you propose or Expect Israel to do for the Syrians being gassed by their own evil government?? Israel gets blamed for anything and everything that happens in the Middle East and can not get involved in an Arab country civil war. Israel doesn't need the World to blame Israel for getting involved in Syrias civil war and ultimately the outcome in Syria's civil war. 1st Syria would not except help from Israel. nor take the help even if it was offered your suggestion of Israel getting involved and helping would only harm Israel. Israel has all the means to help the gassed Syrians; and Israel is known for sending medical crews around the World when tragedy strikes countries in need of help. As Syrians civilians were gassed by thier government; and Neighboring Arabs countries are in turmoil no country can help the Syrian civilians especially Israel where Arabs despise the existence of Israel. Your comment of Israel not helping the gassed Syrians is ridiculous as the Syrian Government is Killing its own people. Generally goverements protect their civilians not glass them. It is IMPORTANT to note that Aum Shinrikyo MANUFACTURED the Sarin they used in the Tokyo subway attack. They did not get it from some other group. Therefore it is very possible that the rebels used the gas just as Russia claims. The UN report ONLY says that gas was used, but has no way of knowing who made it or used it. Given the "outrage" from the rebels that the US was not going to attack Syria after the US and Russia reached a settlement, the use of the gas by the rebel to trigger a US attack can not be ruled out.

The UN report says someone used Sarin (I am unconvinced) and proved that the launch came from an area that was controlled either by Assad or by the Sunni. Page 18 of the report “The sites have been well-travelled by by other individuals both before and during the investigation. Fragments...have clearly been handled/moved prior to the arrival of the investigation team” Page 22 “During the time spent at these locations, individuals arrived carrying other suspected munitions indicating that such potential evidence is being moved and possibly manipulated”
