Peace is a much more desirable strategic weapon than any fancy weapon you can come up with. Eternally ruling/occupying another people is a continuiing receipt for disaster. Kerry wants to be No. 1 once in his life.

He needs to work closer with bipartisan senate and congress and represent the thrust of core American interests ie secure Israel to secure America against brutal Islam faction inside and outside USA. That brave approach could earn to be considered for the hot spot.
