7. He was a great actor too
Baruch ,   Paris, France   (11.27.13)
He played magnificently with Uri Zohar in Metzizim (Peeping Toms in English) which epitomised the heady easy life in Tel Aviv in the late 60s and early 70s. The film of (part of) a generation.

I emigrated to Israel when Arik Einstein was just beginning his magnificent career. I became an instant fan, loving his music more & more as I learned Hebrew. Playing his many albums will now be bitter-sweet but we are all richer for this man & his music. RIP

Ben ,   NYC, USA   (11.27.13)
I always thought that he was as great if not greater than Dylan or the Beatles. It is a pity the so few non-Hebrew speakers got to know this great artist. Zichrono L'bracha !

13. Aortic aneurysm
Sharon ,   Netanya   (11.27.13)
A triple A comes on very fast, and very rarely can the patient be saved, even if they are already in the hospital. The blood loss is too fast. This killed actor John Ritter. A shame for his loss.

18. I also am 74 and today
Sagi   (11.27.13)
a little bit of me also died. Arik for me was all that represented the wonderful country I knew, the country and the Tel Aviv that once was and is now gone. Beautiful Israel, salt of the earth, a mensch, are all sentiments which will forever be attached to the name Arik Einstein. Many years ago the epithet a "famous singer" had substance and an entirely different meaning than it has today. Gone but not forgotten, Arik will always be part of me. RIP.
19. Icon of Israel
rivkah f. ,   Jerusalem   (11.27.13)
That mellow, deep voice; great tunes; unpretentious words; modesty of character ... a great singer and a mentsch too. He'll be missed by all of us.
20. His music and his memory live
BUILD BABY BUILD ,   United States   (11.27.13)
I have lost so many of my family and yet, when I think of them, for that second, they live. What a blessing to have his music recorded. Then, somehow, for those moments, he lives.
