Your generalizations make your talkbacks very superficial. I am an American and I have strong morals. I am an American and I love the Jewish People. You may not realize it but these types of remarks weaken the positive image that many Americans have of Israel. I too remember the good ol' days when Israel had a backbone. Is that too general?
32. Reasons why J. Pollard is not guilty
Roland ,   Miami Beach, USA   (12.24.13)
1. The USA held open conferences at academic institutions in Virginia, DC where J.P lectured as a Navy expert illustrating the strengths and weaknesses of the Iraqi nuclear program; at a time when there were already backdoor channels of communication between the US and Israel in the security sphere. 2. The US intelligence establishment was fraught with moles and mercenaries for international communist terror- neighbors if Pollard and finger pointers with secret clearance. 3. The State Department deliberately fed disinformation to the court in order to obscure it's own tactics in the Mole hunt the ensued thereafter. J. Pollard was and is an innocent man. His release should come without any preconditions.
33. To Sarah B. @#1. I am simply ticked off
Israeli 2   (12.24.13)
until I read your talkback #1. For some reason, I find your assessment too optimistic and too simplistic. To the contrary do I say. WHY involve Pollard??? As much as I have signed many petitions for his release, I fear that BIBI will now actually GIVE the "Pals" what they want. Concessions are going to be greater in the name of Pollard!!! NO!!! It should NOT be like that. Break off talks immediately. Pollard is another story.
34. Miki Tampa - and what's your point?
Ephraim ,   Jerusalem   (12.24.13)
OK, he was against Obama and for Romney. OK, he spoke against Obama policies What's the problem? He was right. All of Obama's domestic and foreign policies are a complete failure. Worse for America than Israel. Perhaps if more people spoke the truth about Obama, America would not be in such a big mess right now. I can see him getting elected once, especially after 8 years of Bush, but what was America smoking to elect him a second time. Obama is the worst president in our lifetimes. That takes Carter off the hook. That's something I never thought was possible.

As every Jew would know, it is Kol Nidrei. You've been outed. Now shut up and get lost.

Because it is the perfect leverage. The United States cannot say yes. So Israel uses that fact to their advantage. Break of talks now; increase housing allotments in Judea and Samaria; re-arrest the freed terrorist murderers; revoke all work permits issued to West Bank Arabs ... and when the United States protests, as it surely will, all Israel has to do is inquire sweetly as to the health and general well-being of Jonathan Pollard. The message will be clear. It's called brinksmanship and, in this instance, Israel holds the hole card. The ersatz "Palestinians" have nothing to offer; the United States has only Pollard to offer -- and they cannot and will not -- so Israel gets to act with impunity with respect to negotiations and the ersatz "Palestinians" generally, and the disposition of Judea and Samaria specifically.
38. #29: Of course...
Israeli 2   (12.24.13)
Bibi has and Bibi can...but Bibi won't. I never knew you had or have so much faith in Bibi. Thus far all that Bibi did was put Israel in Obama's care....who is not too good of a baby sitter, now is he?

LION OF JUDAH ,   JUDAH THE LION   (12.24.13)
Jews will not convert. The Jews will always be the tribe of Judah. It is written that all nation will be against Israel, but at the end of the day the tribe of Judah the Jews will be the winner.
40. BB doing a rerun of the Wye
bernard ross   (12.24.13)
there is no connection between pollard and the talks unless BB is seeking to give away jewish patrimony and seeks a sweetenr. Perhaps he is seeking a rerun of the same thing he caused before. A labor victory as a result of his giveaways and rejection from the right. He is a trojan horse sent to split up the right and cause a labor victory with the same story of pollard promises as before

Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.24.13)
Au contraire. All Israel has to do is stand its ground. Whatever the Americans say, respond "Jonathan Pollard." The ersatz "Palestinians" have taken themselves out of this -- they threatened to break off negotiations; fine, go for it. See where that leaves them. If done properly, and with the maximum leverage possible, it leaves them packing and heading home to Jordan. Once Pollard is safely in Israel, we can do to the U.S. what the U.S. did to Israel.
42. I'll believe it when I finally see it
Cameron ,   USA   (12.24.13)
For now, all I see is Pollard workin' his running wheel, and Net begging like an old woman at the foot of Obama.
43. ***Sarah*** at 37, "The US cannot say yes",
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (12.24.13)
yes, I am also inclined to think so...so the inclusion of Pollard in the talks, could do serious harm to Kerrys activities. As always, YOU are smarter than the rest...
44. To: Israeli 2 at No. 38
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.24.13)
Prime Minister Netanyahu is considerably smarter and more resilient than people tend to give him credit for being. Put Israel in Obama's care? Is that why he's playing the Pollard card to the fullest? I'd be curious to learn exactly who Snowden is working for ..... the timing is almost too perfect.
45. To: Chris at No. 43
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (12.25.13)
Serious harm? I'd say it torpedoes them. Assuming Kerry has the balls to turn up in Israel, knowing that everyone in the Israeli hierarchy -- and everyone not in the Israeli hierarchy -- is laughing at him and at the American administration. Except perhaps for Biden. No one's heard form or seen Biden for quite a while now. Prime Minister Netanyahu has made Obama look like a fool. We say jump; Obama says "how high?" He can't top the Pollard card which happened along at the best possible moment. The ersatz "Palestinians" have been reduced to a complete irrelevance (well, that's what they've always been to us; now they know it). Bottom line -- a lot of thoughtful people will be asking "If the United States forced Israel to release hundreds of terrorist murderers, why can't the United States show its good faith as a so-called honest broker and release one man (Pollard) who has more than paid his debt to society?" Obama is damned if he does; damned if he doesn't. If he takes the position that Pollard is incarcerated until he -- Obama -- decides otherwise, then Israel will simply shrug its shoulders and start authorizing housing permits in Judea and Samaria left, right and center. We'll tighten our hold in areas previously under control of the inept ersatz "Palestinian" security forces, and when the United States protests, we will inquire as to the health and well-being of Jonathan Pollard. To which there will be, of course, no answer. Next step will be to revoke work permits issued to West Bank Arabs. And when Abbas complains to the United States, and the United States, via its petulant and sulky president, says "Hey, what gives?" -- Israel's response will be to inquire after the health and well-being of Jonathan Pollard. At which point in time, someone in the United States administration who can muster an IQ higher than that of a mushroom will tell the American emperor that he has no clothes, and he's been endplayed. All that, and an embarrassingly high golf handicap for someone who spends as much time on the links as Obama does.
46. My very dear Sarah B.
Israeli 2   (12.25.13)
Thank you very kindly for your response. As a very clever lawyer. I appreciate that koph. My question now is: Since you are so certain that the US will not and cannot release Pollard, why? Is he that dangerous to the USA? Or is it simply antisemitism or what? I hope YNet will publish this writing and you would still be coming around to read it. In any case, I hope you are right...but what if they release Pollard just in spite? Will they get Jerusalem and Nablus (Schem) and...and?
47. #1 Sarah B
Marco ,   Spain   (12.25.13)
Pollard will go free, but not in your life time B!tch...
48. #37 The irony, the hypocrisy, the chutzpah!
On the Balcony   (12.25.13)
Bibi says ""In the close ties between Israel and the United States, there are things that must not be done and that are not acceptable to us" - and then demands the release of someone Israel was paying to spy on the U.S.? But this will backfire. The US may indeed agree to release Pollard in exchange for a signed agreement --and it will point to this demand as an example of ISRAEL's insincerity and dishonesty in the talks.
49. #37 Israel is on the brink
On the Balcony   (12.25.13)
of unprecedented international condemnation, isolation and sanction, not only by the nations of the world but by a great many Jews who no longer recognize the face of the monster we appear to have created. A monster which spawns twisted demented demonic rhetoric from ersatz "Jews" like you.
