31. Hopeless
matityahu ,   Slovenia   (10.30.13)
Even if the author's kids would be murdered by the Arabs, she would still be talking about "peace". It's pathological.
32. We are very sorry
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (10.30.13)
Wow, those poor terrorists and murderers, forced to kill us because we live. Why don't we all just leave Israel so they won't be forced to kill us anymore. What a ridiculous article.
33. Jordan is occupying Palestine too!!
Jayjay ,   Israel   (10.30.13)
WHy aren't they murdering them, if its a result of occupation? A really stupid article!!! Appeasing terrorists is counter productive!
34. #4. WB is not occupied state
Harri ,   EU   (10.30.13)
Tomi, you forget that WB is not occupied state like the East European states were some decades ago. If Palestinians get their own state in WB, and Israel would keep controlling it by military, then it would be like soviet style occupation. Current state of WB much worse. WB is more like apartheid state where Israel produces cheap products with Palestinian workers who don't have citizenship and who get only fraction of the wages that Jews would get from the same work. It is more like slavery, and you can bet Obama don't like slavery, and neither do EU.
35. she is delutioned, there was no occupation
ghostq   (10.30.13)
in the 30's, it didn't stoped the palestinians from joining the nazi side. people always mistake the Israeli palestinian fude with the establishment of Israel, but it existed before, before 1948. the main idea of releas murderers that commited murder one, is bad, it will encorage palis to kidnappe soldiers. the peace prosses is not mutuale they made that as pree condition, palestinians will have to give something up in return, and will recognize jews right to exist in their land of Israel.
36. What it means to be rightist
Shachar ,   Eilat   (10.30.13)
Never see the other side. Never weigh up the pro's and cons of any dilemma. Repeat the same mantra again and again like a Zombie. Wouldn't it be nice if someone on the right could think outside the tiny little box they have built themselves, see the other side of an argument and respect others opinions. It is a shame because the mantras, insults and vulgar language make you sound primitive, sometimes moronic and violent. Merav is right, keep your positions but act like responsible adults.
37. to #3 sure they will, just not the backward
ghostq   (10.30.13)
logic, the israeli palestinian fude didn't start under Israeli leadership, palis use it as an excuss and pree condition but if you r believe in excusses for not making peace with israel, palis can and will invent more, from releasing murderers, to even medle with the policy of the arabs inside of Israel. they figured violance can achieve their demands. after all Israel negotiate under fire, it as if bank robber shoot at hostages and make demands for more ransome.
38. releasing murderers
Dik ,   Spijkenisse   (10.30.13)
this morning I watched TV homecoming of murderers in WB. Everyone happy, Abbas crowing victory. But when it comes to business, he will walk away from negotiation table leaving Israel with empty hands. Shalom from Holland
39. #7 so obvious
solomon ,   bklyn   (10.30.13)
that neither Hezbolla or Hamas will ever accept Israel under any circumstances. So obvious that Iran wants to wipe out Israel. Why is it so obvious? Because they say it everyday!!! So obvious, except to someone deaf and blind to facts.
40. Before 1948 Stern and the right wing were the terrorists
Shachar ,   Eilat   (10.30.13)
Back then the British were the occupiers and murdering British soldiers, diplomats and civilians was perfectly acceptable. Now that the boot is on the other foot, the roles reversed, suddenly it's not OK to fight against occupation....
41. #40 Spurious analogy
Jake   (10.30.13)
Stern and Irgun did not the deny the right of Britain to exist, nor work to destroy it as a country, nor target the British mainland or civilians. The target was the British Mandate, which denied the safe passage of millions of Jews from Nazi-occupied Europe to Mandatory Palestine, in defiance of the terms of the Mandate, consigning them to their deaths...despite the contribution of the Yishuv to the British war effort. Perhaps it slipped your mind that the leader of the Irgun, David Raziel, was killed in a British mission in pro-Nazi Iraq during WW2, and Moshe Dayan lost his eye as a Palmach member fighting for Britain in Vichy Syria.
42. #41
Rau   (10.31.13)
Both fight for self determination. What different does it make?
43. to #40 not during the british mandath, during
ghostq   (10.31.13)
the Turkish mandath there use to be raides of arabs on jewish villages. in one point the Turks even kicked out jews from Tel Aviv.
44. #42 rau
solomon ,   bklyn   (10.31.13)
Al-quaeda, the Taliban, also fight for "self-determination" according to you. It does not say much about you if you are blind to the many differences. You only see what you want to see, and damn the truth. Doesn't wash; sorry.
45. #42 rau PS
solomon ,   bklyn   (10.31.13)
They are not fighting for self-determination. They are fighting to wipe out a people that recovered their self-determination after thousands of years. And the arabs threaten to wipe out Israel every day. You are obviously selective in your listening.
46. Merav Betito's main problem...
Alexander ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (10.31.13)
...is that she abuses her democratic rights to 1) promote mass murder and terrorism against Jews and the promotion of anti-Semitic racist incitement perpetraded by Arab dastards, squatters and colonialists in our ancient and current Jewish homeland and 2) she ignores the pain and suffering of Israelis/Jews who have lost family members that have been killed by Arab holy cows - you know the Arabs you can never critize (if you do you're a "racist"), she trivializes the intellectual capacity of most Israelis and puts them down - because she's such a "good person", and 3) she accuses Israel of an occupation that doesn't exist, she implies that 4000 years of Jewish history in Israel is "fake" and she invents a "Palestinian" history that has never existed. Question is what is she personally doing in Israel if she believes that Israel is not our ancient, historical, modern and current homeland? Israel within the "green line" is NOT more Jewish in a historical and legal sense than Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Golan Heights and Gaza. Tel Aviv, Haifa and Ashdod and Herzliya are not "more" Israeli/Jewish than all of Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, Golan and Gaza - the entire land is our historical homeland. Several ancient civilizations in the Middle East can prove that and not one of them spoke of a "Palestinian" people, culture, nation or civilization. Hmm - I wonder why! Coincidence maybe? With regards to Merav Betito there are four possibilities: 1) She's insane and believes her own lies, 2) she's stupid 3) she's uneducated and doesn't know our history and rights to the land or 4) she's a traitor.
47. #44 solomon
Rau   (11.01.13)
I do not agree with any act of terrorism. al Qaeda, Taliban, Irgun, Haganah, suicide bombers are all in the same boat.
48. #36. Being a rightist means being correct.
Chaim ,   Israel   (11.01.13)
#36. What does it mean to be a rightist? It means being absolutely correct about every major issue in Israel's history from Oslo, to Disengagement, to freeing murderers, to ceding Golan (which idiot leftists wanted to do a mere 7 months ago). To everything.
49. #36 Perhaps you ARE right, after all,
On the Balcony   (11.01.13)
a right wing led government is at this very moment releasing prisoners, negotiating the withdrawal of settlements from the occupied territories, reviewing the rights of Palestinian refugees to return and drawing the final borders between the States of Palestine and Israel. So perhaps this time the right is right.
50. #47 rau
solomon ,   bklyn   (11.01.13)
It is good to hear you are against terrorism. It is not good to have you confirm that you close your eyes to the difference between terrorism (targeting of civilians while trying to utterly wipe out the enemy) and defence (not targeting civilians and not trying to utterly wipe out the other). Listing Haganah with the other groups makes me doubt your sincerity.
