This is Israel's chance to show off some of its green building, alternative energy and water technologies. Don't just do the usual stuff. Be bold.

As long as this is to actually save money and not just some green initiative then it should be encouraged. If its just a green initiative to show how environmentally friendly Israel is and savings won't justify the investment then we should waste millions on a green gimmick. The recycling is just common sense and something that should have always been done to save public money not out being environmentally friendly as its being sold as here and if they haven't been doing it before now they should be condemned not praised for starting.
8. Well done!

Nice to read. I hope that they will also think about being "green" in their every-day life. Israel society has still a lot to learn even if a lot has changed in the last years. Still we use too many plastic bags, still we use too many throw-away-cups and plates, still we buy too much food and throw too much away, still we (need to ) use the car too much...

I have an idea - let's attract hundreds of millions of dollars of private sector financing from abroad to build a network that let's everyone use electric cars. Oh, wait, that already happened, and we, the government of Israel, did everything possible to make sure it failed.
