1. It's good to hear that the
arne ,   chicago usa   (01.03.14)
top republicans are there. Although Kerry means well I really don't think he's been looking at the whole picture (hamas-hezballa-al cada ) etc.He cannot put Israel in a precarious position.Best he put things off for a long while. This doesn't look like the time for peace talks--Looks like it might be the time for war.
2. #! - Even Chamberlain meant well
Salim ,   Canada   (01.03.14)
3. PA will go to ICC, continue talks in exchange for prisoners
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.03.14)
4. Middle East Peace Process
Harold ,   USA   (01.03.14)
I predict the borders of Israel and the future State of Palestine will be imposed on both parties by US and the EU.
5. The Pestillians are right about Kerry !
Chris Rettenmoser ,   Bayerisch Gmain Germ   (01.03.14)
KICK HIM OUT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
6. in other words
(01.03.14)
they were just playing along until the prisoners were released.
7. Harold #4
arne ,   chicagousa   (01.03.14)
then what?
8. Freed terrorists for nothing-great move Abbas
Yahudi   (01.03.14)
9. Kerry and McCain
Walid Awad ,   East Jerusalem   (01.03.14)
Senator McCain is a hypocrite, if he was a reasonable man, he would pay a visit to Ramallah and meet President Abbas. As for Secretary Kerry, many welcome his frequent visits and wish him success. He is a man of courage.
10. But Abbas is scarcely ...
Sarah B ,   U.S.A. / Israel   (01.04.14)
... Mother Teresa, is he? So Erekat's comment is a complete non sequitur and entirely irrelevant. Hmm. Things didn't go terribly well for Abbas & Co. in the meeting with Kerry, eh? I guess Abbas didn't like the ultimatum which Kerry delivered. Oh well. Too, too, bad. Cry me a river.
11. Hey lefties tomorow is another day
David ,   On this planet   (01.04.14)
You can exchange your mother in law for peace with your partners, that should work
12. Israel, backed fully by international law, demands to be...
N.L.Katz ,   Qatzrin, Israel   (01.04.14)
...accepted by those who have attempted to bring its demise, time and again, as the sovereign nation-state of the Jewish people. And, Israel's demand, backed again by international law, is to ensure the any future boundaries are secure and recognized. And, it is for Israel, not for anyone else, to determine Israel's security; especially not for those who still call in their charter, i.e. the PLO Charter, for Israel's demise.
13. The problem with negotiations
Harri ,   EU   (01.04.14)
The problem with negotiations is that Palestinians don't have anything to loose. If they can't have their own state, they will pursue for Israeli citizenship in UN. They will never stop trying because they have no other choice, and eventually they will succeed because they grow faster and finally they will have also the "right of return" like Jews have now. If you cant make a two state model offer that can be accepted by Palestinians, your children will have no Israel. Use your brains, not your guts when you negotiate.
14. Mother Teresa
Roy ,   yakima   (01.04.14)
Mother Teresa's stamp of approval would not be on Abbas's approach or the hatred of Jews that is taught the average Palestinian child ....
15. So what do Netanyahu andIsrael want.
Joe Asfour ,   Burke,Va   (01.04.14)
So after all what do Netanyahu and Israel want out of the so-called peace process?
16. If Abbas was half of Mother Theresa
Avi ,   USA   (01.04.14)
There would be peace but since he's a Holocaust denying terrorist we don't have Peace.
17. While delusional Peace-Addicts talk of "Palestinian partners
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.04.14)
the sane Israeli majority talks of the " Arab enemy". That is the crux of this whole mess. Once Islam is recognized for the fascist movement it is, the rest will be only a matter of choosing weapons to destroy it. In the meantime we've got Obama & his terrorist's fan club at the White House. Not encouraging.
18. I Think Abbas Should Try It
DemocracyRules ,   Canada   (01.04.14)
It's hard to compare Abbas to Mother Theresa because she was never a terrorist, and she didn't murder people. I think Abbas should make an attempt to copy her, so we can compare. His first step should be to obey the hidden 11th commandment: 'Don't be a jerk'.
19. Has Abbas gave....
Robert ,   Farmingon,wv   (01.04.14)
Hey Erekat I got a question? has Abbas gave the Jews and Netanyahu any reason to think otherwise , I don't think so. if it looks like a dog , and barks like a dog , chances are it is a dog.
20. #3 Not mine
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.04.14)
21. Mother Teresa was no saint...
Nick Sporek ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (01.04.14)
She was just the poster girl for the Catholic church to inspire people. Watch the documentary on youtube Mother Teresa - Hell's Angel by Christopher Hitchens ...if you think you can handle it ;^) Anyway so Abbas is and was a major terrorist, just because he's not as obvious about it as Hamas doesn't make him any more trustworthy. It seems there is something Israelis and palestinians can agree on, we both don't want Kerry here. Maybe there's some hope in that. LOL
22. Mother Teresa wasnt the great person she was made out to be
k ,   US   (01.04.14)
a better analogy would be to compare her to Golda Meir who was a much better and a more reighteous person, or even Herzl or Ben Gurion who were the greatest people to ever walk the earth
23. I'm back to my old pathetic broken record Obama, ICC, UNSC
Steve Benassi ,   Silver Bay, MN USA   (01.04.14)
24. Mother Teresa wanted people to suffer for sin.
JMK ,   NYC   (01.04.14)
She did not help alleviate suffering, she increased their suffering to fulfill her theology to emulate the fiction on the fictional cross. Mother Teresa, more suffering means more redemption.
25. #22:You're more right about "Mother"Theresa than you suspect
tom ,   tel aviv   (01.04.14)
26. His goal is to go on with the plan to destroy Israel in stag
Alan ,   SA   (01.04.14)
Mother Theresa wasn't interested in this strategy
27.  @7
Philip ,   Afula, Israel   (01.04.14)
Exactly, that was my first thought.
28. For many many years
Sarah ,   The Netherlands   (01.04.14)
"Israelis" are telling the world: Palestinians are out to destroy "Israel". But in the meanwhile there is almost nothing left of Palestine. So who is destroying who?
29. Abbas and Arabs Deluded
Zechariah   (01.04.14)
Abbas and the Arabs and Islamic and Many Others vastly underestimate the effects of the Shoah and other Massacres upon the General Jewish Consciousness .The Jordan Valley does not need Annexation but it needs to be Secured against the Islamic Jihadi Fatah Baath Torturers and Psycho Suicidal Mass Murderers .The Arabs in Judae and Samaria are many and cannot want to be part of a greater Syria fractured into Barbaric Gangs and Warlords ..The Democratic Human Rights Powers are the better of the worse and need to be involved with the Jews who are Vastly Outnumbered and have Finally Become Warriors in their Self Defense in their Ancient Homeland ..
30. #4. Nobody can impose on Israel.
Chaim ,   Israel   (01.04.14)
#4. In the real world, noboby can impose on Israel. Israel is a significant power. Israel is easily capable of resisting any such attempts and driving "Palestinian" poseurs from our land forever.
